  1. Also, thank you, robbwolff, for confirming the debut of the new (and final) theme. I remember reading that because of pre-emptions due to the nationwide news coverage of Challenger tragedy, the new theme sequence ended up debuting on a Wednesday instead of Monday as originally scheduled.
  2. I believe some of them are still up. Just go to YT and type "search for tomorrow flood" in the search box.
  3. I think the flood is also right when they began the new opening sequence and theme song (Bill Chinnock's "Somewhere in the Night").
  4. I think the flood of 1986 was supposed to be the start of a giant revamping, but the show was cancelled before the year was out.
  5. Cool - I love Sherry's glasses, by the way.
  6. Thanks for posting the article and also the episodes. The way Laura Malone (Blaine) was treated by the AW/P&G brass after not losing weight "fast enough" after having a baby was just disgusting. Happily, she eventually found a fulfilling career in law.
  7. Good for her. You'd never see Abby doing that, even for a good cause.
  8. Yes, Dorian Lopinto (now Dorian Meehan) in her pre-Samantha Vernon (OLTL) days!!
  9. She had already been on GH a few years before they introduced Laura, right?
  10. Thanks for sharing your memories of the storyline. For some reason, I can't imagine Denise Alexander in a plot like that, but good an actress as she has always been, I'm sure she did just fine. Seems like both Susan and Eric could have used counsel from Dr. Kroger!!! (For those who aren't familiar with Monk, Dr. Kroger was the psychiatrist of the title character and played by Stanley Kamel.)
  11. OK, then I guess that makes sense. Thanks!
  12. OK, thank you for clarifying that!!!
  13. Thanks. Question - when Liza hooked up with Lloyd, was he still being played by Peter Haskell or had Joe Lambie taken over by that point?
  14. At which point did AOL stop running the SFT episodes? Which storylines were going on then?
  15. Thanks for posting this!! I always love seeing these treasures!!
  16. I remember the whole year of 1996 was panned by SOD. Of course, 1997 didn't start off any better when ATWT unceremoniously dumped Allyson Rice and replaced her with Susan Batten. P.S. SoapDope, check out the SFT board - there's a real treat that Carl posted that I know you'll love!
  17. I noticed that she stepped in as Faith in 1979, the same year Karen Morris wed Curt Gowdy, Jr. Did Ms. Justice sub as Mrs. Morris-Gowdy was getting married/honeymooning? Does anyone know?
  18. Thank you for posting that, Carl!! This is the first page of the Sherry Mathis article - and I forgot to send it to Carl with the other pages. Hope everyone enjoys!!!
  19. Those 70s episodes continue to impress. John McCook is another who has aged very gracefully. If ever anyone personifies the word "debonair" on daytime, it is Mr. McCook.
  20. Thanks! Ironic that an actress endorsing Palmolive would be airing on a soap aired by P&G. LOL Was this before The Doctors debuted?
  21. I agree. I would have taken Kentucky over Lloyd (all three of them) and Hogan anytime. He seemed like a character who would be great with kids, so it would have been great to see him with TR and Tourneur. Plus, he was so different from the two great loves of her life, Steve and Travis, yet he had his own unique charm. Does anyone know what the last airdate was of Rod Arrants and the first of Will Patton's?
