  1. It would be so interesting to know the BTS at TD and GH as far as Marland was concerned, There were certainly budget restrictions at TD that may have had an impact on stories he wanted to tell. I'm sure relationships with execs had a bearing as well. I'd love to see Marlands first few months at GH and see how he reshaped the show. I think Gloria Monty was quite supportive of his ideas and he had an hour format to work with. Also ABC started spending money so the whole look of the show was transformed also.
  2. This was an opportunity to reset the Steve/Carolee relationship with each of them moving slowly towards reconciliation. Jada seems to be accepted as an excellent replacement but they need to deal with everything that happened, rather than a quick resolution.
  3. At one point there were some compilation clips of Lance/Lori at a disco I think and a Greek Villa. Also when Vanessa shot Lance and Lorie and Vanessa had dinner with Lance . Does anyone else recall these?
  4. We've also seen the episode from late 73 ? when Jill goes to the Chancellor house for the first time and John Considine is playing Phillip. Edit -is that the Jan 74 episode?
  5. That was 78 I believe. Not sure if Reege played himself but probably yes.
  6. Wow! Thank you so much so much for this. Shows that there are still unseen episodes out there. Just one episode but it gives a clear idea of the tone of the show at that time. And a cast list!
  7. 1981 Lucille Wall returns as Lucille
  8. Ellen Foley also recorded a few albums and had some success in Europe and Australia. Her second album was written/produced by Mick Jones of The Clash, with whom she was in a relationship at the time. As for David Pressman I posted an interview with him and Larry Auerbach, long time director of Love of Life in this thread but it didn't get much attention. I'm going to repost as I'm sure it will be of interest.
  9. I can't think of another character named Sally that had any prominence apart from Sally on Y&R in the 70's. And Sally Spectra on B&B in the 80's/90's.
  10. Re Golden windows Add James Mishler Sept 54 Barbara Cook also joined at that time.
  11. For the 25th anni, Alice could have easily had a fantasy of being re-united with Steve, thus allowing Courtney and Reinholt to be together one last time. The Cory set was impressive, although there needed to be an front entrance.
  12. Has there ever been a 'civilian' extra at the Nurses Station over the years? It's always nurses and orderlies looking at clipboards, shuffling papers, taking/replacing bottles in medicine cabinet, answering phones and conferring. Any hospital I've been to there are always members of the public wandering around.
  13. it was madness dumping Beverly Penberthy. She was still avery attractive woman and in all her years on the show Pat had only been married once. It would have made more sense to use Pat as a bridge to establishing a new family, much like Jill marrying into the Abbotts on Y&R. Pat's new husband could have had a couple of kids and Pat had Mike and Marianne who had been aged dramatically in the 70's and could have been reintroduced still in their 20's to be viable.
  14. Those radio performers must have found TV soaps so limiting.Previously they could work on several shows at once . Some corrections. SFT Karl Weber wasn't Arthur for 4 years. I think it was only one, until Terry O'Sullivan returned. Kitty Foyle wasn't on the air in 54
  15. Jessie doesn't get a love interest, at least nothing major. With so little focus on the hospital it begs the question of what Jessie will do. Maybe Marland will do some more hospital based stuff.
  16. Oops, got confused. Sorry about that. Always check before posting!
  17. Jonathan Frid Mark LaMura Lois Kibbee William Roerick
  18. Not always. I'm sure there were many married performers who had an understanding and acccomodating wife or an incredibly naive one. Another two... James Mitchell Holland Taylor
  19. Screen Guild Theater and Screen directors Playhouse available...
  20. There were articles way back in the 70's of how independent Ms Flannery knew her way around a toolshed.... Peter Barton? Shemar Moore?
  21. Am I seeing a little Penelope Cruz in some of those shots?? Susan looks great with the short cut. She really should go with that length now as the long locks look dated on her .
  22. There were articles way back in the 70's of how independent Ms Flannery knew her way around a toolshed.... Of course, there's another Days lady that we might include in this list and a long time GH actor...
