I think this will make a lot of people here happy.

The actress who plays Willow(Anne B - I forget her surname) is leaving DAYS.

Is this the start of Sheffer's newbie characters getting dumped? :D

I'm going to firmly believe that this exit was not planned. This is yet another rewrite. I'm not going to be angry over it, just because I know I have other things to look forward to, like the DiMeras, Doug and Julie, etc.

You know....I firmly believe that Corday told Hogan who to write for and when it was obvious that it wasn't working, he decided to do a big interview with SOD to "clear the air" so to speak. Lol, that interview was funny.

YEEHAH!!! B)

There were times when I liked her but the vets are needed on screen and she isn't. I do think Drew is right that it may have been a re-write. I saw the writing on the wall today though with her in jail. I just saw it all coming to an end.

I still think she would've been gone. I called it when she joined that she would be gone by summer but I do think she would've lasted maybe until June. I think Corday is forcing this earlier.

I also saw the end of Willow when Gaby showed up but I am curious to see if even she will stay now with the changes being made.

Sorry Drew :( . I know you had to put up with alot because of your love for her. I know what it's like to lose a favorite so my sympathies. I am glad you are seeing this as something the show has to go though. It sucks because you lost both Ashley and Annie. I hope the good things that are to come make you feel better and help you get past this :)

I totally agree with you Ryan.

Corday wanted to focus on the younger crew and introduce new characters with cheaper actors.

It's why we're getting Stephanie in the form of a freaking Miss Teen whatever.

Hogan supposedly wanted to write for the vets but Corday insisted he not. Simple as that. I'm sure SOME of it had to do with budget but Corday always tries to change the show and it ALWAYS backfires on him.

When on earth is he going to learn? We went through this in 2001 with Langan, we went through this in 2003 with Reilly and we're going through this again in 2007 with Sheffer.

I agree, Phoenix. I saw the end coming too. Especially after the whole thing with Bo and Hope's house. This could be a re-write, but it does make sense. When Jed left, I also thought "Oh, I bet she's next."

I just wonder how they will address the baby issue. She is still pregnant isn't she? And when it's with Shawn Douglas's baby, she won't just leave.

Now, I know this was a possible re-write, but I do wonder if we will see more of family members coming on temporarily and they factor into the family member that was originally here leaving. We saw that with Connor, and now with Jed. Interesting.....

    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
