  1. I can't believe Victoria would even consider going back. There is a audio interview with her on youtube from Dallas Fanzine and she is asked about joining the reboot. She says Pam is dead and then asks the interviewer " How would you bring her back?" There is also a recent interview with Charlene on youtube and is asked about Victoria. Charlene claims she always got along with her and they would pull pranks on set with each other. Victoria has always spoken highly of Linda Gray, but oddly when Linda is interviewed about Dallas, she never mentions Victoria. She was talking in one about meeting the cast for the first time in 1977 and she mentions them all one by one by name except Victoria who she never mentions at all or her character. Someone did say when Linda was doing a play they visited her in her dressing room and there was a framed letter from Victoria on her dressing table wishing her the best of luck. VP's relationship with cast is odd to say the least. When they ask about her they walk on eggshells when discussing her briefly then change the subject. John Beck said he preferred with with Linda than Victoria. It seems Victoria was closest to Jim Davis.

  3. Lyle Sudrow's daughter Penelope Sudrow was a child/teen actress for many years in the 70's and 80's. She was in one of the "Nightmare On Elm Street" films and was in a memorable episode of "Mamas Family" as Iola's niece Vernette that Mama and Iola set up on blind date with Bubba to take to the prom. There is a reunion photo of Sudrow and Alan Kayser (Bubba) from a few years ago at Chiller. Penelope Sudrow looks exactly like her Dad Lyle.
  4. I love the idea about Elizabeth finding about her child. Brandon probably would have named the child after himself "Brandon". A more mature Elizabeth would tell Alan to shut up and occasionally slap him when he stepped out of line.
  5. She would have to be soft spoken, but tough when she needed to be. One person who springs to mind and she is totally the opposite in looks of Dalton but has that quiet presence is Victoria Mallory (Leslie # 2 on Y&R).
  6. For some reason I can picture Michael E. Knight or maybe Stephen Nichols playing the real heir. It would need Elizabeth back to make it all come together preferably with Lezlie Dalton playing her.
  7. I'm surprised at some point they didn't rewrite history and say the baby Alan had with Elizabeth had not died and was stolen. Then boom the now grown kid shows up in Springfield.
  8. If Mart had to go they should have approached Robert Gentry to return. He was on AW at the time and his character was pretty much a nothing burger. I think Rod Arrants could have played a re-cast Ed around the time PS left and was recast with Richard Van Vleet.
  9. I thought Marland was the one who wanted rid of Mart Hulswit because the thought Ed was getting fat and not considered sexy enough ? In my opinion Marland sucked at GL but was awesome on ATWT. I wonder if Jane Elliot would have been better as a Jackie recast than Crazy Carrie? Kelly & Morgan Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz !
  10. Susan Seaforth Hayes in appears in this short 1965 religious film with other popular TV actors of the day.
  11. I remember comments on youtube about Tangerine".....🤣 The Party is great film.
  12. I saw that one and it is hilarious. I think they they ripped on her several more times in the early days of SNL. Longet was in the 1968 Peter Sellers film " The Party" and I remember seeing her in an episode of "Love American Style" I don't get her singing talent, but supposedly she had decent record sells and recorded a string of albums. I pulled up one of her albums on youtube where she recorded cover versions of popular hits like "Make It With You" by Bread and " We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters. I quickly skipped through the tracks and shut it off.
  13. Re: Actors who were replaced because of death. Michelle Thomas died shortly after joining Y&R and was replaced with Siena Goines.
  14. Anne Baxter and James Brolin both co-starred together in the 1969 TV movie pilot " A Matter Of Humanities" which was the pilot for Marcus Welby M.D. It's interesting they both wound up co-starring again in Hotel. From what I have read James Brolin and Robert Young didn't have a close relationship off set. Young suffered with alcoholism for decades with an attempt at suicide in the early 90's.
  15. Dallas toyed with the idea of re-casting Jock with Steve Forrest. The audience balked and they dropped it. They should have had Jock pass away quietly at Southfork and had closure with the Jock character and Jim Davis the following season after his real life death. Dallas foolishly decided to milk it and it dragged on then they dredged it back up again with the arrival of Wes Parmalee.
  16. I could picture a storyline like that happening with Leslie/Brad/Lorie an throw Jed Andrews into the mix or later with Leslie/Lorie/Lance and Lucas. Vanessa did shoot Lance at one point and Lorie took the blame.
  17. I saw that French singer/actress Claudine Longet died yesterday May 14. She married singer Andy Williams in 1961 and was a frequent guest on shows during the 60's and early 70's. She and Williams had 3 children before they separated in 1970. They divorced in 1974 and remained friends. Longet began a relationship with Olympic skier Spider Sabich in 1972 and they both engaged in the jet set party life of alcohol and drugs. The relationship turned sour and in 1976 Longet shot Sabich. This became a huge scandal that dominated the media. Longet's ex husband Andy Williams helped her get a good defense team. She was eventually convicted of a misdemeanor because of botched evidence. Longet eventually married her defense attorney who divorced his wife to marry her. The whole messy scandal can be read about online. I read that 70's SNL referenced the scandal and Longet in several parodies.
  18. Janice Lynde said that Victoria Mallory (Leslie #2) brought her daughter Ramona to her to study performing arts. Mallory felt Lynde was the only one she could trust to train her correctly and guide her in the right direction.
  19. Mart appears in swim trunks in this 1979 episode with Rita. I noticed this aired August 24. The Facts Of Life debuted on this same day.
  20. I wonder if they would have brought back Elizabeth and Jackie (from the dead)?
  21. I wonder how GL would have been if the Dobson's had returned to write after SB was cancelled?
  22. What about Rita Lakin? She wrote The Doctors in the late 60's and countless other stuff including Executive Suite, Peyton Place, and Flamingo Road.
  23. Was Roger's mother ever referred to as being deceased ? If not she could have been brought on canvas at some point. There are a lot of characters from the late 60's and early 70's that could have been revived or children of those characters. Like Janet and Ken Norris daughter Emily.
  24. Yes, I remember Richard Dawson kissing all the women/girls on Family Feud. In the 70's/80's men thought women found it flattering for them to come onto them. According to info on Bill Beutel he was married before Lynn and had 4 children. He and Lynn married in 1975 and must have been over by 1976. In 1977 he had remarried briefly for a third time for few months before divorcing again the same year. He remarried again for a fourth time in 1980 and was married to that wife till his death in 2006. He was 20 years older than Lynn when they were married.
