  1. Nope, never heard of him. Sorry.
  2. Yeah, it's kind of hard to tell. A lot of them don't even have this show on their imdb pages that I could see.
  3. God rest her. What a career!!
  4. I didn't even know David Sederholm was on Texas - this was obviously before his run on RH. Maybe he was an extra? An under-five?
  5. This cast list for Texas on the Another World Home Page might help: http://www.igs.net/~awhp/spinoff2.html
  6. I know. He was a leading man who was good-looking, charming, and full of fun. Yet he could play the heartbreaking scenes equally well. Wherever he is and whatever he is doing today, I hope Mr. Eplin is happy and healthy.
  7. I haven't heard that one. But Elissa told me that she loved Lynne Adams and preferred her over Barbara Rodell (her predecessor in the role of Leslie). Of course, Elissa had left GL several years before Lynne did. She said it was hard to play the adoring daughter to Don Stewart, and required real acting.
  8. Does anyone know whatever happened to Jennifer Harmon? It seems that she dropped off the face of the earth after her stint as the last (?) Cathy Craig on OLTL.
  9. I missed that. How does she look? I thought she had cut and/or dyed her hair some time ago.
  10. Thanks for sharing KLS's thoughts.
  11. Even though it wasn't a soap, I love that full-page ad for Scarecrow & Mrs. King. I'd love to see Bruce Boxleitner in a successful primetime role again.
  12. Thank you, robbwolff. I stand corrected. Per imdb and Wikipedia (not always the most reliable sources, I know), both Jada Rowland and Nancy Barrett were born in 1943 (JR on February 23, NB on October 5). Then, as we all know, JR joined the cast of The Doctors in 1976 and remained there until the show ended in 1982.
  13. Pat #3 was SCARY. He just seemed so angry and mean - the total antithesis of the easygoing, playful Pat #1 (Malcolm Groome) and the soft-spoken, sweet and gentle Pat #2 (John Blazo). It's not hard to see why he lasted less than three months - and why the character was sent away until they lured Malcolm Groome back to the show.
  14. Is ANY of this soap available ANYWHERE? Last I checked on YT - nada. Were any of the master tapes saved, or were they all erased and recorded over? Who owned the show?
  15. That makes sense, and it seems that his soap gigs didn't last long, so it's not a surprise if he did get the shows mixed up. Plus, both taped in NYC.
  16. I agree!! Plus, I felt like they were REAL. (Other than the New Stailand plot, which was beyond stupid and Richard Eden has gone on record as hating it.) After they were married, when someone rang the doorbell, the house was in somewhat of a disarray - regular clutter like clothes yet to be folded and put away. Later on, Amy had the vacuum cleaner out and was explaining to baby Johnny how it worked (when was the last time you saw a vacuum cleaner on a soap that wasn't being used by a maid/butler?). Brick defended Amy's honor when her ex Jeff hassled her several times (decking him each and every time), and was there for her throughout her pregnancy with everything from moral support to foot massages. In turn, Amy was there for Brick when Augusta Lockridge framed him for embezzlement, and then when Minx's big secret came out and turned the world as Brick knew it upside down. They were friends at first (though smitten with each other from the start), who trusted and respected each other. The rest of the Perkins family (the surviving members, anyway) loved him right from the beginning, as did Brick's presumed parents, Katie and Glenn Wallace with Amy. Minx, Lionel, Sophia, Eden, Kelly and Ted all loved Amy, too, as they'd already known her for quite some time. Even though I would have loved to see their love story continue (and with hindsight being 20/20 with Richard Eden having next to nothing of substance in his last year on the show, it would have been nice if they had left the show together with Amy, Brick, Johnny and maybe a new bun in the oven leaving Santa Barbara for bigger and better adventures), I'm glad they didn't recast Amy. Kerry Sherman had a girl-next-door quality to her, with a raspy voice that would become a trademark later for actresses like Demi Moore and Angie Harmon. She was down-to-earth and very pretty, but not in an unapproachable, supermodel-like way. Kerry was very unique, and I think it would have been hard to replicate those qualities she brought to Amy in another actress. Likewise, I'm glad they never recast Brick when Richard Eden left the following year. He brought an intensity to the character that I don't think could have been replicated. Today, Richard and his wife, Shannon, write and produce independent short films. Here is a photo of them at the Robocop movie premiere earlier this year: http://www.starpulse.com/Actors/Eden,_Richard/gallery/KHI-000628/ Meanwhile, Kerry Sherman, who now goes by her married name of Kerry English, is the mother of three grown children and is a licensed family therapist with a practice in Burbank, which is just about a mile away from the NBC Studios where SB taped and where her SB sister Missy Reeves still works - on DAYS. Honestly, this lady has not aged a bit. Look at her! http://www.kerryenglish.com/about
  17. Yes, Joseph Bottoms was perfect as the sleazy ambulance chaser. (Honestly, could Kirk have been anything else BUT a lawyer? LOL) Pre-SB, he played a Jewish man forced on the lam in the acclaimed 1978 miniseries Holocaust, which starred Michael Moriarty, Meryl Streep and James Woods in the lead roles. Mr. Bottoms did a very credible job. These days, he runs an art gallery in his hometown of - Santa Barbara!!!!
  18. Kirk the Jerk Cranston!!! I loved that little running joke that had random people calling him "Mr. Capwell". "It's CRANSTON!!" LOL
  19. Shawn Stevens also has an authorized fan page on FB that he organized himself. He has nothing but good things to say about Sherry Mathis - saying what a lovely person she was both inside and out, and how much she is missed.
  20. Anne Howard Bailey also was headwriter at Santa Barbara, which resulted in co-creators Bridget and Jerome Dobson being locked out of the studio when they tried to fire her - and leading to lawsuits to and from NBC AND New World Productions, which owned the show. It's amazing things stayed as top-notch onscreen as long as they did with all that turmoil going on with the Dobsons. But yeah, THREE headwriters in little over a year. Yikes. No wonder there was no sense of consistency.
  21. I know! It's like, what show DIDN'T he appear on? LOL
  22. OK, thanks. I was surprised by the sheer amount of credits on his imdb page. WOW!!
  23. You're welcome!! That scene where Stone and Robinette get Elizabeth's character and her son to turn against their husband/father is a gem.
  24. I did some digging around, and Bernice Munson was portrayed by a white actress named Kelly Houston. She was indeed paired up with Larry Fishbourne's Josh Hall in 1976. Ms. Houston wrote a touching tribute to Al Freeman Jr. after his passing. For some reason, the site won't let me post the link, but her comments were posted on a website called blackthespian.com, after an article announcing Mr. Freeman's passing. So go there, or google it, and you'll see what she had to say.
