So Kristen was the Lauralee of the family and Ridge was the Brad. Too bad that they didn't keep the fashion magazine stories longer. Caroline was a Stephanie in the making with Brooke being her Beth. I am obsessed with early B&B. Margo should have stayed longer and Brooke's first baby should have been Ridge's with her marrying Thorne in order to raise the child as a Forrester. Margo should have been Mrs. Eric Forrester.

Eric was also ruined by Brad. I have never seen another soap patriarch treated like this. What is next? He ends up marrying a pornstar? Thank God we never got to see the Lolita storyline. Sophisticated Stephanie became a mean Sally Spectra who believed that she was Stefano Dimera. The less said about Brooke the better.

Why did Diane buy Keemo's apartment and feel the need to meet with Allie?

I think that 1989 was way too soon for the show to give up on the "normal" characters. Beth was replaced by Sally, Macy took over from the Logan girls. From one point I understand that Bill Bell wanted to move the show to the 90s, focus on the fashion world and the rich LA people.But B&B lost something (its heart?) when it became all about the Forresters.

Are you talking about the Beacon? I had no idea. Didn't someone live in the lighthouse at some point? Rauch's was the one with the cheap lighthouse graphics.

Conboy ruined everything good that Taggart and Culliton did. Too bad that they didn't get a chance to stay longer. I have to say that his opening (while it was not that good) it was much better than Rauch's 2002 one.

Me too. I wouldn't want the show to remind me of that horrible, insulting storyline, ever again.

Is it time to stop waiting for the "big twist that will change B&B forever"? We have been hearing about this for more than a month.

In some early 80s episodes it looks as though Amanda is living alone in the house where Alan and Hope would later move. Was this Lucille's house? I also remember reading that Ross bought a carriage house for his new bride Carrie. Was this Ben and Amanda' former residence? Alan's mansion and Ross's home were in the same estate? Sounds weird. Another question... were Spaulding offices at some point moved to the same building where Towers was? BTW who owned Towers?

Some randon thoughts: * I had no idea Finn is a doctor. I would have never guessed. * Sheila has been way too violent for no real reason over the years. She has no real ties to these people. Why is she coming back all the time? I guessed she was supposed to be the Vanessa Prentiss to Steffy's Lorie, too many things happen way too soon. I'd rather watch Diana Marrone fight Steffy for a man with her mother's help. * Poor Ally Forrester. Nobody remembers her on the show. Remember a crazy time when the show would kill Logans and Forresters left and right? Beth, Storm, Ally, Phoebe... * Are Wyatt, Shauna, Flo still around? The show could use a cast shakeup at this point.

There is not much to do with Nola once she gets Mister McCord. Kelly and Nola would have been far more interesting, with real problems. It is like Scotty ending up with Bobbie once his marriage to Laura is over. Would Josh be Morgan's Holden to her Lily? We will never know. I find Marland's GL fascinating. Hard to believe how everything was ruined (at least for me) once he left. Pam Long's reboot idea could work on a dying show like Search during that period, but GL didn't need and deserve it. To this day I believe that Phillip and Beth's entire story was a Marland idea he used on Loving for Jack and Lily.

Little Eric? (Has Finn been involved with Hope? Could he end up being Deacon's son?)

The story sounds crazy. Mariah Copeland is so not a Y&R name. They should just call her Lesbian Cassie. Killing off Cassie in order for Nick and Sharon to stay young was a horrible idea. The beginning of the horrible pairing with Phyllis 🤬

Bill Bell would present such an entrance like something from a Hitchcock film.

Imagine Diane's entrance with one of Y&R's old school music cues. At least a new viewer would have understood that something is going on with "Taylor Jansen".

Is Liz's house supposed to be the old Webber house where Rick and Lesley used to live?

The boy's death turned Jill and Kay's story into a greek tragedy. They were crazy to undo it

From what I understand Edward Scott seemed to think that MTS was all Y&R needed as far as leading ladies were concerned. Everybody else could go as long as Nikki stayed the queen of Genoa City.

Didn't Amy showing out of the blue a few weeks/months before Olivia made some people on the board speculate that the original idea was a triangle with Amy, Nathan and Drucilla as her kid sister/cousin?

Same. Y&R has been way too crazy and weird for several years, so I don't mind them undoing her death. I wouldn't mind then undoing Brad, Colleen, Dina and Hilary's stupid deaths and the Jill Fenmore joke within an episode at this point.
