am i the only one?

i think SPIKE is a total cartoon character, and one of the worst villains i've ever seen on daytime. i've seen posts calling him amazing and awesome, and i'm completely dumbstruck by those comments.

honestly, i don't find it believable for one minute that anyone would be afraid of this guy's words, t houghts, or deeds.

he's TERRIBLE.

Well, Spike's not in the league of Stefano Dimera, James Stenbeck, or Roger Thorpe, but I still like the low life scum. Chris Maleki is the second best actor on the show next to Ben Masters, that's one of the reason why I find Spike watchable. Also, Chris injects humour in the role, another reason why I like Spike. Spike may be a 'cartoon' but it's the great acting that makes him watchable.

Wow, I completely disagree. Yeah, Stefano could have one of his idiotic goons shoot you and Alistair could do the same, but Spike, to me, IS TERRIFYING because he will ROUGH YOU UP! And with Chris Malecki's BRILLIANT acting you really believe in real life you'd be scared of him and report MALECKI to authorities just for a menacing look! He's absolutely TERRIFYING!! :(

Spike is not supposed to be a supervillian. He is a slimy, low life, scumbag and Maleki does a great job giving him layers. The scene in Rome with him and Jessica when she was holding him at gunpoint was the turning point for me. Maleki did a superb job showing like Spike has done what he has. I just love the guy and he entertains me. I really don't think he is meant to terrify-the only person really scared of him is Jessica and that is becuase he is really blackmailing her.

Pheonix, I disagree that he's not supposed to be scary. He sure scares the [!@#$%^&*] out of me! :o Yes, at times he's funny but he is a loose cannon! He could go off at any minute! Best you watch out!!

I like Spike. I don't want him to stick around forever but I LOVE how he raises hell for that ho of a wife.

One of my favorite Spike moments was when he dumped Jess's John in the water and the tsunami came in with his body on top.

Well, I don't think he is supposed to be but he may be to some. He can be threatening but he doesn't scare me. Maybe it depends on the person but he entertains me more then anything else  .
