GH: Fan Fave Fired. Actress Blindsided
Basically, there always are petitions. It's like an i that has to be dotted, or crossing a t. They're just there. Effective for some things, but not most. KeMo, I think, has 5 of them & now that is really & truly going overboard with wasting people's time. But, to me, what's worse with KeMo is that her mother is out on Twi/X every single day & some of the things she posts, well, she literally does not understand what she is reading & then reacting to. She commented about it being disrespectful that Kelly's exit was not in the fall preview. Yes, THAT preview, the fake one. Plus, of course, it's not like they would have previewed a death we're not meant to know about that may not happen until November sweeps, anyway. And, no, that's not a spoiler. I do not know the date of said unknown death.

DAYS: Will classic episodes ever be available?
I am utterly amazed. Corday really said that? Then? At the time that NBC had started bleeding them. WOW. That would have been some really remarkable interest in film preservation. If so, I am duly impressed. And, typically I do not give an inch when it is Corday we are speaking of. I have 2 graphics I use to represent him. One is an ostrich with its head in the sand. The other is a golfer making his backswing. If a third is required, I've got it, too, a baby grand. I do know that when it was first announced that DAYS was headed to Peacock, Beverlee McKinsey's son, Scott, a director at DAYS, said he would not be at all surprised if the classic episodes archive was included in the first year or two of being on that streaming service. I really do like your optimism. As far as I am aware, DAYS never wiped, but they did lose 1 or 2 early seasons to a warehouse fire. I believe it is Season 2, maybe 3. (AMC & OLTL also suffered a warehouse fire causing them to lose a few. But, nothing at all like for example, all of P&G wiped till late '79/early '80, when they stopped that evil practice.)

DAYS: Will classic episodes ever be available?
She was such a brat! It's nothing short of amazing that she turned out so well. And, then, poor Marie being jilted by Tony Merrill & then, WHAT, marrying Tony's dad. But, about the money. I fear people do not realize what a truly expensive proposition it is. These classic, vintage soaps have so many episodes. They all have to be organized, curated, then digitized. Title cards likely would have to be made. Chronological would be one thing but marketed by story would cost even more. Then, finally, all of these now "duded up" episodes would have to be placed on servers. Think. So many episodes = so many servers. The mind boggles. Not anything cheap about it. This is it, folks, the reason we do not already have classic soaps, daytime ones, already streaming. $$$$

It came about because of Mark Derwin. He was at OLTL then & of course he knew Jerry. They were in really dire straits & had been for awhile. They very badly needed a recast for Clint & apparently had had absolutely NO LUCK in coming up with a recast. Mark basically said to them that Jerry could do the job & that they would be pleased if they would just give him a chance. OLTL called Jerry the next day. They talked. He read. Everyone immediately got on board. The rest as they say, is history, I get it that they had to ask actors to take pay cuts & they also had to move some people off of contract. I just hated that we lost Jerry. And, also, the way it happened, yes, fast as you said, we got only some lousy closure about a plane crash & no body. That was it for Ross, too. I will say only one more thing & that is it shows what an excellent actor Jerry was that he could play two such totally different roles, Ross & Clint, you would think had NOTHING in common.

I do recall that Ellen Wheeler called Jerry to book him for 2 days a week for the next 3 weeks & she was shocked to learn he had a new gig, contract role on OLTL. To me, and I am known as a Wheeler apologist, it was her first HUGE mistake. She should have put Bradley or Frank even on recurring but not Jerry.

OH!!! Of course, Alexnadra Wilson. I found her, quite honestly, to be subpar. I'm sure she's a lovely person but I don't think that acting was the best choice for her. Watch me try to be polite.

So, I recently found a whole folder of GL screencaps of two episodes, March 4th & 5th, unknown year, but Laura Wright is playing Cassie still so it's over 18 years ago. It is very obvious that Edmund is on trial. The challenge here - should you choose to accept it - is what is the year & what was he on trial for!!! There are 70 pix in this media album. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1055607226077312&type=3 It's also clear that Liz & Laura have portraits stashed in attics or basements. They've apparently not aged a day. And, yes, it's true I still love Jude/Nick. Here's just a few.

This is a delightful, also accurate description at how EF could so easily be used, with or without a story she was actually involved in!!!! I was thinking, if I recall correctly, she was originally from the Carolinas & a local preacher's daughter. My parents live there & my mother had such a fondness for her & followed stories about her & her family in the local newspaper. That was when the soaps were a half hour long & she could watch ATWT and AW and DAYS. The first time I ever saw my mother cry was when Neal died. I think it was Neal. Owned a bookstore? She cried for 3 days.

There was so much about Chris Goutman's decisions that totally frustrated me but in fact his simply not using "Lisa" AT ALL for those last several years was infuriating.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I am very excited. I'm beginning my new DAYS Re-watch project. I just finished 1991 so today I start with Thurs. 1-2-92. No Roman, actually no Bradys at all. No Marlena, no John, no Izzy, no Carly. We have Julie, Alice, Ginger, Brian, Molly, Tanner, Jack, Jenn, Vern, Hawk, Chauncey, Chip, a Fed. Ginger & Brian are moving on now past flirting & kissed last night on NYE & again today. The Federal agent explained to Jack that his 5 million dollars was cashed out from stocks to cash in a brokerage in Muncie, Indiana & that they lost the documentation warning them not to cash those particular stocks. Jack, as you can imagine, was beyond himself, so frustrated. He is wearing a pink trench coat that belongs to Jenn. WHY? Julie is very concerned & she talks to Alice about this. She had thought Chip was a different kind of man. Now she's realized he is just like other people, guys who burned her. Alice also had a heart-to-heart with Jack. She tried hard to get him to see if Jenn did not love him she would not be so hurt at what he did. But, if he wants her back, he is going to have to prove that she can trust him again. Meanwhile Jenn is at the apartment packing to go to DC for an on-air network reporting job. Jack comes home & is so upset that she is leaving. He tells her they have to be together to work this out. She doesn't seem to be listening. We end the show with the camera coming closer & closer until it's on a tight shot of just Jack's face, pondering.
