  1. Oh God. At that point, write Sheila out AGAIN and keep her OUT! The mere fact Lauren was in Los Angeles and did not have any kind of Sheila-esque run-in was ridiculous.
  2. omg this moment will never not be hilarious... or the one where the woman trips INTO a slow-moving car's side mirror.
  3. It baffles me in a city where Carly, Drew AND Michael committed insider trading that Nina Reeves is the GUILTY party for reporting this to her lawyer, who then called the SEC on behalf of his client.
  4. Bradley Bell really thought he was doing something here, didn't he? LOL!
  5. Another upside of Wolf's regime (highly underrated and short-sighted). I vaguely remember those scenes, too!
  6. Not necessarily; my friend only has his father's surname, and that's it.
  7. Love seeing so many past talents speak out on the passing of Bill Hayes. That's how it should be (if one chooses to speak out).
  8. Wright is definitely the "popular girl in high school" as you so-well put it. And I think that has factored into the past regimes' writing of her in the past 10+ or so years. I've always advocated that Carly has become "untouchable" by anyone. She may receive a finger or two, but never a full hand. Last I can genuinely recall was Alexis calling her a "bitch" during the Wolf-era (right prior to the "writer"'s material coming in). There were some glimmers of it with Brenda's temporary return and the introduction of Kelly Sullivan's Kate (which should have lasted longer), but, since then... it just feels like "saint Carly" is what every writer has come to bring forth, and that is just not Carly. If anything, she should be perceiving herself as "saint Carly," while continuing to be served by other residents. It was cute seeing Liz reach out to Carly following Bobbie's passing, but their continued moments prior and after... it just isn't at the root of those characters. Same with Carly & Sam. Yes, people develop overtime, but this is also a soap opera where we can stretch that a bit. Even having Ava soften towards Carly feels so... off.
  9. I am so excited about this! Drew Barrymore & Kelly Clarkson are the two reigning queens of daytime talk, and I am so happy to see them both continue to shine with their respective talk shows! Plus, love seeing east coast productions returning!
  10. According to an article in Variety (written by Michael Maloney), Hayes will continue to appear as Doug through July 2024.
  11. Poor Elmo looks devastating about the snow! Haha.
  12. It does feel odd. I hope there is nothing involving foul-play or attempting to sell false information, re: COVID / vaccines, etc.
  13. Mhmm; it does make sense. Absolutely. I just think the overall tone towards Carly is a bit too soft for my liking, if that makes sense?
  14. But OMG there IS! We're all against her. You didn't know that? 🤣
  15. Started back on this soap.... after ditching it in June / July. Started back up in November 2023, and I have to say there are already improvements.
  16. 💯 Plus, I do feel like sometime within the last year they tried to re-write Carly back into the character she was when she came into town, but for so long she was written so differently it was... jarring. Plus, they fact they've made Carly "untouchable" is a problem. There is no dynamic, writing-wise, within the role and it shows. The problem is not Laura Wright: it's the writing for the character. Of course casting does change a character, to a specific point over time, but the core of a character shouldn't change, and it has with Carly within the last 10+ years as you've noted.
  17. Love seeing this love and am so happy seeing Adam Huss get more airtime. LOVE his Nikolas.
  18. 31 years ago the series finale aired. Shame. I think, if anything, debuting new scenic shots would've been cool.
  19. It's of my belief if Lucas were to come on full-time I doubt Ryan Carnes would be in the role. I'd love for Carnes to stick around (despite his views), but I just don't see it in the cards. And while controversial, I liked M att Trudeau in the role during the limited time he appeared. And I'd welcome Ben Hogestyn back into the role (though I doubt that would happen). I suspected they had moved from Aidan to Jake in terms of the sexuality storyline, but I am happy to be wrong. I, unlike some, do not hate Peter Porte, and wouldn't object to him joining. And from what I gather, Carnes had some big feelings, re: COVID, etc. which is likely why he did not return in 2020.
  20. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Even Deadline Hollywood cites he made appearances through 2023. Guess we wait to hear if he's due to appear again this year.
