Who played Carly the best on GH? My vote goes to Tamara Braun

Sarah Brown. I mean, really, come on.

Tamara Braun I think but I really enjoy Sarah Brown too.

I may be the only one but I thought Jennifer Bransford was not that bad.

I don't like Laura Wright as Carly but she is a good actress, loved her as Cassie in GL. I just think Carly's not for her.

Sarah Brown. If it wasn't for her, that character wouldn't have become the "signature" role it is today. Sarah Brown CREATED the character and worked her ass off laying the foundation of strong ass history for Laura Wright to swoop in and claim as if it were her own. The other day when Laura Wright's Carly was all like, "I remember when I first met you..." I was like, "No, b!tch -- it was SARAH at the jukebox at Jake's... not you."

I've said it before in other Best Carly threads, that I think Jenny Bransford was thrown under a bus. She had no idea what character she was being cast for, because her audition was for "Drew" -- which is an INCREDIBLY risky mislead if you're looking for an actor to portray a specific character.

This is hard. Well, Laura Wright, is definetly last!!!

My favorite would have to be Sarah Brown. No one can ever top the original. This woman is AMAZING.

Next would be Jennifer Bransford. I think they should have given her a chance. She did a wonderful job playing into the breakdown storyline. I wonder why the hell they canned her??

Tamara is next. I always thought she was overrated. The only scenes that latched me to her, were Michaels "death". I truly started respecting her for those scenes. She gave it!!!

Laura Wright is horrible and the way she plays Carly makes me think she's a bitch behind the scenes too. That's all I have to say about her.

My favorite Carly was Jennifer Bransford *ducks*. Come on, she really wasn't that bad. She brought vulnerability to the role, but was also able to keep that "Don't mess with me" trait that all of the Carly's had at one time or another. I also enjoy Laura Wright, just because she makes the role so fun. Tamara was okay and I didn't see Sarah.

Sarah Brown IS Carly. Carly died in 2001.

Tamara Braun for her credit, had a lot of charisma, but she was never Carly. I do think she was pretty great to watch though. But again, NEVER Carly.

Yeah, I think there was a sense of entitlement to Tamara's Carly, too... but still, there was also a sense of Carly being trashy and trying to pose as if she wasn't. Laura Wright's Carly acts as if she's been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and lesser people aren't worthy to share the same air as she. She acts like a spoiled brat having temper tantrums. :rolleyes: And she always seems to think she's above criticism and judgment. :rolleyes: Part of it is due to the writing change in the character and the other part is totally Wright.

Tams' Carly was too soft and her Carly had no identity, her identity was wrapped up with Sonny.
