  1. I remember reading in SOD back when Molly and Nikki were recast that they should have switched actresses - as the actress playing the new Nikki looked a lot more like Lesli Kay than Christina Chambers!!
  2. God rest her. It was because of Diana's husband, who worked in the publishing industry, that her WTHI co-star Louise Shaffer was able to get her career as a novelist underway. Of course, both were on RH (Diana as two separate characters!!) but at different times.
  3. I wonder how she is doing these days, since Mr. Bua has passed. They were a wonderful couple and their long marriage has been an inspiration for many.
  4. Never mind - I watched a few more clips and remembered that Chad's supposed birth documents were in that statue, which looked like a goofy wooden parrot. I laughed out loud when I saw it. It looked like something my grandparents would have brought back from their many trips around the world.
  5. I know!! Who was minding the store???
  6. Bring back Alex Eames!!! She guested on SVU a couple of times after CI bit the dust. She's already a LT, so that probably won't happen since Liv will probably take and pass the LT exam. But we can dream!! Benson and Eames would be like the L&O universe's Cagney and Lacey. LOL I think Danny Pino chose to leave, and it's quite possible because of burnout. His 4 seasons on SVU were almost immediately preceded by 7 seasons on Cold Case, and it seemed that Amaro was basically the same as Scotty Valens. Maybe they should have made him an ADA instead, just to shake things up a bit. Plus, he lives in LA so he doesn't have to do the commute to NYC anymore. I love Raul Esparza and Barba!!! He really is a very charismatic performer, but the material he was given this past season was very thankless. Probably his best courtroom scenes this year were in "Pornstar's Requiem", which aired in October. Your description of Carisi as the show's Cousin Oliver is too funny - and so true. Even his co-workers shoo him away like a gnat. They really need to get new writers for Season 17 or just call it a day. They haven't done anything the past few seasons that they haven't done better before.
  7. In that picture, Billy looks more like Cary Elwes as Westley in The Princess Bride!!!!
  8. Thankfully - in both of today's reruns, we get a break from Mike, Nancy and the sax. Finally!!!
  9. I didn't even recognize Pam Toll at first!! Wow, she did change after she left TD.
  10. A 30 FOOT fan letter? Holy cow!!!
  11. Interesting! I like interviews with the folks behind the camera, to see what made their collective minds tick.
  12. Thanks for filling me in on Virginia Vestoff's run on DS. I can't even imagine anyone else as TD's Althea but Liz Hubbard, but I'll keep an open mind and see what VV did in the role.
  13. You know, I was watching parts of some early eps on YT just for fun - and I had completely forgotten about that stupid bird statue. I don't even remember what was in it, or if we even saw it (it was referred to almost as much as TC's shed, now that I think of it). Does anyone else remember?
  14. Thank you so much. Do you mind if I pass along the interview to Maree on FB? I think she'd get a kick out of it.
  15. Virginia Vestoff should be showing up soon in the reruns of The Doctors on Retro TV. Right now they are in the April 1969 episodes, and with two episodes a day, we're rapidly approaching the end of Liz Hubbard's first stint as Dr. Althea Davis Bellini, at which point Ms. Vestoff took over for about a year. Then Liz Hubbard came back in 1970 and Ms. Vestoff joined DS. What exactly was the arc of VV's character Samantha Collins? I admit I don't know a lot about the last year of DS.
  16. It does sound like a great, campy storyline...with some satire thrown in!!!
  17. Whatever happened to the two actresses who played Nicole after Maeve left?
  18. Thanks for the info about USA. I recently read that Don May was fired in 1977 - all this time I thought he had quit. Why did they let him go? Did Maeve McGuire choose to leave of her own accord later that year, or was she fired, too (and thus her character was de-aged)?
  19. I'd like to read the Liza and Travis wedding bells article if you can find it - also page 108 about Maree Cheatham talking about Stephanie and being sexy!!! Thanks!!!
  20. Since seeing that clip and remembering the original NBC run of the show (I can't believe it's been almost 16 years now since it debuted. Where does the time go?), it seems like so many of the cast, many of whom stayed till the bitter end or pretty close to it - have simply vanished. I know that Justin Hartley recently joined the cast of Y&R, Galen Gehring and Eric Martsolf have been on DAYS the past few years, Eva Tamargo is in the cast of The Haves and Have Nots, and Jesse Metcalfe and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have had some primetime success, but whatever happened to people like Taylor Anne Mountz, Molly Stanton, and even veterans like Dana Sparks, Kim Ulrich, Ben Masters and Rodney Van Johnson?
  21. I don't like the thing with Mike, either (especially with the annoying sax music) - but like the others, I like Nancy when she is working with her patients, consulting with the other members of the staff, and when she was working with Anna. Actually, Nancy Donohue to me looked like Anne Bancroft - and The Graduate still would have been a pretty popular movie back then.
  22. Thanks for posting those. How long did USA air the reruns?
  23. Did anyone else see Christina Chambers play Jaclyn Smith in that NBC-TV movie about Charlie's Angels? It was...interesting.
