Desperate Housewives: Discussion Thread

I am getting the feeling that ALL housewives will end up ALONE at the end. Mike is dead. Bree is single, and in hot water. We all know Carlos did it, so he may end up revealing the truth and end up in prison. And Tom may actually go ahead with this new life with Jane.

Then all 4 main women will be alone, but they will still have each other. Why else kill off Mike for no reason and have Tom & Lynette sign divorce papers when only 4 episodes remain??? ohmy.png

I don't know. That is just a theory I have.

Thats an interesting thought but I think it would be a bit depressing if none of them end up happy. I kinda think Tom will go back to Lynette I hope Carlos doesnt go to jail but he needs to go over Bree. For her to go down for his crime is awful

Renee "Are you color blind? You do know Im black right?" laugh.png

Katherine! Forgot about her and wasnt expecting her to return

Overall great finale. I love how it all ended and I liked the woman's resolutions.

I especially liked the final ouch of Susan driving around the lane and seeing the various people who died over the years. No Edie though! I was hoping they'd cast some Nicollette lookalike...lol

Love the final scene with it all ending on a cliffhanger. Thats so DH like and very true to the show

Why? She seemed like the most obvious choice to die. The woman has been on death's door for the last several episodes and it was fitting that she died just as a baby was being born. It brought things full circle

I loved the part with Susan driving around the neighborhood once more and seeing the ghosts of Wisteria Lane. Very touching and fit the show a lot.

When was the last time we saw Bree's kids? I need to know that they got happy endings somewhere along the way, because I was expecting at least a mention of Danielle and Andrew tonight but got nothing. I was glad to see Julie, though.

I loved the finale. Wish Edie was there.

I hated that they implied the girls didn't stay friends....They pretty much acted like they never talked again.

And no mention of what Renee did.

Didn't need to know who lived in Susan's house.

LOVED susan driving around.

Good finale over all.

Thank you. I didn't realize there was confusion. You cleared it up.  It is more than crazy that this whole conversation is off-topic.
    • Sure!  And we promise, Mr Corday -- we will ridicule those wonderful old episodes daily on social media.   NOT!
    • "To give her child a name" just means to make the child legitimate and be able to take the father's surname.
    • I would say, Denise was the ONLY good thing about that insultingly ridiculous plot.  But all this took place near the end of Another World's "let's play everything for laughs" era.  Thank God that nonsense ended around 1988.
    • We could take an OATH: We swear we will hate these episodes!
    • Will I miss anything pertinent fast forwarding? I love that Kristina is so aghast someone could think she’s crazy after she just tried to kill someone. She’s basically saying my mom doesn’t know the full extent of my crazy, how dare she! It’s laughable. I genuinely don’t know what the show wants us to think of Kristina at this point,
    • Oh yes, that would be grand!  But Ken Corday will never allow that.  No executive-producer wants to hear people rave about how good his show "used to be".    Thank you for sharing that information.  I barely remember that plot, but it was so significant in DOOL's history.  Ramifications went on for years and years.
    • Not just that but Im sure she will be blamed for trying to poison Laura with potassium. Remember when Nicole started to put the pieces together that someone may have tampered with her IV? She dropped it bc she got distracted with the party, but they did make a note to mention that Eva lied and sent a card and flowers there on Nicole's behalf. Im sure they will say that that was just a cover for her to be in Laura's room and come for her
    • Susan named her son after her father, Richard, and they called him Dickie, for short. David had bought Dickie a play swing but it was too big for him. One day, while David was babysitting, he put Dickie in the swing, took his eyes off of him for a few seconds and he fell out of the swing, hit his head and died. Susan was so devastated that she shot and killed David only like a few episodes later.
    • Mickey Horton got her off, temporary insanity. Edit to add: If only Peacock would air this storyline.  Edit to add: David was supposed to be watching the child. Wasn't. Child fell out of swing, broke his neck. The show had the camera focus on that empty swing, just barely moving ...
