Oh, how I hope this is true!! SOW had better not be twisting things after all we've been through with this soap. I'm keeping my hopes up!!!! This would help in calming down the negative reaction from the cuts. Stefano won't replace Austin and Carrie but at least someone with a huge fanbase would be returning and I am sure that would keep some fans in their seats (although I don't see alot of fans tuning out of Days at this point anyway). Stefano and Jack are my favorite characters--ever. It's been very hard to swallow the fact that MA was fired AGAIN when people like Farah Fath and Jason Cook get to decide their own fates. I'm sure the Christie/Austin fans feel the same. The difference for me now is that I really think there are a lot of good things going on with Days. I'm loving the Bo/Steve interaction, the Kayla/Steve interaction, the better sense of balance as far as characters go...I could go on and on. I also really like Stephanie. SO...although I hate some things going on like the quads (mainly Shimi/Phelle) and Chelsea, and I HATE the fact that MA is gone just because MR is leaving (even though I believe he WILL be coming back), I think there is much to look forward to. Stefano is up there as one of the biggest things I am hoping for. I don't believe for one second that Sheffer is a dumb man. I think all of this is very calculated, and he'll do everything he can to offset the bad with good. Bringing Stefano back? VERY good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He did it with James Stenbeck on ATWT, even after swearing that he'd never go there! But I don't think this SOW cover holds much promise; sounds like a typical one of their misdirects. A plea from the spoiler-free folk -- of which I'm one: can we PLEASE watch the titles of these threads in the Spoiler Island area? I was going into Discuss the Soaps and saw that the most recent post in here was "Days: Stefano Returning"... so I kind of HAD to check it out because I'd already seen (or thought I'd seen) the news. SN even hinted that he may be back soon. I hope CC is too. People have a right to be angry about the cuts that have been made, especially given how some of the others by rights should have gone first but they don't make as much. Days has alot going for it right now so I am very hopeful for the future. If Stefano is returning, I am VERY hopeful because I know Hogan and Beth will do a good job with him. Everywhere he goes people ask him is he coming back, etc. If he were to come back he would have to wait till the end of August when his contract at B&B is up. I guess my biggest surprise here is that there isn't more backlash towards the crappier actors who continue to hog the airtime and never get the axe. Yeah, people are generally annoyed by them here, but no one seems to despise them the way I do. LOL! This is an improvement from times past. I remember reading an article a while back where he emphatically said he was never coming back. A friend of mine on another board even went so far as to e-mail him (it seems like his B&B contract was up for renewal at the time or something) and pleaded for him to come back, but his very short but sweet reply was that he wasn't interested and he was staying put. So, there is some thawing in the relationship between Corday and Mascolo and in Mascolo's feelings towards Days. That's a GOOD thing. I won't give up hope that he'll be back. Members King Posted August 17, 2006 Members Share Posted August 17, 2006 I don't agree with a show that is in trouble (and by that I mean only nearly re-newed the last two negotiation periods) getting rid of characters who are generally loved as characters and keeping characters who are generally dislike or at least, in relation to the characters they are axing. I also don't agree with keeping token characters and pulling them out of your sleeve for one episode a month. If Hoagie has a story for Abe and Lexie, fine. Why, all of a sudden is he saying that he wants to come back when before he said he would never come back? Something is definitely going on between Corday and Mascolo. I'm sure he contacted him, but he can't say anything about returning until he signed a contract.... Just like Andre said. I also remember Corday saying in interviews that the DiMera's were DONE and never coming back. But now he's saying that the rise of the Phoenix is always possible...
