Thanks… I love these glimpses of Joyce. Very fascinating person wrestling with her insecurities… feels like someone real. Who can’t relate to not being invited to a party you want to go to? There’s 4 minutes of Guiding Light at the end of the ‘78 ep. I recognize Mike and Elizabeth and Katie, but not the blonde guy in the suit or the two people at the very end.

How was the 2007 “Katie gets Storm’s heart” story? From reading basic details, it sounded interesting in bringing back Brooke’s family and being a meaty dramatic introduction for Heather Tom’s Katie.

Wow you're flashing back to 86/87! I started watching the original air in the 5th season, so I completely missed the Kenny/Ginger/Richard/Ciji/Chip era, and my local stations did not have syndicated reruns. I was desperate to know the story from the earlier years, so these books were heaven to me. Especially the first one - "Secrets of Knots Landing" was in a diary format, with journal entries from all the leading ladies, covering plot for season 1 through 4. Whereas books 2 and onward zoomed in to more detailed stories based on a specific season.

His China Beach role wasn't a huge one, but it was a great fit for him. Emotionally stunted military officer, unable to take responsibility for fathering a baby. I think we also see him in the "flash-forwards" twenty years later...? His daughter (who he has not claimed) seeks him out for a video project

Nikki and John were both at Traci and Brad's '91 wedding but she was a bit inebriated 🍸 and Jack tried to keep her away from everyone so they wouldn't notice Nikki and Jack had a gathering at the ranch New Year's Eve '92 (going into '93) that John and Jill attended. Just a passing moment... In summer '93, Nikki called Traci in New York a couple times to get Steve to read Cole's novel. They didn't form any bond, they only talked about Cole. That's all I can think of...
