Members DaysFanJean
Brandon was the right choice. America got that one right and even had Sanjaya second to last. Hopefully he will be last next time. Interesting how the bottom three were all guys. I thought Phil was better than Chris S., but it was his best performance ever so guess that is why he was in the lest favs instead. I thought the Ford commercial was neat. Weird, but they seemed to be having fun.
Members PhoenixRising05
No surprise. I liked Brandon but he was boring. He started so well but fizzled. Good that Sanjaya was in the bottom. He better go next week. I honestly thought he would go tonight when they were running low on time since I figured they wouldn't want him to sing. America did get it right for the most part. The guys are royally screwed in this competition. Three guys in the bottom makes it obvious. The girls are going to dominate. Diana sounded off tonight. Liked the group song but I hated how they had no time left for Brandon to sing. Anyone know what next week's theme is?
Members KMan101
Not sure about next week's theme. I thought they always announced it but they didn't. I totally felt that Brandon was going home. He sounded alright, but a) he went first and he forgot his words. I was very happy for Haley going through! Yay! Sanjaya, Phil and Brandon in the bottom three was right on the money. Those are the first three guys I see getting eliminated. Stephanie will be our "surprise" boot. And Sanjaya in the bottom two is proof that DialIdol is only so accurate. Usually they give us a decent IDEA and sometimes do hit it in who will go .... but not always. Members SteveFrame
I thought that America got it right to a certain point. The only thing I hate about Idol is that so many times people vote for their favorites and don't base it on performance. I always forget his name but that guy with the curly hair should have been in the bottom 3 based on performance. He totally butchered Endless Love and should have not been rewarded with safety just because some of his other performances have been good. And Sanjaya was the worse performance Tuesday night. Even with Haley and Brandon forgetting words their vocal performances were tons better. Idol would be a whole lot better if America would remember it is a singing competition and not a popularity contest.
Members King
He kinda sucked. I love Sanjaya hanging on. LOL! Oh, America!!! So stupid. I am sure Sanjaya will go a lot further than we all think.
Members DaysnPassionsFan
They are now selling studio versions of the full songs the Top 12 sang this week at AmericanIdol.com!
Members David_Vickers
Melinda, Lakisha, Blake, Jordin were the best, with Stephanie and Chris R next, then Gina. Haley was absolutely horrible and she should've been in the bottom 2 and I wished she went home. She's copying Katharine McPhee's look. Simon pissed me off by saying she did good, when she was even worse than pitiful Sanjaya this week IMHO. Glad Sanjaya was in the bottom 2, I bet he may just go next week. Members David_Vickers
Dial Idol has proven it's not accurate. IMHO, R!ck, might as well stop making predictions based on Dial Idol, which is not accurate. Go ahead and post 'em though because it's interesting when comparing to the real results. Members King
Stephanie is my favorite of the divas.
Members R!ck
I read somewhere that block voting was being filtered out this season, whatever that means? I don't think DI has ever had someone at #3 and they ended up in the B3? They have lost major points with last weeks predictions. Probably not going to get very accurate results until Top 8, if then? Members KMan101
Dial Idol can't be considered gospel. It sometimes gets it right, but it's only a basis for those USING Dial Idol, more or less. It can't factor in text votes (which imo are a waste but are money to Idol and AT&T) and other callers that don't use Dial Idol. Check the archives. It does get it right more or less, but not always, which makes it kind of fun, actually.
Members Target Demo
You can buy a full studio recorded version of any song from this past week going forward for 99c at The Idol Website and you can also buy video of that night's performance for slightly more. I'm completely captivated by Melinda Doolittle. She's just ... very special. I always find myself looking forward in anticipation - with none of the hope-they-don't-f-up anxiety that comes with the rest of the crop (except LaKisha.) It's a great feeling. Next episode is British Invasion week. Should be something for everyone to choose from in that theme.
Members DaysFanJean
Thanks for the info and especially the theme for the next idol showcase. I love Melinda, too, but LaKisha as well and Jordin is doing very nicely and if she keeps improving, I'll join Simon in believing there could be a three way end already. Members KMan101
Haley Very good! I was very surprised ... pleasantly! I love her. I'm totally rooting for her. She's the underdog, IMO. I pray she doesn't go this week. PLEASE, for the love of all that is good and right in the world. Chris Richardson Meh ... I thought he did alright but he's overrated. His voice just isn't the greatest. Again ... meh. I mean, was it me? He stunk! I couldn't even understand some of the words! Are the judges *all* HIGH? He could sing the phone book and the teen girls will vote him through. Stephanie I thought she did well but it just ... it didn't gel. Nadia Turner from Season 4 did outstanding with this song. I thought it was lacking something. Stephanie can do better. The audience seemed to love her though. Blake Wow. I was prepared not to like it, he sounded awful without music behind but DAMN. He totally impressed me! Wow. Wow. Wow. WOW. LaKisha She was good, but it wasn't Lakisha. Sigh. She started off ... not the greatest but ended very well. She should of chose the other song though. Phil I think he needed that performance. He was pitchy and kind of seemed to lose his rhythm towards the middle and mumbled, but overall, it was a good performance and the song suited him. Simon did have a point. Jordin Damn. That girl is awesome. Awesome. Jordin for the win, IMO. She nailed it tonight. Sanjaya Please, for the love of god voters, GET RID OF HIM. Please! PLEASE! I mean, at least he tried. It wasn't as awful as past performances but he does not deserve to go on the tour. All he did was shout and make it seem like rock. Ew. But THANK GOD for Simon (about the crying girl). I love Simon. But that was kind of sweet. Aw. I think Sanjaya just bought himself another week. Gina I expected better. Not horrible, but not her best. She can do better. Chris Holy crap! I was SO surprised. Wow. He did awesome. Hands down one of the best tonight! SO impressed. He brought it HOME. Melinda Wow. I'm speechless. AMAZING. Who's going? I think Stephanie might be in the bottom three. Chris Richardson was totally forgettable. Phil could also be in danger. He was Middle of the road to me. I worry Haley might go, considering she was first. I always feel kind of bad for those who go first, and remember, Brandon went first last week and honestly ... he wasn't that bad. Actually, I totally forgot Stephanie, Phil and Chris R by the end of the show. I think we'll get a "surprise" elimination of one of them and my bet is on Phil. Members KMan101
DialIdol quick update ... Gina, Chris R and Stephanie are all low, which doesn't surprise me. Again, IMO, we'll get a "shocker" elimination (even though it's not really a shocker cause lets face it, we're stuck with Sanjaya, he's this seasons Kellie Pickler).
