I agree Rick and from the sound of the article it won't be for long. It just seems like Steve reaching out to someone he feel comfortable with and someone who never knew him before his amnesia (or did she ). I think it makes sense and we already know from Fall spoilers Steve/Kayla has big story coming up so this may be nothing but a step on the way to them reuniting for good.

Well, here we go. I'm not sure I like this. I love Pinson, and I love the idea of giving her a new love interest.

My problem is I'm a 25 year fan, and I love Steve and Kayla. As long as he has amnesia, I guess all is fair. Once he remembers, he better want Kayla.

I'm a "general fan", and I don't have favorite couples or anything. I just think in order to be true to history, we have to portray things through the light of what has already happened. Steve and Kayla were WOW in love, and if he remembers that, or when he remembers that, it will change everything. If it doesn't, the show is missing the point.

IA, once he gets his memory the romance must be rekindled. But for now I don't see this as being forced, it's happening naturally and I think it's nice. Pinson and Nichols definitely have chemistry. Also I don't think it would be possible to just have Steve back and hanging over Kayla. There has to be conflict plus Patch is a very charismatic character and him just being clamped down without knowing Kayla (even though he's Nick) would seem very weird.

I don't mind this at all because I never wanted Steve and Kayla to get back together too soon.
