Days: Hope

There has been a lot of Hope bashing on here lately, and I was wondering if anyone else has a different opinion like myself. While I hate Hope's behavior lately, I think this is just the actions of a grieving mother. I don't think she has gotten over losing Zach. Because she is miserable, she wants Bo and everyone else to be miserable also. She stills blames Bo for Zach's accident, and just can't seem to get past that yet. Personally, every scene of Hope's lately just makes me feel pity for her. Now whether this is the current writers' intentions or not; we will find out soon i'm sure. I just think everyone's being too hard on her, and need to think how they might react if they lost a young child. I'm not saying she is right, but her lack of clearness right now is understandable.

I think it could be that. I do not think the psychology of her grief has enough of a presence (not to any satisfactory depth anyway) in the storyline though, which is to say they are not showing it. And I always say a show has to show things for a viewer to be fairly expected to see it that way. If it is their intention they're dropping the ball with it, they're not representing all the emotions proportionately for the intended desired effect. If this were real life I would not rag on Hope, but I am having issues with the total lack of balance in presenting her state of mind on the screen.

Just speculation but I think Hope and Bo are just pretending to be on the outs with each other so that they can catch whoever killed Eve. Same deal with Shawn and Willow.

All 3 of them are just acting too strangely and given how Hogie likes twists, I think that's why Hope has acted the way that she has lately.

If the past couple of days with Hope/Shawn in particular aren't part of a twist, then I would think that Hope's behavior to Bo over the past couple of days was over the top. But I think that's been the point with all of these scenes....

I know Hope is in pain, but I want Bo tell her enough already. She's being a little [!@#$%^&*] these days. Poor Ol Hottie Bo, she never believes him about anything.

I hate what Hope is doing but I am not as livid about it as others. I know she is still hurting and it is hard for her to trust again after the Zack stuff. Let's remember too she has been dealing the Bo/Billie issue several times so I do think she is feeling like she is fighting Chelsea for Bo's love and that she feels she has to battle for her family to have Bo. I just get the feeling Hope is lost because of everything that has happened and she has never dealt with the blow she faced earlier this year. A child dying as a drastic effect on a person and while her treatment of Bo is over the top, it is understandable in many cases based on the fact that Bo/Billie has been a recurring issue over the years and their daughter killed their son and has tried to break them up repeatedly.

I would like Bo to bring up when Hope lied about Zack's (at the time it was JT's but whatever) paternity even though he ended up being the father. Bo was livid at first but he forgave her and never tore her apart for months like Hope has. Now I know this is a bigger issue but they basically were getting over that and had forgiven each other and now today they get more trouble.

There have been signs of the "old" Hope so hopefully we are close to the return of that Hope.

Oh, and good theory ademption. If that is the case, I will LOVE it but I am not sure if that is something Hogan is doing. It reminds me a bit of B&C"s big sweeps story a few years ago when half of Salem planned a secret plot to lure out Larry and save Hope. That is one of my faves so if this happens I will love it.
