Maybe that was a typo. It should be Anne Tyler Martin. Do you supposed someone tried to OCR scan an old typed document and it couldn't read the lettering properly? I assume the Maryin was a typo for Martin. Maybe scanning turned "Tyler" into "St Cyr"? But that's unlikely. Anne, daughter of Dr. Charles Martin and Phoebe, was married to Joe Martin's brother Paul Martin. I found this cool page from something .... They tried typing or scanning it and accidentally typed Anne's brother as "Line" when it should be "Linc". While watching, I had a different browser tab open with the "Tolkien Gateway" (a Tolkien wiki). I used closed captioning because I need it. Each time a new character, place, or phrase is mentioned, I check TolkienGateway to see if it's an actual Tolkien thing or if was created for Amazon. I've read the books a zillion times in the past 40 years ... but it's been at least 10 years since my last reading, so I don't have everything memorized!

I was disappointed with the first ten episodes of Season three. The focus was Judge Lola Carmichael's love life. That could have been a side plot but they emphasized it too much. Sean Blackmore (who played Shawn Butler on GH) is the stud attorney who tries to tempt Lola to be unfaithful to her husband. His character got a lot of focus and the actor is "fine" looking and was all sexy and suave. It has been great to see Mr. Blakemore shine outside of GH! Even though he was seemingly written as a guest star, he was on camera enough - -and had "a magnetic presence" enough to be one of the leads. But that's not why I watch "All Rise". I don't watch it for soapy stuff! I watch soaps and legal shows for different reasons! Now they are on hiatus, but they will resume Season 3 later this year sometime with episode 11.

Wednesday Aug 31 -- FULL MATCH Serena Williams vs. Anett Kontaveit (the full two hours and 27 minutes). The US Open youtube channel uploaded the whole thing.

The focus so far is the developing evil. I don't really want to watch that at this time in my life. I suppose there will be victories of the Light but I don't know how much the series will show that. I need something about hope and universal spirit. So far the only character that seems really "off" from the books is Gil-Gilad. I think it might have worked with a better actor, but this actor doesn't seem to get it, so far.

I just watched. Over two episodes she's still swimming. It's taking her forever. Some ships and rafts pass by and she gets some respite. But she's still out st sea. She's only able to swim that far because she has a strong elf-body and a strong will. But she still hasn't reached shore. They are making the enormous distance evident. And yes it should be the distance of an ocean or half-ocean at least. It's supposed to be a near-impossible task and they're showing it that way.

According to THP ("The Hollywood Reporter"), Amazon was holding/suspending the reviews on the Amazon site to verify if they are reviews by viewers and not from groups of people who have racist agendas. Hollywood Reporter also said that despite the fact that Amazon owns IMDB, the reviews on IMDB were not being suspended. Quoting THP snippets: An Amazon source says reviews are being held 72 hours to help weed out trolls and to ensure each review is legitimate.
