I don't know if this will make you feel any better but all I've seen or heard from the actors at DAYS is how much they love their scripts, how excited they are to be working with Hogan and how they much they like what he has written for their characters as opposed to the direction their characters had been going in the past few years.

Corday can't force him to write anything, because Corday isn't credited as the headwriter.

He can suggest things. He can tell him who he wants him to write for. But as for the actual creative material? He can't force that. He can fire him if he doesn't like what he's doing, but he can't force a man credited as headwriter to write anything he doesn't want to.

Meanwhile, I'm sick of the Brady/DiMera feud. It's gone on for years and years, and by now I just don't care why they hate one another. Corday running back to the "tried and true" says to me that they've run out of ideas, and now they're having to rehash the same old plot in hopes that it'll be the saving grace.

Corday is banking on ONE story way too much. That's always a huge, huge mistake. Because when that flops, you've got nothin'.

I can't believe I just read through 7 pages of some great posts and endless ridiculous bickering. I love a good debate on SON but sometimes we can be SO petty and nitpick when we shouldn't. Guys, can we just all calm down and stop jumping each other's bones for HAVING AN OPINION?

Summer 2004.

Crystal leads Marlena to the prison rooftop.

Helicopters fly above, pointing guns.

Marlena begs for her life.

The helicopter shoots her off.

Everyone thinks she is dead.

But she wasn't! They said she'd come back with more of a backbone, we were promised she wouldn't whine again and would stop going to John to protect her. She would be THE HEROINE.

For the most part, Marlena's back to her true self. But still...

...second verse, same as the first. Been there, done that. I want something new.

He's not bringing the Brady/DiMera feud back to end it. He's bringing it back because he can't think of anything else to get the ratings up. If he's using this as the show's saving grace, do you really think he's going to end it and have it resolved by summer's end? Very doubtful. He's going to milk this for all it's worth in hopes of getting viewers back. Sadly, Corday's an idiot and doesn't realize how much people dont care anymore.

DOOL_Fan4Life, you so remind me of myself seven years ago. Always believing what Corday said. Always inhaling every lie and believing it to be the gospel. Going from thread to thread, posting about what a turnaround Days was about to make -- full of excitement.

In time, if the show's around long enough, you'll find yourself just as realistic and jaded as I am.
