It was a good show. Not the best, but I didn't mind watching.

The Touch the Sky storyline is starting to take over, and that's going not going to be a good thing. Hopefully, we'll see less of that as we go into fall.

I love Jenna! Give this actress a contract. I don't know her name, but whoever she is, she has chemistry with Darin Brooks. I'm telling you, I will take anything over Max and Stephanie. ANYTHING! But in reality, I'm praying night and day that this show brings back Abby, with Ashley Benson or without her. MABBY had so much hope, and were the best potential couple along with EJAMI.

I'm growing tired of Nick Fallon. He's getting on my nerves! I'd rather see Chelsea than Nick.

It was great to see Adrienne again. Judi Evans is such a gem. I wish they would increase her role, and I think they will eventually. Does anyone else notice that the mentions of Justin and the kids are becoming more and more mentioned each time Adrienne is on. Hopefully, they aren't far behind.

Loved the hospital scenes with the Brady siblings. It was cute to see Bo and Roman ragging on Kayla about Steve's parenting skills. This is what DAYS is about. Family scenes. I love them.

I'm not growing tired of Nick......I'm growing tired of him being in bad storylines! Now he has to take care of these two kids? WTH? Please put him in better storylines because they're totally wasting Blake - the best young actor on the show.

Those were the best scenes today. I loved when Roman imitated Steve, "Dude...did I forget something? Dude....."

Today was an okay show, although it felt like a lot of filler. I liked the Brady family scenes, and it seemed that we were getting hints of a Roman/Anna/Tony triangle. Roman seemed pretty insistent that the Kate relationship is completely dead, and if that is true and they are going to pursue the Anna angle, I have a feeling we may be losing Lauren Koslow soon. I just don't see them keeping both Kate and Anna. Then again, Roman is also thinking Andre is going to target him again, so maybe Roman will be a casualty of the bloodless (so far) Dimera/Brady feud.

I always like Steve/Adrienne scenes, but I wish they would actually come up with a story that makes full use of Adrienne. This is one of DAYS problems right now. We have newbie characters that a lot of people don't care about in frontburner storylines (Touch the Sky), while old favorites like Adrienne and Anna have nothing to do. Actually, that goes for John and Marlena, too, I guess. I know that budget is probably the problem with J/M, but I just don't understand why DAYS keeps bringing back characters like Adrienne, Anna and even Lexie and then they do nothing with them.

I don't know what's going on with Max's blonde friend. At first, I thought maybe she was an undercover cop, but after today I'm wondering if she's working for the bad guys--maybe the Dimeras? Are we supposed to remember that this is the same woman who played the fake Jennifer when Jack escaped from the castle? Is the person on the phone Andre? I guess I'll have to stay tuned.

Nick is becoming such a waste of time. What's he thinking taking those kids back to Salem? What's Aunt Maggie going to say? Chances are they would have done better in foster care, with parents who actually know how to deal with kids. Nick can't even take care of himself (blackmailed by Willow the hooker, scammed by China Lee, the hustler--and probable hooker), let alone two hyper boys. I used to think Nick was too nice; now I think he's too stupid. It also looks like Chelsea is getting ready to ping pong back to Jett. Stephanie and Jeremy--who cares? Let this story end!!!!!

I love Bo and Hope. Their little scene at the end was the best part of the show.

This episode wasn't TERRIBLE but it wasn't good.

The amount of airtime dominated by TouchTheSky in this ep though was HIGHLY annoying. I wish they could have had AT LEAST one less TTS scene and SOMETHING, ANYTHING else... be it Bope doing something with the feud, Andre talking to Stefano, Abe and Lexie making love for the first time since she was back, Tony and Anna having dinner, Phillip and Billie going to visit Lucas in the hospital... ANYTHING... ANYTHING... to better balance things out.

The family scenes between Steve-Adrienne and Kayla/Roman/Bo were the highlight for me. That is what Days is about. I also thought Shelley Hennig did well in the Stephangst scenes in her talk with Chelsea but then they contrast that with Max being a skeez and I'm just annoyed. The endless love pingpong tables are annoying. It's hard for me to get invested at ALL in caring whether Steph chooses Max or Jeremy or Chelsea choose Nick or Jett because the characters are all so shallow and I know by the time I start to like something it will just pingpong back the other way so what's the point.

I don't give a crap about Jenna or any of these dayplayers Hogan is always shoving in our faces. I don't care who she's working for or why I just know that she makes Max less likable if one minute he is making out with his niece and the next some random chick. What a scuzz.

So tired of the misogyny of Days with now it turning out that China Lee was picked up for soliciting. NO MORE HOOKERS, HOGAN! I'm so SICK of this misogynist crap with every storyline being centered around some devious woman either being a scheming slut who uses and abuses men unless she's allowing them use and abuse her for money or centered around some woman being a victim of another man's sexual harassment or womanizing or mistreatment and needing to be rescued by some other guy. This isn't what female viewers want to see, idiot! Daytime is not about SEDUCTION, it's about ROMANCE.

And is Nick an ex-hooker magnet or what? Each month this summer he's been blackmailed by one and then there's the fact that two women he's slept with... Billie and Chelsea... also have their own past with prostitution. This is ridiculous.

Toups I share your frustration about the way Blake Berris is being used in all of this. I'm tired of seeing him manipulated all the time and want so much more for him. As contrived as that whole plot was with the kids, I still enjoyed them because I thought Blake did a good job with them and the kids were cute, but it's all just so damn idiotic.

Okay show today, with TTS being the lowlight for me. I like how Hogan has brought the family aspect back to the show, but certain aspects are a downer for me also.

Bo and Hope are so cute as a couple. Great ending with them. Sheffer is making me like Roman again, slightly. The Brady scenes were a treat. Judi Evans looked gorgeous today. I love the hair,

I do have to say i'm starting to like Roman more and more..Josh Taylor does the brother scenes with Bo and Kayla very well...Touch the Sky usually interests me, but not today...I'm getting tired of it being on 4 to 5 days a week also..Break down that stuff into 3 eps a week, and give me some john/marlena, tony/anna, or abe/lexie...

Yes, Steve did always call Justin "Dimples." And Wally Kurth definitely has some of great ones.

I thought there was some nice historical references in the Steve and Adrienne conversation today to some classic and powerful Steve and Adrienne scenes. To encourage Steve that he could figure out how to take care of the baby, Adrienne was reminding Steve of times when he reacted instinctively to care for someone (or animal) in a vulnerable situation - when he took in the injured bird when he was little and when he took care of someone after they were attacked.

The bird story was significant because many years ago it was how Adrienne convinced Steve that he actually had a younger sister who existed and she was that sister. It was a story that no one else would have known about except their mother. And Adrienne referenced that same injured bird story when she was helping break Steve out of the mental institution and was trying to remind him of who he was.

The taking care of someone after they were attacked was a subtle reference to the time when their father raped Adrienne and she shot and killed him - Steve found them and took the fall for killing Duke (initially, Adrienne was so tramautized she could not remember the events). The scene when Steve finds her just after Duke is shot is very heartbreaking - I just uploaded it to youtube today. Judi Evans does a beautiful job.

eta: Also felt some history reference when Steve told Kayla that he knew she had faith in him - he just wants to live up to that faith that she has in him. That phrase is one of the most classic lines from Steve's wedding vows to Kayla (yacht wedding).

I liked today's episode much more than I had expected to. Kayla's reluctance to allow Steve to babysit surprised me, but that actually made the story a bit more interesting for me. This baby story might turn out to be a good thing for Steve and Kayla. I'm liking them more and more--and this gives me a chance to see them in a different light. I only saw a little bit of them in their first run on the show, so I'm kinda being re-introduced to them. Steve and Adrienne's scenes were well-done too. I didn't see Judi as Adrienne the first time either. I do like this character and I hope they give her a bit more of a storyline. She does look fabulous with the dark hair.

Hope, Bo, Roman and Kayla -- loved the interaction. Reminded me of old Days--relaxed, natural, fun. I think I'm finally after all of these years starting to accept Josh Taylor as Roman (took me long enough!). Loved Bo and Hope at the end. We need more of that!

Nick and the whole stepfather thing is not working for me. It doesn't make sense. Send the children to child protective services and be done with it.

All and all not a bad show. Kinda of filler, but enjoyable (except for Touch the Thigh, I mean Sky). The dialogue was good. I always enjoy that!

It actually was a classic episode of Days today. Good family scenes with heartfelt moments and even humor.

Roman/Hope/Bo/Kayla was great. Good mix of humor, love, and just relationships. Kayla's little dream about Steve was good too. Bo and Roman making fun of Steve was hilarious. Who is this man? It can't be JT! .

Steve/Adrienne was the other highlight. Lots of history mentions today with them and I am glad they are at least mentioning Justin now. About time.

The Nick story is amusing. It could definitely help mature his character and help him grow IMO.

Chelsea/Jett-boring. Max/Jenna-HOT!! I knew I recognized that girl and then recalled her as faux-Jen. Bad memory but she was good today. Darin and her had chemistry and the scenes with them were fun.

Glad Stephanie felt weird about Max and Trevor played Jeremy well today. I am starting to get into him a bit.

Great start to the week.

I thought it was completely awful. Nonsensical writing throughout; why would Adrienne have Steve learn about *nursing*, and for that matter, why do they keep throwing around "mother" and "father?" They're only temporarily fostering this baby. Why did those stupid flight attendants interrupt the kids when Nick was trying to get their mothers' last name, why are they making those kids so utterly exaggerated, and why does Days keep hiring so many bit-players, in the first place? Especially ones that look and act like porn stars. Roman and Bo were asses, Max gave that same bottom-toothed "ugh" expression that he ends half of his scenes with, and Jeremy ended a scene with that incredulous look that he and Stephanie *always* do, no matter what.

IMNSHO, everyone was phoning it in. I didn't think this episode was anything like classic Days.

I've discussed this at length in the monthly threads on the main A stories as established by Week 1...which Martin's secret was one of them. Most soaps would have an A story one week with all the B/C plots just orbitting about. BTG did that well itself in the first two/three weeks. But like I mentioned before one of the A stories (Dani/Bill/Hayley) they can't keep going to that at the moment since it was already overkill by the end of Month 1. The other one...the Silk Press storyline...was really the only one that has been well-paced in my opinion with twists, turns, and builds...including subplots and near-misses. But that was not going to explode before May Sweeps. So that left Martin's secret...which as I said...started off well. I loved how it started with Martin having problems sleeping, but NO images. Then we got sounds. THEN we started to get images. And NOW those images are getting more established. But before we got all that, his storyline...which has been established to be a main one...vanished for a month and a half. While it worked for the storyline since Month 2 gave Martin (and Brandon Clayborn to grow) time to be more established...along with his family...the story of his secret could have also been a story that had a nice slow burn (which I love) to the show while having the other B/C plots orbitting it. Again, not mad at it since it allowed the audience to learn more about Martin and his family life. It also allowed for other B/C plots to grow on the audience. I also think the story development for that A story might have suffered from the writers still trying to find a rhythm that works for this show.   In any case, I also said that I felt they might go old school soap in May. And by old school I meant as an A story is climaxing, the writers take another story that will be the next one and start to build it up again, while also starting another plot as a C plot. And right now, we have the SilkPress storyline climaxing while Martin's nightmares (with images) have finally started to come back into play. I mentioned when I saw the promos of Martin vs Ted that hopefully the reveal would trigger Martin to the point that we FINALLY get to see what he did. So far...how Martin's been acting since the reveal, being so triggered, I still feel that is how we will see how things happened...allowing the next A story to finally take off.    Fingers crossed.
    • You know what? After all the men she's been with dying, it's only appropriate that she try her hand with women. Only then will she discover how much of a curse she is when it comes to relationships. Of course, I don't think the show would go there, but if they do, I wonder how Carly would react to her daughter being with Robin's.
    • If I'm not mistaken, much of this took place while Claire Labine was writing LOL -- and believe me, it was a very compelling show!  Probably the best soap on the air during Labine's short tenure as head-writer.  I assume Labine left LOL to create Ryan's Hope in 1975, but much of the action your describe seems to be her work.  Not sure why -- maybe some dates are off.
    • Felicia and Rachel were suddenly represented as friends when Mitch came back to Bay City in 1986 in order to try to add tension to the storyline of Mitch and Felicia getting together. I suppose we are lucky that Margaret DePriest didn't eliminate Felicia as she did Quinn and Maisie for being outside the "core families" of McKinnon/Love/Cory.   Felicia was more antagonistic when she was first introduced. She brought Carl to town not knowing he was Donna's ex. She was carrying on an affair with Cass while he was sneaking around with Cecile behind her back and was livid with him when she found out. She was resentful when Cass signed Julia to Winthrop Publishing. She was friendly with Lily though IIRC.
    • Just coming to comment about Joss and I see there is some conversation. I want to know what's with the subtle "moments" between Joss and Emma. I've been noticing it, but maybe I'm just overthinking it.

    • In regards to Sam and Amanda... both of them were immature and crappy people.  She was a spoiled daddy's girl while he had a chip on his shoulder.  Both were stubborn and pigheaded... and I'm thankful I've resisted wearing the 2025 lens of assuming women are empowering and men are toxic.... when quite frankly both men and women could stand to be a little less toxic (in real life, of course).. not on my soaps where toxicity should be the norm.
    • I'm copying and pasting the entire post because, while I enjoyed the watch, I agree with every single one of your points (as I posted above I thought the dialogue tried for clever sophistication without sounding realistic throughout, in fact.)
    • I've just been over Josslyn since her corn costume on Halloween, putting her into a "leading lady" kind of position, simply because she is Carly's daughter, all while backburning other children is annoying AF.
    • Hilarious that Steffy just barges into Brooke's house to see Hope without knocking. Ridge bought it, so I guess she feels she's entitled to.
    • Joss is nowhere near the top of my list to keep currently.  I just wouldn't kill her off and consider bringing her back sometime down the line.  I guess it depends on how well the show is able to develop the next generation of talent with Rocco, Danny, Georgie, etc.
