Well, the talks were all between Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony & Apollo Global Management, and Skydance Media, with the latter being the selected party. As of now, the merger is off, but I am gathering it's off altogether, given they declined the deals proposed by the other parties.

TWO played Heather prior to Robin Mattson. Georganne LaPiere (sister to Cher) originated the role from 1976 to 1977; she was replaced by Mary O'Brien from 977 to 1979.

I, too, like the "dream" season.

It's a shame that move did not happen sooner, because I feel like the move was a smart one for the product of the soap.

It's absolutely not realistic. There are five possible outcomes that come off the top of my head (excuse me, just woke up after a long-ass work shift): Debuts hard and stays consistent. Debuts hard and plummets. Debuts hard, plummets and then sustains. Debuts soft, remains soft. Debut soft, rises and sustains. I think it's also going to depend on how much CBS promotes it, both during advertisements (hopefully primetime and daytime combined) and online word. I do think CBS may... payola some things, which I've always believed they have for their two current shows. But I do think the NAACP being involved is going to help it in the long term.

I agree; in watching clips, I've loved her take on Mindy and think so much more could have been done with her in the role had she stayed!

Same, and I think it has to do with Kelly Monaco's age and the type of relationship I am sure they share. Same. The missing generations of doctors is concerning, but Tree and Jaws were not the answer to that. Bring back a recast Lucas Jones, re-introduce Felix, see if Adam Grimes is up for reprising the role of Dr. Kyle Julian from Night Shift, and re-build up the hospital cast from there. Re-introduce a recast Maya Ward to the hospital staff, too. That would be the way for the Q's to be re-associated with the hospital, in terms of having a doctor on-staff, per the request of an ailing Monica.
