I was always thoroughly entertained by the reboot, and liked the nods they threw to the original series. I recommend it.

Messy, messy situation. I know soaps are fast-paced, but if you've hired a replacement, why try and still entice the current portrayer to stay? I get they may have wanted Sherry Stringfield to finish out the storyline, but I don't think hiring someone else while asking someone to stay is the right route, LOL. It is clear Krista Tesreau is synonymous to the role, but, based on everything I have seen, Kimberley Simms did the best in the role in terms of what could have been with Mindy. I could not have seen Tesreau work in the storylines Simms sold. Losing those three, especially Beverlee McKinsey, is a major loss for a soap opera like Guiding Light. And that should have been a glaring red light for P&G and CBS. Clearly, it was not. McKinsey knew what was up and I love how she outsmarted her executive producer with the "out" in her contract. That'll go down as the ultimate WIN in daytime, and you know every single executive producer made sure to be aware of what could go into those deals. She assumed wrong. Barbara Crampton is a good actress but, following Simms, she just was not Mindy in any sense of the word.

I like it... but the wrong creative is in-control of it.

I think her speaking out against the women is because she doesn't feel the support or attention others have gotten. She feels because Nancy Lee Grahn is so outspoken she should be able to speak in support of what she's experienced. And I understand that from Sarah Joy Brown's viewpoint. But Brown also understands Grahn needs to support her family; she just wishes the attention that former co-stars get in the press is what she could get for exposing the injustices she has faced for over 20+ years.

Because, from SJB's view, it did not make sense for Johnny to be Claudia's son, and it's why she's even more disgusted at the thought of them wanting her to play the incestuous relationship between the two.

Per what I can recollect (as it was late and honestly some fans really are tone deaf when talking to her), it went like this: SJB was up for auditioning for a role on Dexter, and Guza heard about what the character was and over a weekend completely came up with the idea of Claudia wanting to do "inappropriate" things with Johnny, and this upset her. So she went to Frons and talked about her previous experiences at ABC, et al, and they refused to change the storyline, so she decided to leave. This, on top of what Scott McKinsey did, is what soured her experience as Claudia, despite wanting to be there in that role. As for Nancy Lee Grahn & Vanessa Marcil, she's upset neither spoke out in support of her, but she also understands why some (like Grahn) cannot because they have their own families to support and think about. She also mentioned how she and Jacklyn Zeman fell out 20 years ago because she asked Zeman to support her and her claims, and Zeman declined. But that Zeman reached out a bit ago and she chose to forgive and just embrace Zeman, despite still wanting an apology for what went wrong.

Anyone have a glitch where it allows you to "rewatch" a film, but it cannot restart the film? Honestly, MAX is just really glitchy.

They should have just kept Margaret Michaels as Pam. Controversial, yes, but in those few scenes she shared with Ken Kercheval's Cliff, there was a chemistry there and she really channeled that quiet demeanor with some power behind it. But, I imagine, a long-term recast at that point would have been quite a choice, especially for a primetime series.

Per Brown, she always maintained it was Guza who made the choice for Claudia to have those thoughts about Johnny... but that she didn't know about the retcon of Johnny becoming Claudia's son until post-her exit and that she does not support the decision, especially given how close in-age she is with Brandon Barash, and she wouldn't have wanted to play it.

Per Brown, there was a stunt McKinsey made her perform and as a result, she suffered severe injury. I remember her telling the story before but cannot remember the exact details, but I think in the movement of the stunt she hit her head on the camera, and because of McKinsey making her to do the stunt, she's suffered long-term injury because of it. And how no one has reported on it nor spoken out against the people she's spoken out against.

I don't think TPTB knew how serious it was, honestly, because Pullos did not enter into treatment until the news broke about the accident. I can only imagine how stressful it might've been to find a last-minute replacement. Given how close tape-to-air they are right now... I don't think they knew. Sarah Joy Brown is on Twitter Spaces, stating she spoke out against Bob Guza & Scott McKinsey, about her upset with the assault by McKinsey and Guza turning Claudia into a child molester of her own child ("unnatural thoughts" per script), and after meeting with Brian Frons, it was decided she would exit.

Considering Kriegel and Mansi started, likely, on the same day, I'm guessing it was a last-minute recast. Mansi's casting was announced on Thursday, May 4, 2023, and it stated she had already begun filming. And Kriegel's casting was announced on Thursday, May 11, with Haley Pullos' arrest happening on Saturday, April 29. And since GH films on the same set for different episodes, and both Kriegel & Mansi were in Alexis' home set, I am guessing they were alerted on Monday, May 1 she wouldn't be there, and they scrambled for a last minute recast.

No friggin' way that is Courtney Grosbeck? Oh my goodness... she is stunning! Not at all the Coco I remember! Wow.... and Lindsay Arnold is someone else I imagined would work well in the role talent-wise.

Exactly. From my POV, the choice of Holiday Mia Kriegel was a very last-minute choice, given that both she and Kate Mansi began on the same day (days post-Haley Pullos' car accident), so I know it is not easy for her to jump into the role last-minute, and it is nothing against her (judging from Mansi's social media she and Kriegel have gotten close), but it would be my choice to recast the character with a more suitable replacement. But, who knows... maybe Kriegel will prove herself in the coming weeks...? I tend to give temporary replacements more wiggle room than permanent ones, especially since it appears TPTB had a limited window of time to replace Pullos for the shooting schedule.

It's clear the role of Kristina was recast with the intent of being in the storyline, so... plus, scripts are pre-written through July (I believe?), so it's a done deal, I would assume?
