  1. Cooper was always perfect for the part of Genoa City’s nasty old rich lady. It’s funny some of her contemporaries just a few years younger often tried to go younger but honestly facelift aside I am glad Mrs. Chancellor never ever got played for younger.
  2. Interesting, thanks for sharing. Maybe one day Y&R will get its own Pluto TV channel or be up on CBS All Access. It’s a damn shame it is not already
  3. I follow Jess on Facebook, haha I loved she recently took a poll on all the recent eps reran what everyone’s favorite was thus so far; I think from what I could tell on her page the 1998 attic fight, Glow by Jabot era eps and 1990 Marge ep were leading the way.
  4. BTW thank you as always @YRfan23, your early 90’s collection always gives me joy 🙂.
  5. Curious, was this the soap he was planning in 1976/77? Do we know anything about what it was going to be about?
  6. Haha I was amazed they did keep it so long considering how 70’s it sounds, especially in that 1987 clip of Jill & David. I was a bit stunned to hear it in one of those ‘93 episodes(can’t remember which one but it was around the time Katherine was trying to expose Jill’s pregnancy might). At least Liz’s Theme, Love is Gone theme, and the Genona City Theme had been remastered to fit into the late 80’s & early 90’s seamlessly
  7. The music which I am talking about starts at about 1:57. Interesting it was in the very first episode and in Jess Walton’s first ep @YRfan23, haha the show had come along way from Barbara Anderson thinking Brad was dead to Jill & David scheming:
  8. A temp Skip? Thanks for finding this!!!
  9. It was fine as a residential set but it was strange as office space IMO. But yes, Brittany & Raul lived there too. I think if I recall right Kevin broke into JT’s and destroyed it or something so Raul let JT move. Brittany was pissed obviously as this was right after she found JT had slept with her mother. That’s too bad. The background score for the Hall scene would be used all they way up to 1993 at the latest.
  10. I thought the idea had potential but the moment we had Billy & Phyllis on as “investigative journalists” and Amber doing a gossip column it was DOA. Didn’t they even try to launch a TV channel for Restless Style? Somewhere I saved all the Restless Style covers from 2008-2010 before they stopped doing them, haha I think I might have to dig them up now😅. That set was pretty awful with the really bizarre elevator/lift thing. I think it was a repurposed JT’s loft if I recall right. After Billy let Restless Style fold in early 2013 it became Chelsea & Chloe’s fashion house for about a year until Chloe went berserk and their company went kaput that the show finally retired the set.
  11. She made the cover of Restless Style! 😄
  12. Is it bad I remember some folks on boards(can’t remember if it was here or other boards) criticized having some “cheap newbie singer” appear on the cover of Restless Style? I think Perry had just dropped I Kissed a Girl shortly before it. But hey getting Danny Romalotti to sing for Restless Style’s grand opening party and first issue was considered a coup right? 😆 I am glad to see Katherine’s face lift get aired! Same with Jill’s first episode 😁 As for 2015 I know some would like to see Devon & Hilary again but that whole description “Neil makes amends...” What happened next is still disturbing as hell five years later and Neil never recovered from it.
  13. That was such an odd storyline I kind of even forgot it even occurred lol. This was at a time when they were still trying to expand the Baldwin/Fisher clan so they brought in Lowell/River & Eden. Both flopped, but I did like the twist of how Lowell did turn out to be a very guilt criminal after getting his charges dropped instead of the usual redemption angle of "we're changed people!" the show was pushing for every Baldwin/Fisher clan member at the time. Three or four actresses played Eden, aside from the stuff with Noah & Ricky I don't even remember what else she did now. Did we ever find out about Noah's terrible secret of what he did to Eden that caused her bulimia? I remember rumors that he raped her or sold into prostitution but I don't recall the show addressing aside from Eden forgiving Noah and giving him her blessing to chase after Hunter or whoever she was. Jana was a fun, wacky character and her and Kevin at least made sense as the town's pariah couple, much more than the dull and lifeless pairing of Kevin & Chloe that Jana was sacrificed for.
  14. Hartley was such a powerhouse in the role it is a shame that the show was so horribly written at the time, that final Adam story with the false Constance diary was a complete waste of time. Which reminds me, has Adam ever found out that Sharon basically raised Christian for the first year?
  15. I have a bad feeling of what "Popular Demand" actually means.
  16. Hahaha it was really was, definitely a white person wrote that! I think I remember @DRW50 and Khan tearing the “fancy dress ball” line to shreds.
  17. I wasn’t sure where to post this after coming across it, but here is the casting call Y&R put out for Sophia: Y&R Casting New Role A casting call has gone out for a new denizen of Genoa City, and it's described as a "fun, breakout role." The working name of the character is "Simone" and here are the details: She should be an ample-figured African-American female in her mid-30s. She will be sharp, sassy and bold, street-smart and unafraid of confrontation. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and does not suffer fools gladly. She dresses like she is going to a ball. She loves herself and knows she is "all that." The role is contract and will start around late-April.
  18. Thanks, Colfer is better off staying out of the RM-verse anyways and doing his own thing. He was the show’s golden boy the first couple of seasons but after the Karofsky drama ended he lost honor. Your definitely right a possible curse. I know Disney stars have had their issues over the years but aside from Lohan nothing as dramatic as what’s happened to some of these Glee stars.
  19. Oh I completely understand haha I’m trying to rationalize whoever is picking these eps myself. Especially with that ‘05 Sheila episode they aired out of all the Sheila episodes they could have aired. 🙄 Agreed 100%.
  20. Odd. I wonder if it’s because it is not too far from the distant past and from a time when many (but not all) still considered the show as decent/fair so they call it “classic”. Then again we should be thankful Thudley isn’t picking Y&R’s classics.
  21. That’s a great assessment. LOL I can’t even imagine Bev with Deas at all, it would have been beneath. LOL I do remember that! At least it took some time for Buzz & Reva to finally consummate their marriage. But yes it was ridiculous three men wanted Reva. One of the worst moments was when Alan bought Reva that hideous looking futuristic space age self cleaning house or whatever that later burned down. I personally found it decent, a tad on the generic side and I felt like it was more suited for some lifestyle news show instead but it worked at the time.
  22. Still want a Best of Jill or a Christmas in July week, but very doubtful either of those will happen. Today’s 2001 episode is so far another great episode from the era with more of Jill on a rampage with the Billy & Mac drama front and center. Christopher Douglas’ Sean looks like he was about to bust out of that sweater and glasses 😄. Olivia is a sanctimonious hypocrite towards Malcolm.
  23. Heartbreaking news indeed, feel so sad for her son and family. https://www.google.com/amp/s/heavy.com/entertainment/2020/07/glee-cursed-deaths-suicides-list/amp/ By the way whatever happened to Chris Colfer? I remember he was in the AB Fab movie but after he threw his Klaine pairing under the bus he fell off the radar.
  24. @DRW50 I had just seen your comments about poor Jean Carol. I remember one of the mags at the time (I want to say it was SPW but it might have been SOU) in praising the Marion Crane story wrote something along the lines of "It's spectacular fun to see they've let Marion go around killing off everyone who wants out of their contract!" Sheesh! Only regret that Brent/Marion didn't off Tangie for her exit immediately soon as he back to town. You didn't miss much, Buzz being the show diva at the time had been the first one to find Amish Reva. They later became close with Buzz trying to save Reva from Alan. Later on she married Buzz as a means to let Josh move on with Annie and helped Buzz fight Alan against the destruction of 5th Street but Reva never really loved Buzz more than a friend. Once there was a clear path of reconciliation for Josh & Reva and with Jenna's return they separated. The marriage lasted less than a year and was rarely mentioned much afterward aside from Clone Reva flirting with Buzz.
