Here's another one - OLTL's Marty. She was fascinating no matter what she was doing (at least during her first stint in 1992-97). She went from a troublemaker to a heroine, and I loved every minute of it. Susan Haskell was brilliant no matter what facet of Marty she was playing.

She WAS the show, especially in the very beginning. Maybe the first time she wasn't in an episode is when she had a baby in real life?

I know for sure the new "Somewhere in the Night" opening was pushed back a week due to the Challenger preemptions, so that makes sense.

Lauren Marie Taylor did have kind of an unconventional look for a young soap ingenue, but she also looked literally like the girl next door (especially in the 1980s). She looked relatable.

Yes, Mac always got the short end of the stick. At the time, I wanted to see a Laura/Mac alliance (but not romance) to get back at their respective wayward spouses.
