Randy Jackson can kiss my A S S!!!!!!!!!!!!! He only loves African-American women singers DOG. I think Randy needs to be fired. He was absolutely horrible this year IMHO. Jordin F'ing Sparks version better than Martina McBride's??!??!?!? What a load of S H IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Martina can outsing that little teeny bopper a trillion to one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly!

NOPE Ron, Sorry, I give all 3 rounds to Blake. Jordin almost had the 3rd round, but her acting like she was gonna cry pissed me off (it was just acting, I notice no tears). I don't buy the innocent act Jordin, you can stop it honey. I also think she chose a country song as her 1st song to get country fans' votes. Very calculated.

Blake did a very good job on the Maroon 5 song and pretty good on that horrible original last song. He's a helluva better performer than stand still Freaking Jordin Sparks. Teen boppers are voting for Jordin since she's the teen JER Soaps Fan!!!!!! Jordin's dream deserves to be ruined. She, not Blake, is the simpleton and moron and needs to get off the freaking stage and get her some more singing lessons!!

Why not???!! The F'ing song wasn't Blake's choice. They're made to sing that lousy lame song!

Exactly winterguy! Word up on Melinda being 500 times the better singer.

Agreed. Simon can kiss my arse too.

And that's why we should make sure that Blake wins to shock the hell out of 'em for a 2nd week in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm voting as many times as I can tonight for Blake.

If Jordin wins, then GOODBYE AMERICAN IDOL.

First, Paula looked a HOT, HOT mess tonight. The hair... what is up with the hair?! And what the hell was Randy wearing? What an embarassment! LoL

I didn't like any of Blake's songs. He's good at owning the stage and getting reactions from the audience, but his beat boxing is the only thing that saves him. His singing vocals are sorely lacking. He doesn't have much range at all, and he doesn't even try to push himself to hit the tough notes. He always takes the safe route, vocally.

Meanwhile, can you believe that they gave Blake a "get out of jail free" card on completely destroying the final song just because it's not his "type" of song? How many times over the entire past season were people voted out due to not meshing vocally with the different genres tossed at them each week? Blake should be held to the same standards as all the rest of them, and the fact that he wasn't tells me that they're pandering to him... they're making excuses for him. Bottom line, he doesn't have the vocals or he would've been able to sing the song. He couldn't, and so he doesn't, which means he shouldn't win.

Jordin... oh, Jordin! I love her. The first song -- "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera -- was a little shaky. I was worried it would end up sounding horrible because it's a difficult to sing and nobody sounds as good as Christina Aguilera (or Mariah/Whitney/Celine), but it actually didn't sound bad! It wasn't spectacular, but it was far from terrible.

The second song -- "Broken Wing" by Martina McBride -- was sung beautifully. It sounded even better this time than it did when she sang it the first time during country week. The finale to that song was W-o-W! I agree with whichever judge said that it was even better than the original version, and that's saying quite alot since Martina McBride is, like, the best vocalist in country music.

Then came the last song. From the moment she began singing it, it was ten times better than Blake's version. The beginning was shaky, but even with that, it was better than Blake's vocal. Then when she hit the middle of the song, it was a home run. There was no mistake whatsoever who sang it better when she hit the stride of the song, and from there it just got better with the final few notes. She even managed to sound spectacular while crying! She completely blew Blake out of the water, IMO! Just as I knew she would...

Bottom line, as the judges said, this is a singing competition. It's funny to me when everyone says that Blake should win because he has stage presence (ie. he's sooo sexy), even though he has a lack of vocals. If the winner was to be based on just stage presence, they should also allow people to compete for dancing -- or better yet, allow professional magicians to participate!

At the end of the day, this is a singing competition, and Jordin has the vocals, whereas Blake does not. She threw sh!t down tonight! Blake couldn't hold a candle compared to her, and I think he knew it, especially during the last song. I think he had a look of desperation in his eyes, and I loved it! Jordin blew him out of the water!

TEAM JORDIN! :P

    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
    • Add Dr. Montgomery to list of fine women on this show! I hope the show goes forward with Madison/Chelsea and then once they're developed, bring back Allison, who is now divorced or a widow, for a Madison/Chelsea/Allison triangle.  It would definitely be the hottest triangle in daytime.
