September 14, 200718 yr Member Hasnt Renee written for Days before? I think I remember seeing her name. Yep, and isn't she a JER protege? LOL! Ugh......Leslie Nipkow?...another OLTL reject!!! Nipkow was actually one of the bright spots on OLTL's writing team....
September 14, 200718 yr Author Administrator Yep, and isn't she a JER protege? LOL! She worked her way up at DAYS. I'm surprised Hogan brought her back though. And no, she's not a JER protege. LOL If anyone is JER's protege, it's me. Nipkow was actually one of the bright spots on OLTL's writing team.... Damn righit. Ron letting her go was a big mistake. Hopefully she does well at ATWT. I mean it's exactly the most stable place. LOL
September 14, 200718 yr Author Administrator When will we hear Jean Passanante was fired? No. She has a lifetime contract.

September 14, 200718 yr Member When will we hear Jean Passanante was fired? Speaking of JP, I heard a rumor today that because of the show's falling ratings (though they did get a tiny bump because of the gay storyline last week — we'll see if it lasts), she's been largely stripped of her duties and is HW in name only until they find a new one. The story is that EP Goutman is in charge of the writing these days (particuarly the Noah/Luke plot which apparently was his idea). But it's just a rumor, I dunno if there's any truth to it. I must say that overall, the show was more interesting than it has been in awhile and the show pulled out all the stops on Friday (Gwen's losing her baby!, Dusty wakes up next to a dead body! and Paul and Ro return! — just one cliffhanger would be enough for most shows). I wouldn't be watching if it weren't for Noah/Luke, but on the two days they weren't on, I was mildly entertained. —Anthony D. Langford
September 14, 200718 yr Member I KNEW Leslie was going to ATWT. I had a feeling. I think I may have said it before. Good for her!!
September 14, 200718 yr Member Yes, I think Kay Alden, now that I recall, mentioned a similar number of scenes. Ryan's Hope had a five-act structure and so did B&B (didn't count them recently). Y&R under Bill was an eight act show with 25 scenes. And when Claire wrote GH, the soap had about 18 scenes, sometimes less, sometimes more, but that was the average. Yeah, GH has an incredibly quick prologue. I doubt if most of the scenes in it are even a full page, so that helps. It's not like they're shooting 35 scenes that are four and five pages. What about AMC? On average, 20-22 scenes. Although the January 5th episode under McTavish was 30, a month later it was 21. And under B&E, it's 20-22 as well. That's not surprising about B&E, since the show is so boring and drawn out.
September 15, 200718 yr Member (Cam)Ron, wherever the hell you are, you are VERY lucky to have Leslie Nipkow. Edited September 15, 200718 yr by V
September 15, 200718 yr Member Toups, let me spit to you for a minute. I was just thinking, with Anna Cascio coming back to OLTL as a BDW, does that mean someone could be leaving, or is she just an additon?
September 15, 200718 yr Member Not happened in credits yet: - ATWT: Christopher Whitesell OUT - ATWT: Anna Theresa Cascio OUT - ATWT: Judy Tate OUT - ATWT: Jeanne Marie Ford OUT - ATWT: Leslie Nipkow IN I think it's hilarious how they're firing and hiring everyone on that writing team and Passanante is safe.
