  1. SLC Bad episode for Lisa Barlow. She can't defend her rant against Meredith and each time she tried she just looked more foolish and sloppy. That she 'might have got the numbers wrong' about Cameron and Mary's church is pretty appalling because it radically changes how people can perceive Mary. I get the impression that production may not enjoy dealing with Lisa, hence the hot mic moments. Yet again Jen Shah was likeable. I certainly get the impression that Meredith and Heather and Whitney have been sharing notes as the season aired.
  2. I respectfully disagree. I sincerely thought Heather was trying to include Ryne and make him feel comfortable and not silenced because Jen was a drunk mess and was not handling the situation at all. The scenes did make me wonder if Ryne is potentially neurodiverse. He did not seem to be picking up on conventional social cues.
  3. NJ I am not viewing this season as team vs team because I think although there are overlapping issues, there are individual distinctions: Teresa: truly, one of the dumbest hypocrites on television. Teresa actually said that no one should be judged based on their past...yet she hung Danielle Staub's past over her head for a decade. Teresa demands blind loyalty but is loyal to one but herself. Luis loves the camera and he's put on that mic pack, so for Teresa to try and insulate him is hypocrisy at its finest. Jennifer is hurt and humiliated but the psychology of Bill cheating has not been fully resolved for her. She identifies Margaret as 'the other woman'...but she's not. As Margaret herself said, she's not the other woman, she's Bill. That is probably where some of Jennifer's anger comes from and she hasn't figured it out yet. Dolores wants to get along with everyone, and generally succeeds in doing so but she plays all sides to keep her own personal peace. That said, that's what adults do when a fight has nothing to do with them. She has a real friendship with Teresa and a real friendship with Margaret. I think she can find Jennifer and Melissa amusing and she tolerates Jackie. Jackie sort of wants to be the big dog in a fight, but she's ultimately not cut out for that kind of confrontation and really should stay well out of it. Margaret has no problem just blurting things out and being confrontational. The producers would love that. However, I do think when it came to Luis that she's doing good Housewifery and making sure that his insane video is addressed on camera. She is also not afraid to let it all hang out to an extent, which makes her harder to attack, which infuriates Teresa because Margaret is much quicker than she is. Melissa and Joe could have (and should have) let the 'crook' comment go and it would have died a long time ago. But I think they realize it's part of their storyline and Melissa has never liked Jennifer, so it's convenient to have conflict with her. What Melissa and Joe aren't wrong about is Teresa does not back them up when she expects them to back up Luis. I am enjoying this season immensely because there's a lot of different angles to the conflict and I think there's still a lot of genuine fondness between this cast.
  4. I just get chills down my spine seeing Jack 'Albatross' Wagner back on the B&B set. Never has a character been so catered to for so long with so little reason for doing so like that of Nick Marone. Glad to see Winsor getting a cheque though.
  5. The wink to DAYS fans would be fantastic. And KA's Taylor could treat one of Gina's models (see below) for an anxiety disorder when walking the runway...she meets Dr. Finnegan in the hallways...the storyline writes itself. A modelling agent whose ice cold would be amazing. I remember a number of posters, myself included, hoped for this when she left DAYS. Kristian excelled on MP when playing a total bitch. Margo needs to be held for Lauren Koslow to play when/if DAYS is cancelled and she needs to re-up her SAG/AFTRA insurance in her retirement.
  6. I think it's that classic case of not knowing what's being said in the VT interviews and as they'd seen all the episodes right before they filmed the reunion, I'm sure the odd minor jab got the best of both of them and they couldn't separate minor irritations from larger ego clashes.
  7. Dame Joan celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary on February 17 with a party in London:
  8. SLC Meredith at the reunion was like Season 1 Meredith, except she engaged. And when it came to Jennie, she engaged HARD and left her for dead. It's amazing how much more likeable Jen Shah is than Erika Jayne. What Jen is charged with is atrocious, while Erika isn't charged with anything, yet Erika's behaviour is so callous that she seems guilty of something, while Jen sounds like she actually believes in her own innocence. It's really something. Heather and Lisa hate each other. It is what it is.
  9. Howard Bragman is now saying he doubts the source of that Instagram post and doubts it is Wendy herself: https://people.com/tv/wendy-williams-rep-questions-source-of-her-instagram-post-amid-fate-of-talk-show/ Debmar-Mercury was incredibly patient and if anyone in Wendy's camp think there's a potential lawsuit there, they don't know what they're talking about. She's breached her contract a million ways with this absence.
  10. On Wendy's new Instagram account she has posted a story saying, although she has respect for him and appreciates his concern, she has not authorized Howard Bragman, her spokesman, from commenting on the news. It's always something off kilter with her.
  11. I don't buy it at all. Since when did Sonja move to Florida? By all accounts she's been spending most of her time between her family's farm in Nashville and Los Angeles. Social media has been coming hard for Ramona, especially when Jennie on SLC was fired. I think she remains a very hot button issue for Bravo and they'll be taking their time in assessing whether it's viable to bring her back. Now, I would love it if Leah and Eboni were both out. They brought nothing to the show and viewer reaction to both of them was quite poor.
  12. Love B Scott is claiming, in an exclusive, that The Wendy Williams Show will be officially canceled in June and The Sherri Shepherd Show will debut in the fall in the show's slot. https://www.lovebscott.com/exclusive-wendy-williams-show-officially-canceled-june-sherri-shepherd-show-premiere-fall
  13. Agreed on both counts. Lisa's hysterics are gold for SLC and ensure a smooth transition from the Shah era, presuming she's convicted. Given she's the sole holdout on a plea bargain, it will be a dramatic trial, should it proceed that far.
  14. Looks like a great reunion.
  15. Who could blame Angela - Patty Duke stole her Oscar for The Manchurian Candidate. I always found it odd that for as many MGM actors who appeared, and who Angela delighted in giving great paying guest shots that maintained their SAG insurance, major MGM people like Ann Miller or Arlene Dahl never did. I always wondered if those glamour girls treated Angela like sh*t on the MGM backlot and when she finally had some power she exercised it.
  16. They've simply never had a good theme since they discontinued Faces of the Heart.
  17. There are episode of MSW where Jessica encounters mysteries concerning her late husband, Frank, which gave Lansbury her best shots at the Emmy. The Last Flight of the Dixie Damsel (Robin Strasser guest stars) and Thursday's Child (Lansbury's old Hollywood friend Vera Miles plays a woman who claims Frank Fletcher is the father of her child). I also don't think Emmy voters watched the show. Lansbury said it herself that Hollywood didn't watch the show. She has been nominated so many times, for various things, and never won. There has to be some Hollywood politics at play. Perhaps some were jealous of her success.
  18. Pettifleur was just atrocious - but also perfect for the franchise because of how things developed over her seasons…keep your eyes on Gina and Janet around her.
  19. Oh, please don't misunderstand my point, I don't begrudge Angela a single dollar - I love her and applaud her business acumen. I only wish other actresses had been as smart as she was. What I meant by my comment is that despite only doing the show for the money, Angela invested herself professionally in putting out a product that was first class. You can tell from her interviews that she really cared about the show, cared about how Jessica's portrayal translated to the audience, and cared about her crew. Like she said in her Archive of American Television interview, she always wanted to make the show better.
  20. Which lead to very lucrative endorsements with top tier brands: Lansbury's natural warmth lent itself beautifully to television and the 'cozy mystery' genre in particular. There is an oddly timeless quality to Murder, She Wrote that translates internationally. Although Lansbury has openly said she did the show for the money, she raked in $300,000 an episode and owned a piece of the show, which they later sold to Universal, the product was of high quality and has stood the test of time.
  21. I think the top 10 is also a big ol' yikes.
  22. At this point, a comeback for Wendy seems implausible. I wish for health, peace, and happiness for Wendy. Her life has been very turbulent the last few years and something very serious has obviously unfolded. I also wish Sherri success. She is well liked and has proven she can handle her own show.
  23. Absolutely love Niecy - she is superb in all she does. I hope it's picked up as a spin-off - she deserves this kind of success.
  24. I thought some would be interested in seeing the (staged) house of MTS and Ed Scott that they've recently sold for $6.1 million, a significant profit on the $2.3 million they paid for it in 2001. https://www.dirt.com/gallery/entertainers/actors/melody-thomas-scott-house-beverly-hills-1203451438/
  25. Wendy has instructed lawyers to petition Wells Fargo to unfreeze a bank account containing several million dollars that the bank froze after reaching agreement with Wendy in November that Wells Fargo could freeze assets if it suspected dementia or financial exploitation: https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.yahoo.com/amphtml/wendy-williams-asks-judge-unfreeze-171738233.html
