Instead what I see is two people who tried very hard to be thoughtful & also deliberate in their actions who were met with roadblocks at every juncture & then when they were still not ready, events overtook them & literally chaos ruled & we're going to see them pay in terms of repercussions. IOW, despite the best laid plans, sh*t happens. The only thing I do not understand is why didn't she call Tate to come help, now, stat? She needed it to be very clinical & it was very messy.

In a way I tell myself it's not as grotesque as it could be because earlier Kristen was Eileen Davidson & current Kristen is Stacy Haiduk, but I don't really believe myself.

IMO literally the most egregious thing about age, aging, ages & de-aging on DAYS is illustrated by Kristen & her relationships with John & Brady. Another lifetime ago she was in love with John. She would have to known Brady as an infant. However she has been portrayed as in love with him as well & even had a child with him, little Rachel. Sure, soaps are full of times when someone has been with two generations but this version of that seems like it ought to be particularly ewww yet no one ever seems to notice.

Kathy & Scott! Well, it is almost universally hated by fans who watched it in real time. To me it definitely IS THAT BAD! I wish I knew if it really relates to BTG. I certainly hope not. There are so many reasons. Worst, probably is that they tainted the histories of 5 veterans, guys, who did not deserve to have their reputations sullied in such an awful way. Least, is probably that they did it mostly to give a job to a friend, Carrie Nye. You have to remember that John Conboy & Ellen Weston were IMO the first nails in the coffin of GL. The Maryanne Carruthers storyline is one of the worst examples of exec/HW excesses & not in support of good storytelling. It was awful.

[If I have told this before, sorry to be duplicating.] I have had reason to email with Courtney Sherman Simon in the past & earlier this year I sent her this Almost instantly she emailed me back & shared with me that the line she wrote actually was And she still had a preference for it the way she wrote it. I loved that she shared it. I loved that after all these years she recalled with that focus & precision exactly what she wrote. I loved that in their business they probably have actors tweak lines all the time, or just paraphrase instead of verbatim, etc.

Literally had nothing to do with this discussion. In future, I would offer the gentle suggestion to provide some context especially if it's a link to a non-GL site. BTW, fan lore has it that they refused to tie up any & all loose ends because of how angry John Conboy was about their cancellation & not because there was any chance of a new venue by this time.
