The mix tape uploads have continued. We're now onto spring and fall 1988.

Robert was off the canvas twice in the mid-'80s. He left on Friday, Dec. 13, 1985, then came back on Monday, Sept. 22, 1986. He left again on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1987, then came back on Monday, June 1, 1987.

Was that the scene where Lisa said she wouldn't go even if Paul Newman & Robert Redford were her dates?

Two General Hospital actresses in the '90s: Kristina Wagner, sons born 1990 and 1994, resulted in Felicia's daughters Maxie and Georgie. Lynn Herring, sons born 1991 and 1993, resulted in Lucy's miscarried son with Scotty, then Serena.

I get that they're referencing the TV Guide cover, but I still feel like they did Juliet Mills dirty there.

It's a shame that Witt-Thomas and/or Witt-Thomas-Harris couldn't make it work with Lane. I liked what I saw of him on Good & Evil and in his guest spot on The Golden Girls. I wonder if he was up for David Rasche's role on Nurses.

I'll drink to that! He even made the "Regular Guy Look" somewhat presentable.

Found on Facebook today: Robert Tyler (when he was known as Barry Kaufman) modeling for JCPenney. The guy next to him is not Roger Howarth, but it kind of looks like him.

I still can't get over whatever the hell George Gaynes and Tony Geary were doing in the lead-up to Luke falling off Frank's yacht. Dueling affectations? Tony mocking George?

For that matter, Wayne coming back to Dynasty as Michael.

Allegedly, Kiberd crossed the line with his behavior towards and around Collins, and she was either going to file harassment charges or had done so. TPTB chose him over her. (That's the short summary.) Man, what does it say when 1996 Bobbie and Tony are closer than 1996 Luke and Laura? And one more.

I love a good group photo of whodunnit suspects. (Also, did anyone watching in 1992 really suspect Erica?)

For whatever reason, I falsely remembered Eric Martsolf playing the Jack Osbourne analogue, but that's not the case.

Great find! I think Andrea used that voice when she played "Sharon Boozebourne" in a dream sequence on Passions.

I think the show didn't try hard enough. Okay, so Susan didn't want to do love stories without Bill. Fine, write Julie as Salem's version of Auntie Mame. Okay, so Susan's not clicking with the young people she's interacting with. Try, try again -- there were still options for scene and storyline partners, like Bo (and Carly) or Jennifer (and Jack). Without anything that would make Julie interesting, she probably seemed like a redundancy with a canvas that already included Alice, Maggie, Caroline, and Jo Johnson.

Checking in on the mix tape episodes, which have now reached 1988 ... Lauren Holly was stunningly beautiful.

She had a funny line in the 30th anniversary coffee table book, about how she'd love to come back and play Dorian's long-lost sister, the one who's not crazy.

And it turns out I'm wrong on at least one item: Ruth did accept David's proposal at first. Ruth's back against the wall experience. Oh, what I'd give to see it.

Per the Pine Valley Bulletin page on Ruth: 1976 -- "At the hospital, Ruth befriended physician’s assistant, David Thornton. David openly flirted with Ruth. She smitten that a younger man had found interest in her. David revealed that he was in fact a surgeon. His tour in Vietnam had traumatized him to so much that he was afraid to continue in operate on anyone. Ruth helped him come to grips with his trauma. David told her that he could only be a doctor again if she was by his side. Ruth thought her marriage to Joe was over and decided to ask him for a divorce. The night Ruth was going to break the news to Joe, he was admitted to the hospital with appendicitis. David was the only person on call who could perform the surgery. Thinking she almost lost Joe, Ruth realized that she truly loved him and not David. They reconciled and promised to make their marriage work." Apparently Ruth came thisclose to breaking up her marriage to Joe, but she wasn't actually engaged to David. We'll have to see if more specific recaps reveal otherwise.

Joe and Ruth Martin, All My Children. They were married in April 1972 and stayed on the show until January 2010, with returns after that. So just under 38 years, or more than 40 if we'll allow the Prospect Park version.
