Dang, Erica. Sorry, I love ya and all, but it seems you got it wrong this one time: Deidre so did not tell CJ to put that. And CJ would lose ALL respect that would be afforded for her if she, as a board administrator of Marlena.com, a PROFESSIONAL, spoke that way. You can't fight what you perceive to be "nasty" language with nasty language and not appear to be a hypocrite.

So, that's so wrong, and I feel for that pathetic FOOL who impersonated CJ.

Anyway, has anyone heard anything REAL from the "Days" cast since the unofficial cancellation statement by ZuckASS and ReillHOLE? Because other than that RUMOR that Sony was pissed, we've heard NOTHING. That's suspiciously shocking.

No, nobody impersonated CJ, because CJ posted the exact same thing on Deidre's official message board, word for word.

Only, when she posted the message on [!@#$%^&*]'s guesbook, she added that Deidre told her to post it. CJ wasn't impersonated -- CJ just lied about Deidre. No way in hell did Deidre tell her to post on a public forum that she considers [!@#$%^&*] to be a racist, lying pool of vomit. And if she truly felt that way, it would be sent via e-mail -- not for fodder on a public forum.

CJ has crossed the line. And personally, I think that Deidre should be informed that her name is being associated with such a hateful retort. I would ask the fan club president for contact information, only in this case, that's rather impossible. :)

You're KIDDING.

That's shocking.

THAT'S the real CJ?

HA. I'll say it.

HYPOCRITE!

HYPOCRITE!

HYPOCRITE!

HYPOCRITE!

Go back to study the works of Hippocrates, you HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that THAT's out of my system, maybe CJ posted all that HORSE CRAP that isn't true, but I agree, Dee did NOT say any of that. Although I DEFINITELY loathe her politics, she's classy, and just wouldn't do that.

Well, I didn't offer anything you wanted after all, Erica, lol. I would have thought someone in CJ's position would be FAR more professional than that. But Kenny has confirmed otherwise. Apparently, she would rather sink to the lowest of the low to comment on what she (personally) believes to be the lowest of the low. She has proven herself to be a HYPOCRITE.

What's ODD to me is that [!@#$%^&*] said DOOL is the best soap on daytime and that it shouldn't be canceled.

She's an angry fan who doesn't want her soap pulled, so why is Deidre Hall pissed at her for saying that?

As for [!@#$%^&*] being a "racist", the comments by [!@#$%^&*] about Michael Richards prove to me that she's not a

racist. Why would [!@#$%^&*] have compassion for a white guy who used the "N" word if she was a racist?

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, which I meant to do.

WHAT set off CJ to say such hateful, ignorant things when [!@#$%^&*] is PULLING for her soap? when [!@#$%^&*] is ADVOCATING its renewal? It makes no sense!

Although I have to agree that [!@#$%^&*]'s comments were out of line in some way. I mean, there's joking, there's being snarky, there's being passionate...but when does it become a REAL terrorist threat? lol. I mean, unlike any other passionate "Days" fan who says they'll sic the Taliban on NBC's ass, [!@#$%^&*] actually HAS a connection to Osama. It's kind of weird when you think of it that way. It's kind of...weird.

Many people tend to think that [!@#$%^&*] would take soaps from being stuck in the 50's to becoming a total new-age raunch fest... one extreme to the other. But something MUST be done to save the soaps. A risk is a risk, but I'll be damned if it's not worth taking.

On the Marlena/Dee board, everyone thinks she's a vile, crass woman who couldn't possibly write a woman as soft and demure as Marlena Evans. Also, keep in mind, the majority of them have no interest in the show outside of Marlena's orbit.

In the end, some people are just prudes and their ears burn the minute someone says a 'dirty word,' which [!@#$%^&*] has proven she's not afraid to do, LoL

I've read a few of [!@#$%^&*]'s books and I've read many of her own posts on another "soap" board, and

there's no way that she would take soaps to the extreme.

She seems to want soaps to retain a strong emotional family core but raise issues that are more modern

and deal with things like sex and race more realistically. The books I've read by her are traditional and

family oriented and she seems to thrive on emotion and tragedy. I imagine that a soap by her would be

more like an old melodrama like a Lana Turner movie with modern issues rather than the way people are

assuming. She seems to understand balance.

I think when she made her comments about having Osama blow up NBC she was pretty much making her point that she doesn't really have a connection to him . At least not anymore. When she did, it didn't sound to me that it was by choice. People seem to want to throw that connection in her face and I think she was throwing it back at them. Its unfair to me that she was forced to be his mistress and now that's something people use against her.

At the same time any talk of terrorism is pretty politically incorrect. Unfortunately it's talk like that, which will keep the networks from hiring her openly.

I agree with you.

I saw on another board where she ([!@#$%^&*]) wrote that she had them remove that comment, because she was

totally joking (Syracuse Adams said as much and laughed) but [!@#$%^&*] asked it be edited out because people will

insist that she means it.

I think it's pretty sad when people think this woman has that kind of power.

My guess is that she will become bigger and bigger as a novelist and down the road she will have more clout

to get into the soap world. As more soaps are canceled, the execs will feel the pressure to take chances.

    • I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
    • That's a bit murky since that happened during a writers' strike. Assuming Kristen Marie had a 2-year contract she left about when her contract would have expired and Sharlene and Josie showed up right before that. Lemay was officially credited as HW from September 1988 but it seems very probable that his anticipated tenure influenced events that happened during the strike which started in April.
    • I've seen so many posters over the years who are bright, creative, well-versed in soap history, and who care deeply about the integrity of the genre. I'd put the shows' chances in their hands a lot faster than I would allow any of the "usual suspects" to take control of the dramas they've already helped decimate. When I returned to university in the 1980s, I created a bible for a new soap and presented it in my screenwriting class. It was in reaction to how badly I saw the network shows being butchered at the time. The creative process was thrilling; a total joy, and I still smile when I remember the positive feedback I received from the professor and my fellow students. I was used to seeing written commentary from professors on my work. This one wrote me a long, complimentary note on the final page of the bible, but also graded it 97%, A+. I was beaming ear to ear for days!

    • Thanks. I do wonder if Rose was meant to be more given the caliber of actress they hired. I remembered Sara and Peggy staying longer as they were still on when Soapnet started their repeats. I wonder if that was part of the reason they brought Jake's brother in.
    • Speculation about Missy Reeves' potential evolution on basic civil rights doesn’t change my opinion of her. My view is shaped entirely by her public social media presence—which I find unpalatable—and I have no interest in learning more beyond that. I simply liked Jennifer’s hair and dress. That’s as far as my admiration goes.

    • Cheryl was gone before Lemay came back but I agree with your thinking that he would rather a character from a family he introduced to the show than a family he did not originate.  I remember reading somewhere in the early 90's probably after DS left as writer, their was an either a writer or a producer who made a comment that their intent was bring the McKinnon family back to AW.  Would have made sense for the newer viewers from the 80's.  Much like Lemay's attempt to bring the Frames back from his writing in the 70's in his 1988 return
    • DePriest left in January 1988. According to the AWHP, Rose last appeared nearly a year before in February 1987 while both Sara and Peggy appeared as late as October 1987.
    • Annie was not brought in as an antagonist for Reva. Reva wasn’t even on the canvas when Annie first appeared in late 1994.
    • The speculation……….very entertaining.
    • I had forgotten that several Days stars came out strong against Melissa. Good for them!
