Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think that up to season 8, yes. But after being fired from the show and truly let it set in how Tamra played her like a fiddle, I think had Gretchen returned, it would've taken nothing for her to nail her ass to the cross.

I wanted her back for one reason and one reason only--to grind Tamra to dust.

Did you watch seasons 11 and 12? If not, your opinions will change. Cancer-gate gets beaten to death. Kelly Dodd literally saves this show in season 11. Season 12 was a mess. While I liked Peggy, she was a horrible casting choice. So was bringing back Lydia. Bravo missed the perfect opportunity that season to bring back Gretchen and Lizzie full-time.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
To me this season what reminiscent of BH last season. It was obvious that production and the cast were hell bent on making Vicki the villain. Do I think she lied about Brooks/cancer? Yes. However, these women dragged it on for 2 additional seasons after it happened. Be prepared. Much like dog gate, I believe cancer gate was dragged out b/c none of the other women had much to offer. This is why I am ALL for the reboot of OC. BH needs the same dosage.

Lizzie was brought back, but rumor is Tamra pulled strings with production to have Lizzie's presence decreased on the show. It probably didn't help either that Lizzie was the one person that was on Vicki's side in s10.

Apparently, Skanka Lame was on Wendy's Williams today. Her boring ass gave opinions on LVP's exit and Brandi/Denise. https://www.realitytea.com/2020/02/07/erika-jayne-doesnt-miss-lisa-vanderpump-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills/ https://www.realitytea.com/2020/02/07/erika-jayne-discusses-the-denise-richards-brandi-glanville-hookup-rumors/ And I do agree that everyone is replaceable on Housewives ... even this dullard ass cast, which I pray will be replaced after this upcoming dud season.

I think the GH model really only worked for Santa Barbara, Days, and somewhat OLTL. The bizarre, over the top, adventure, borderline sci-fi storytelling did not work for the other shows. It just saddening that majority of the soaps (with the exception of Y&R and AMC) lost their identities in the early 80s. ATWT reclaimed their's upon Marland's return and it worked heavily in their favor. What made this genre so special was that while the model was the same, each show had different elements that made it unique from the next.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Now if only Bravo would do this with the Beverly Hills cast.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
But that might be a good thing--a recast that could've taken Harley in a different direction. Again, I would just want her to be on the canvas for her reaction to Phillip's return and being a sound board for her boys, who are reeling with the fact that both their fathers caused Ross' demise. All these what if scenarios just saddens me b/c it just shows how this show didn't need all that flash to restore itself to greatness. All GL (and ATWT too) needed was to rest on their rich history and character connections to bounce back. Sucks that the sh-tty writers, producers, network, and P&G didn't see that.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I think that had Harley been recast and not spending all her time whimpering over Gus, it could've worked. Plus, if the town was going to be coming for Phillip (and Rick by default), it would've been interesting to see how Zach and Jude would be affected by it all. Ooo... and Amanda coming back with Alan Michael would've been juicy. All the Spauldings under one manor backstabbing one another to gain control of Spaulding would've been great. Seeing as they missed the opportunity to bring back Alan's child with Rita (with Gus), it would be interesting to see his other spawn pop up and throw a wrench in things.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Vicki leaving the OC might breathe new life into the show. If they are gonna scrap Vicki, I say go all out and get rid of a huge portion of the cast too. Start fresh. It might be the thing that saves this show. If only this same production company would do the same to their other housewife show, BH...😏- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Was the cancellation of the show prior to Phillip returning? I thought it was slightly after his return. Phillip should've gotten a medal for ridding us of Grady. I agree though that the dummy going over the cliff was hilarious and horrendous. I know the show has a shoestring budget but they could've filmed that so much better. See I wanted crazed Phillip to be addressed b/c I wanted to see the fallout upon his return. As I've said before, I would've loved for Leah to give her godfather grief for ruining her parent's marriage. I would've loved for Dinah and Blake's kids to wreak havoc on Phillip's life too. It would've been interesting (too) to see Blake revert to early Blake and hop on the train destroy Phillip. While Phillip's exit was trash, his return would've at least provided tons of story if written correctly. And we're only scratching the surface as we haven't factored. in Harley and her kids, who I wanted to be recast after Beth Ehlers left chasing behind RPG on AMC.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

But they did eventually recast Ed with Bob Gentry reprising and they should've possibly kept him. Was Mart Hulswit still acting the time? If so, they should've brought him back to play Ed after Robert didn't work out. In regard to Rick, they stayed flopping and missing opportunities with the character in later years. Even after Abby/Rick got blown to shreds, do you think that Mel/Rick could've possible taken that role too? At least I did.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
While Simon's Ed is my Ed., I do agree with this statement. I was just rewatching the Julie/Hart/Dylan/Bridget climax and how Ed scolded Bridget made me want to jump through the screen. He was so sanctimonious and smug while wagging his hypocritical finger at Bridget for calling out Julie for sleeping around. It irks my soul that the writers didn't have Bridget rip Ed a new one in that scene.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh I saw that drivel online. Here's my one thing though, if Dollar Tree Kary does not hold her feet to the fire like she did Leeanne, we (the fans) are gonna light her ass on fire. Brandi's already been saying that all the women (minus Lee and Kam) have been supportive about her going to a "spa" to fix herself. 😏 This is why I am firm that they should've fired everyone but Kam.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Midseason trailer for those who cannot see it. Also, Nene is low-class as f-ck. Who tries to spit on someone? Gutter butt.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Why am I not surprised. 😑 From what little I've seen, why not have Stacey torn between the 2. That triangle seems like it could've lasted for years.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
That was a cute episode of Loving. Can I ask what happened to Rick? Was he just written off?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@DaytimeFan, should they just revive Miami? That would make me damn happy at this point.
