  1. No, his vision most definitely wasn't. And I think that's why Jill Farrren Phelps did not EP the second Night Shift season.
  2. RIP Tina!
  3. I already see how a certain storyline is going to go.... predictable.
  4. The set is the old side-parlor from these two clips: The only updates were some paint and drapery changes. If you're thinking of this set: It's the brand-new Solarium.
  5. I wish it were longer, but this is catchy AF!
  6. To be honest, most west coast sets are nowhere near my top five to ten favourites in American daytime. I found east coast soaps excelled in that department, on top of the acting.
  7. They've always maintained that set, though, even dating back to when the main set (entry + parlor) was redesigned. It's not often used and, I'd rather it be updated, because those curtains just stand out like a sore thumb. I'd also love for the "crimson living room" to return. At least these modern renovations are better than when sets received darker paint jobs around 2012–2013, when the One Life cameras (non-HD) were introduced. I can imagine Monica watching HGTV and getting inspired for the mansion renovation.
  8. This second-go, while a continuation of the last stint, was a bit disappointing. But I do enjoy seeing Holly and the other vets⏤who should be pushing the canvas, honestly⏤and hope to see her return for another month-long stint soon!
  9. TMZ readers probably couldn't give two s**ts about the soap legacy.
  10. The writing on Night Shift was so good during the second season. Sri Rao understood what fans wanted to see, and provided it to us. It's a shame Disney-ABC never hired him, despite him wanting the position. I also believe Lisa de Cazotte was a wonderful executive producer for that season, as well.
  11. But, like my guess of Arvesen, Wanda De Jesus was there beyond three-months.
  12. Hmmm... I would have said Nina Arvesen, but she was there for longer than three months.
  13. The Young and the Restless has never shied away from going back into the archives. The fact they did it as much during the 2020 hiatus was shocking. Same with The Bold and the Beautiful. Probably also has to do with residuals of using actors no longer on the canvas, too.
  14. Well, they clearly did not go that route... because Allison Lanier is far from a blonde bombshell. And that is in no way an insult to her, but she does not fit the bill if that's what they had been looking for.
  15. Mhmm, and then stating she thought she made a mistake, but I don't think Martin did at all. 💯 And it shows as much when Corley returned for the two-part reunion special instead of Coleman.
  16. 2007: On The Young and the Restless, Nick was presumed dead in a plane crash; in reality, he was left stranded from the wreckage.
  17. It would, but I don't think daytime actors will strike. They'd be easily replaceable in the eyes of networks. "Oh, they want to strike? OK. Go find an out-of-work-nobody and hire them!"
  18. During the E! True Hollywood Story, Pamela Sue Martin admitted fame was a factor for her decision to exit the role of Fallon; she remarked and I quote (as best as I can): “Fame was a factor for me, because for me, that was this defining the sailing of point that was showing me I didn't have my life. It was somebody else's life and it disturbed me.” So Aaron Spelling, while heartbroken, released her to keep her happy. Joan Collins, on the other hand (in the episode), called her "stupid" and that she made a "big mistake". Al Corley quit because he felt he had done all he could with the role, and was also unhappy they were attempting to move Steven from a gay character to a more bisexual character, and that did not sit well with him as he wanted the Shapiros & co. to explore Steven as a gay man in a relationship with a man, so he opted to exit.
  19. It is, but it is also incredibly washing of what we've seen, even from a rag like TMZ. Haley Pullos deserves the criticism she's getting, especially after that really p*ss poor statement she made when the recast was announced. She was stupid. It is 2023. Take a ride share. It's no excuse putting your life and everyone else's life at risk by getting behind the wheel. I love that Tracy is never afraid to tell Carly off. That's why I'm so happy Jane Elliot is back right now.
  20. What is this... the fourth time in the past few years that he's been "out", and yet continues to appear?
  21. Well, this can be undone. It's been done before and it can be done again. Especially since it was a simple mention on the spin-off.
