Deadline Hollywood notes he appeared through 2023. Does this mean the Christmas episode was his final appearance?

So true! I'm much more into the interim writing General Hospital bad, but so far there has been improvement at Days of Our Lives, and I am hoping TPTB upstairs at Days of Our Lives are paying close attention, and make the necessary changes.

Yup. That's true. And the others were not added until their characters died, as well (ie: Epiphany). The way the past few episodes were handled, via cast, was beautiful.

💯 They would only have to pay those not presently on the show, etc. and if anything, it would be Brad Maule, etc.

He's there; he is in episodic stills from the episode, as well as the collective shot released via People. I'm pretty sure he's sitting next to Kevin (and Laura).

Jamie Martin Mann follows Leo Howard so I don't know if it is necessarily a Tate recast. That would be disappointing if true.

IF they do bring out B.J. somehow and with Kirsten Storms back as Maxie, I would not be opposed to Nicole Paggi stepping into the role, given her temporary work as Maxie.

Yup. Little-to-no acting from [most] of the cast, and I love that.
