Hmmm....what to say about today's One Life to Live?

Well, today's show was not bad, but it did feature too many of the unmentionables. But at least there was no John or Natalie today.

I did like the Blair/Todd/Starr stuff though. Otherwise, today was just blah.

I actually enjoyed the Todd/Starr/Blair scenes today, even though I totally detest this NuMarty. I despise that she was telling Michael that he shouldn't be operating on Spencer, and even worse was yesterday when she was telling Starr that Todd hadn't paid for what he did to her, thus having Starr apologizing to her. UGH. I hated that with a passion.

Don't ask me why but I'm liking this Nash/Jess/Tonio storyline. Yes, its weird but I'm liking it none the less. LOL.

I'm wondering though, Where the heck is Viki?

Yep... I still feel the same way about Curtis and Isaiah as I did yesterday but I did like the showdown today. The gloves really came off lol despite the flaws, putting the four of them into a messy quad was the right decision.
Speaking of quads, I also really liked the nerdiness of Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai 😂😂
And, I'm also kinda ready for a Lucas/Joe Red White & Royal Blue-like situation. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens 😊😊😊

And it would seem to me like they're being very selective about perceived stereotypical black behaviors. They don't want black male/female gangsters but seem perfectly fine with black male adulterers back to back served up with skeevy flashbacks/explanations for their behavior. Nicole doing whatever in God's name she's doing and not looking very clean doing it. Dani, instead of maintaining self-respect, kisses her cheating ex-husband three times (and likely counting) and is playing in the face of her current husband. Detective Malone is supposed to be a cop but is also a paid killer once he smells the right amount of money, and of course there's Leslie and her ghetto EVERYTHING! Like I said, the NAACP must be absurdly selective.

Oh that was a sure sign they're going to pair Lucas and Joe, right?? That scene with Joe walking Lucas into the hospital and Lucas's painful laughing... I do think Joe needs to lighten up though, he's playing it too stiff, but I'm guessing he's got some big mystery/secret.
Gosh I loved that last scene with Lulu and Tracy! They have great chemistry as acting partners.
Definitely think they're going for a Nina/Brennan pairing...
Cassius is making a big mistake... that'll bite him in the butt.

Well I think the other issue that some people say the mafia references are outdated because in real life the mafia has supposedly lost more of it's power. I'm unsure if it's true or not because I wasn't born in the big city and I'm not a criminal.
My question is: how does a soap opera integrate the ideas of corruption or at least an uneasy alliance between politicians and criminals? Especially white collar ones?

B&B: June 2026 Discussion Thread

I doubt it's intentional but, but at the moment Katie & Bill split both the Stephanie & Sally functions from the early years of the show. Katie is like Stephanie for the reasons you've laid out. Plus, as mentioned by others she's Brooke's best sparing partner, capable of going for the jugular. But she's also like Sally as she came from humble beginnings, and craves external validation from the queen bee.
Bill is more outwardly like Sally as he is main Forrester antagonist who anchors the secondary setting, is flashy, and has bawdy sense of humor. Like Stephanie he runs on pure ego, has fraught relationships with his offspring because of his controlling nature, and counts tangling with psychopaths as one of his favorite hobbies.
