ITA!

But the problem is that people cannot tell if someone is being respectful or not. I have been accused of being disrespectful to many posters. Was it my intention to be disrespectful? Of course not. They took it that way. I think once people sign on to SON, they need to release any personal feelings they have in them while logged on. If not, it only ends up with people have their feelings hurt.

That place is notoriously negative, though, LoL.

Most boards either love it, or the opinion is mixed. That's pretty good, I think.

But yes, agreeing to disagree is what it should always come down to.

Oh, I agree. However, I do think tone of some posts needs to be watched too. People post things and sometimes they have a tone to them that another poster doesn't like and then things get heated. That is why I think people can't tell. I made a post last week about that. I think if people just choose their words carefully and watch the tone of their post there won't be a problem. People are never going to release their personal feelings, at least not most of them. The best way to go about keeping things respectful is to think before your post and watch the tone and word choice of the post. That is JMO.

Oh, and Andre, people can say someone is wrong. It's not like it's a mandate. It's their opinion and they believe that someone is wrong from their perspective. Doesn't mean they are belittleing someone or not accepting their opinion. They just disagree. I don't see what you are seeing here I suppose. It's all opinion and people believe that others are wrong. Simple as that.

I guess that's where we differ. I don't think people should say others are wrong. No one can be wrong if it's opinion; it's impossible. So, to me, the statement is belittling and means they don't accept your opinion.

I guess we just see it diffrently. Like I said, it's just people's way of saying they disagree. Perhaps they should say disagree instread of your wrong but whatever. Sometimes an opinion can be wrong though. There are some who will post about a show and haven't even watched it or watched like 5 minutes of it and then post an opinion that is completely off base and off the mark. Whatever the case, I don't think that anyone in here was belittling and not being accepting of opninions. However, if it everv turns heated or disrespectful, let me know or another mod know. That is when things get out of hand and it will be handled :)

Well, I thought yesterday's show was boring, and up until last week I was really enjoying DAYS. I said in the post about the latest ratings that the stories aren't bad per se, but they need to start really kicking into high gear. I don't mean nonstop action, but there has to be some plot movement, especially with Sami/Lucas/EJ/Kate and the on-the-run stuff.

I think JKJ is good as hardass, angry Philip, but a part of me thinks Kyle Brandt would have really shined here, like DFJ said. I guess it's because he had chemistry with Martha, Shawn, and especially Ava and Olivia, the twins who play Claire. I'm not seeing any real spark between JKJ and his castmates yet, save for John Aniston. I also think that Kyle would have looked better next to Annie Burgstrede, and if the show insists on keeping Willow Willblow (LOVE it Kenny) and possibly pairing her up with Philip, Kyle would have been the more suitable match.

It's really sad considering I have watched this show for 14 years and I am 23 so that's most of my life....but I think Hoagie is taking DAYS in a direction that just doesn't mesh very well with my tastes. I always thought I wanted a show with short arcs and traditional storylines, but now that these things are happening on DAYS, I am finding myself bored by the traditional things. Minus Tuesday, I haven't watched a full episode of the show in about three weeks. People seem to be liking the show so I am happy for it, but I don't know if I am going to stick with it much longer. I have felt like I wasn't going to stick it out before, but the majority of the DAYS fans hated it along with me so there was always hope for a writer change. But it's doing pretty good now, and like I said, I am happy for it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bored of my mind. It just doesn't seem like the show and I are a good fit anymore. Maybe if I didn't have to sit through the War in Iraq and JER's last year of crap, I've had more of a tolerance for sitting through it, but I just don't anymore.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
