Well, I'm a normal, intelligent doctor (PhD), and a grown woman old enough (barely) to have a college-aged daughter and I'm a FREAKIN' CLAY AIKEN FAN ;)

Wow. I had no idea. Didn't mean to offend. I just don't see Kayla, as portrayed by Mary Beth Evans, as a 'Claymate.' Maybe it's possible, though. Then again, her maturity is probably stunted because she hadn't had sex or fallen in love really since Steve left. It's been over a decade, right? Perhaps that played into it.

Well, I wasn't offended before! LOL Sorry, but I don't think being a Clay Aiken fan is any indication of stunted maturity or lack of sex. Sheesh.

I agree, GBB. I'm a 72 year old grandmother and adore Clay Akin, oh and although not a medical doctor, I have a great background, too.

FSJ, I always love your posts. You can make a person laugh and totally see things in a fresh light.

Well it's not like she is an obsessed fan or anything. She only said she liked him. She didn't come off like a "Claymate." She wasn't jumping up and down. She was happy but not giddy like a schoolgirl  .

I am not a big Clay fan but I can tolerate him. My advice to people who have said they don't like seeing him on is to mute him or just don't watch his scenes (if you want to miss Steve/Kayla which I know I don't  ). I wouldn't want to miss Days' Christmas just because a singer I don't like appears in a few scenes. Any other episode I would say just don't watch the episode, which I would never do but I digress, but given how Days' Christmas is a tradition and pretty much the best Christmas you will find on daytime IMO I wouldn't think fans would want to miss that.
