October 3, 200619 yr Member I thought today was really good. I'm so glad they finally made Olivia and Ava mother and daughter. GH has a similar story going and so far GL is doing a much better job, imo. Crystal Chapelle is really selling this story for me. I felt bad for Tammy today, but I'm glad she at least made an effort to go on with her life and not put it on hold for Jon. Not that I expect it to last, but it's just the principal of the matter. Cash were cute today, but I could believe neither of them looked at the computer screen once the results were up. That was a bit much. It's like they both were looking at the cieling to avoid looking at the computer screen.
October 3, 200619 yr Member This was another "Michelle Ray Smith has improved" day. Some of her mannerisms were abit much, but she did really well. Smith may be next year's Mandy Bruno.(ETA: Now that I think about it, not so much. Supporting Actress is a tough category to break into, not only in the pre-nom stage, but in the actual Emmy Race. Smith doesn't stand a chance.)
October 3, 200619 yr Member What happened with Tammy? I'm getting sick of this triangle and Reva's "cancer". I'll believe she's sick once she drops dead.
October 3, 200619 yr Member I agree, Steph. I thought cancer patients that don't have long to live were frail and timid. Reva's flying to Vegas to marry her brother-in-law.
October 3, 200619 yr Author Member Tammy and Jon were kissing on the roof and Alan caught them and snapped a picture. Tammy and Jon tried to play it off like Tammy was just trying to prove to herself that she didn't need Jon. When Jon was yelling at her (for affect) he said something like "Hot girls come and go, but my wife and baby are forever". It just struck a cord with Tammy and made her see that her and Jon's lives really will always be about the baby. She understood they are kind of trap in a world of lies. You could tell she was crying for real and not just to fake Alan out. Then later on Jon did want to get to her, but Alan was in the way again and Tammy went off with Remy and said she wasn't putting her life on hold for any man.
October 3, 200619 yr Member I'm so happy to see a GL thread around here again! Over and over again, I've been saying how much I want MRS gone but today, she impressed me yet again. The only other time she impressed me was when Ava confronted Sandy at the hospital and we didn't know yet that she was his wife. I've always hated Ava's holier-than-thou attitude but I actually felt bad for her today and thought she had every right to [!@#$%^&*] at Olivia for all the horrible things she's done to her. And then Ava went on to say how Olivia doesn't deserve to be anyone's mother...that line was classic irony. I second Jonathan's question: Does Alan have a life? Tammy surprised me when Jonathan was pretending to insult her. I thought she'd play along (which she did for awhile) but instead, she was extremely hurt because she realized that what he was saying could be true. I'm glad she's had an eye-opener, though and has decided that putting her life on hold for any man isn't worth it. I'm ecstatic that Jonathan is resorting back to his JB persona day by day. I was getting so sick of podJonathan. It's about time he realized that he can't have his cake and eat it, too. Hopefully, seeing Jonathan freak out like he did today will be a wakeup call for Lizzie as well. For so long, Jonathan has been decent and even friendly to her that I think she's forgotten how psychotic he can be. It's absolutely ridiculous that Josh & Cassie still don't know that Reva has cancer. BTW, did I miss an episode? How did Cassie get her house back?? Reva is terminally ill yet she has the strength to fly to Vegas and get hitched? Umm...right. The fact that she doesn't even look remotely sick makes me not care whenever she says how much she's sacrificing or feeling like she doesn't have enough strength to argue with anyone or whatever.
October 3, 200619 yr Member Not all cancer paitents are "frail and timid". I guess the lack of knowledge about cancer is why so many people are not interested in this story, which I find fascinating, having lost my mother, two brothers, grandfather, etc, to cancer. Some of them were frail and timid, but in the case of my brother..he looked the same from when he was told he had 6 months to live until he died 8 months later. It all depends on your body, your mind and where your cancer is.
October 4, 200619 yr Author Member Today was really uninspiring for me. I was a little disappoined that Reva and Billy didn't tie the know. Cash were cute, but mostly this was a boring episode.

Tuesday's episode has officially cured my insomnia. And that is the most underwhelming portrayal of Vegas I've ever seen on a TV show. I understand GL is a show strapped for cash, but I would have loved for the show to do something creative. A fictionalized Tunica, MS or Shreveport, LA would have set this crappy casino set in some sort of reality. But, obviously these places are not well-known and not places that someone from IL would visit for a quickie wedding. UGH. I hate that they spend like one pointless episode a month on the Boudreaux/Bauer mix. And the actors play Leah and Remy obviously missed the boat with UPN. That would have been a great network for them to display their lack of acting ability and comedic timing. And I am sick of Kim Zimmer and Reva. It may have hurt the show's ratings, but I really wished they would have called her bluff and killed that [!@#$%^&*], Reva, off.
October 4, 200619 yr Member Well Harley's ITL was boring, but had some good one liners. Gus- She's Hungry. Why don't u breast feed her. Harley- You know they're not a faucet that u can just turn on and off. Although I was so caught of guard in the previews when Reva was holding a bag of chronic and Jonathan was like "Pot?" and Reva was like "No, Medical Marijuana". Reva and Jonathan getting blazed together is going to be so hilarious!!

Some of them were frail and timid, but in the case of my brother..he looked the same from when he was told he had 6 months to live until he died 8 months later. It all depends on your body, your mind and where your cancer is. Those are way too many lines to fill although I see what you're saying. I met a lady once who was walking around with a cane. I then found out that she had cancer and from what I can remember, I'm pretty sure it was really bad. I was shocked, though because from the way she acted, I figured she must have only broken a leg or something. I just didn't think she could be that sick. I think my problem with Reva's story is that it's gone from being about her cancer to being about a love triangle. There should have been a balance. They've sacrificed the health story (if she really is "one" of those cancer patients, they should have her at least notice the fact that she doesn't seem that sick and acknolwedge it or have her go further into denial..if her not looking sick is intentional to begin with, that is) for the scandalous romance. Since this story has made me a total Reva hater, I could care less (well, not quite..I'm annoyed is more like it) that's she's still in love with Josh and crying over the fact he's moved on when she couldn't push her ego aside to tell him and Cassie the truth. Now, back to Tuesday's eppie...Josh & Cassie are hot but their scenes were ruined when Reva & Billy's scenes were juxtoposed to them. I do NOT want a Josh/Reva reunion. I should have also known that it wouldn't take me long to hate the Billy/Reva relationship again. Yeah, Reva didn't force Billy to propose to her nor did she pretend that she was head over heels in love with him but for her to go on and on about how she wants to spend the rest of her life with him (Billy) and about how she can always count on him just got me thinking..Should that be exactly how she feels about Josh??? Except she couldn't count on him to know about her cancer and deal with it like Billy has. That totally wrecks the whole "Josh & Reva are soulmates" theory for me while proving even more that Reva & Billy are like a Scarlett O'Hara & Rhett Butler that I never wanna see happen. Gus & Harley's ITL - To watch or not to watch...I just don't see the appeal of this couple but some of their ITLs have actually captured my interest so I'll see.
October 5, 200619 yr Member I have no idea what time GL airs in some places, but here we get GL at 10am and I decided to tune in. I've watched GL maybe 3 times at the most...but today's episode actually interested me. Reva smoking the Mary Jane made my mouth drop. I don't think I've ever seen a soap character actually smoke onscreen like that. The scenes between her and Jonathan were actually pretty funny...the grown son (thank god) rolling the joint for his mother! In addition, the dinner with Alan, Beth and Lizzie had a recipe for comedy. When Alan asked Reva about the smell and Lizzie said she smelled fabric softener, I fell out. In other news... I don't even watch the show...but Josh and Cassie don't seem right to me. Even as a very causal I know Reva and Josh are soulmates or something like that. What's up with Rick and Beth, did they have an affair and Mel found out about it...and took him back? Also, I think Remy's cute and all...but Tammy? Come on...she's still hung up on Jonathan (and I'm still skeptical of TP's acting, he reminds me of Forbes March---not a good thing).

What's up with Rick and Beth, did they have an affair and Mel found out about it...and took him back? Eh, still didn't find the pot informative... just plain dumb, like an entertaining plot point to cover up the fact that Reva still hasn't told Josh. I liked the dinner though, lol. Rick's been cheating on Mel with Beth, and Tuesday she just found a hotel key in his pocket (Rick and Beth would hook up at hotel rooms) so she doesn't know yet. The deal with Rick and Mel is that they hit a rough patch in their marriage, and when Mel would brush him off... Rick would take up with his ol' friend Beth. This eventually lead to them having an affair. Then Mel decided to concede to Rick (who while still having an affair, was trying to convince Mel to take him back,) and they started to reconnect again. In the mist of the affair though, Jonathan found out and is blackmailing Beth to get Alan off his and Lizzie's back. If I'm mistaken, he has pictures too. I think Mel finds out next week.
October 5, 200619 yr Member I wish I was there with Reva and Jonathan getting blazed......sniff sniff. Reva was really tokin on that joint like a pro!!!!!! Aww Alan don't be jealous u know u want some!!!! Heck Jonathan will even roll it for you. Haha
October 5, 200619 yr Author Member So how was the Gush ITL? was it worth watching. I'm a couple of days behind. I think that Gush has been on the backburner lately. I kind of hope it stays that way a couple of more months.
