Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
Zohra La Rousse's YT channel has about 10-12 new episodes up, but I think only about half of them are in English: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3jq7uJ2aZH03JYheLDLbAw/videos?shelf_id=20&sort=dd&view=0

Speaking of Marcy Walker, which role did you all like her better in - AMC's Liza Colby or SB's Eden Capwell?

GH: Classic Thread
Danielle Von Zerneck (Lou) said on FB that she was given the lamest death scene ever to play (at the hands of Elissa Leeds' Steffi), and having seen it, I have to agree. If she had been pushed down the stairs like so many other soap characters had in the past, it would have made much more sense. But then, when I think of DVZ, I don't think of her as Lou on GH, I think of her as Donna Ludwig in La Bamba.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Thanks for sharing those. I've always thought Susan Haskell is one of the great underrated beauties in the soap world. Not only is she a phenomenal actress (not for nothing does she have two Emmys under her belt), but she's got that gorgeous hair and such a beautiful face. No wonder Thorsten fell for her both on- and off-screen!!!

Primetime Soaps
I thought ATWT was her first gig. I guess one really does learn something new every day. LOL

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
I saw that episode and she was GREAT!! To me, she's one of the most memorable SVU guests I've seen. Yes, the episode was "Downloaded Child".

It's a scary thought, isn't it? LOL

That sounds like something out of The Twilight Zone or Tales From the Crypt - or a Stephen King story. LOL

I hear that. Irna was also a notorious hypochondriac, according to the DAYS trivia book by Gerry Waggett, which I wasn't surprised to hear after reading a little about her life and her life in soaps (Rosemary Prinz was certainly not an Irna fan). Can you even imagine if Twitter had been around when Irna was alive??? Wow.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
According to some soap book I read awhile back (can't recall the name of it now), Irna was going to have Liz burn to death in her honeymoon suite on her wedding night. P&G nixed that because one of their other soaps (EON, I believe) was going to be running a similar plot. Then the recast, then the falling UP the stairs. Say what you want about Irna, but her stories were never boring!! Sadly, she didn't seem to know (or care) the difference between fact and fiction (like insisting on calling the actors on her shows by their character names). Didn't she pass away not long after the firing by ATWT in the early 70s?

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Thanks for sharing those clips! I looked it up and she did indeed write for ATWT in the early 90s. Ms. Spencer also wrote for AW and AMC (as previously mentioned), promoted to script writer on the latter after working as a story consultant, a script writer on DAYS and GL, and a breakdown writer on GH and OLTL (also serving as OLTL's interim headwriter the last few months of 1999).

Another World Discussion Thread
Thanks, everyone. It was before my time and so little of it is on YT, so it's nice to hear your feedback. I DID see the scene where Rachel admits on the stand that Mac did not father baby Matt, and Mac is totally devastated. I heard it also won Doug Watson the Emmy that year, and rightfully so.

Texas! Discussion Thread
OK, thanks!!! It seems that in its brief run (not even two and a half years), there was quite a bit of turnover in the writers/producers.

Wow, I thought Gillian Spencer was the only actress to play Jennifer. I had no idea she was a recast.
