  1. I love the name Bailey Louise. It reminds me of Nola Reardon's Kelly Louise.
  2. I adore Lauren Hutton and I would keep her as another character. Perhaps the gallerist who is also Allen's mistress. In my mind Linda should have been brunette, stylish and sophisticated. Not necessary a super star. Perhaps a daytime actress or someone famous from the 80s. As I said, the idea is Jackie O meets Sue Ellen, no real casting ideas though.
  3. They should have cast someone younger and more sympathetic for Stephanie's part. Same goes for the husband. Maedchen Amick was perfect and so was John Barrowman. The idea of Lauren Hutton as the mother sounds interesting, but they needed a more charismatic actress for their Jackie O meets Sue Ellen hybrid. Kylie Travis should have been there from the start and a more vibrant actress for Nikki might have helped. I hated the first opening and the second one screamed 80's mini series shot in Italy. The reboot cheapened the show. The original idea was Sex and the City as a real soap opera and it could have been amazing.
  4. During that time I thought that Ellen Winters was the Mary to Jack's Mason Capwell. It was the same period they got Tricia Cast and Nina was quite similar to Christy Duvall. I thought that Y&R was borrowing ideas from Santa Barbara.
  5. I guess the character will be needed for the Jack & Phyllis "mystery".
  6. Josh Griffith uses the show's history in the most boring and awkward way possible. Remember the idea of Phillip Chancellor being Jack's father? Theo's random connection to the Brooks family?
  7. They have been talking about this shocking twist for weeks. It'd better be something good.
  8. But she was not fired. It was all part of the plan, right?
  9. Cynthia Watros as Patty Williams Abbott in the 00s. Before the Mary Jane madness that is.
  10. I remember being horrified as I watched Nancy Karr tied in a bed in bandages. This was a 1981 story about her being kidnapped and held at a clinic.
  11. B&B Denise Alexander as Beth Logan after leaving Another World Y&R Cassandra Creech as Dru? GL Hugo Napier taking over from Ron Raines as Alan Spaulding Jamie Luner as Blake Marler in the 00s Brian Kerwin as Ed Bauer Marj Dusay as Rita instead of Alex in the 90s
  12. There is no point in trying to make Willow interesting by giving her new parents. They could say that she is Luke and Helena's or Terry and Liz's and nobody would care. She is a boring character, played by a boring (or bored) actress who is involved in a boring relationship with a boring guy. Her parents are the least of her problems.
  13. Stephanie's scandal was Bradley's "smart" idea to create a new insta-family of name actors and to be able to create tasteless pairings between the Forrester kids. It was wrong in so many ways and Stephanie was not the character for that type of story. In the 2000s Stephanie and Taylor tried to outslut Brooke for no real reason.
  14. If Mike had stayed in the 80s, there would not be much need for Ross in TPTB's minds. Perhaps not even Ed, since he could be the town lawyer and the Bauer patriarch as well.
  15. This is a name from a ten-year old soap fan's first fan fiction attempt
  16. Maya on B&B. This could have been iconic. Something that would draw the attention of non-soap fans. Brad Bell managed to make it boring, the story played out like a fairytale. Plus the casting for such a character was all wrong.
  17. Phillip's death was a great story. A real tragedy, Jill and Kay losing in a car accident another Phillip they both loved. TB was great as the shy, awkward, sensitive boy and that's where the story should have ended. No Cane, no Gay Witness Protection Program.
  18. I love your ideas as always . GL didn't even need all these changes brought by the TEXAS people.
  19. Just an idea in order to avoid the unwatchable Lewis-Shayne madness of the 80s 🙂
  20. Would you have accepted Kim Zimmer as nu-Hope in 1983? Not acting all Estelle Kendall of course, but like a more decent version of Nola Aldrich.
  21. Well I guess you were not very good at that. Stay happy and positive, bye.
  22. If you don't understand that attacking other posters is not normal or acceptable behaviour, my thoughts about Brenda Dickson is the last thing that should be on your mind right now. I didn't answer your post because I wanted to discuss my Y&R fantasies with you. Or that I felt the need to convince you that I am not nuts. I am shocked that you haven't understood this yet. At this point we are repeating the same things to each other, no reason to continue. Since you think that talking to others in a civilized way is too much, please ignore my posts.
  23. LH is doing wonders for tired and boring Sam.
