  1. I imagine it will be like a James Stenbeck moment when Townsend meets Liz again. Instead of "HELLO, BARBARA", it will be "HELLO, MELISANDE"!!!
  2. Didn't Lisa Brown return for the final episodes of GL?
  3. Cool. I wonder which Dr. Coleridge he was asking for. ;-)
  4. Ralph Purdum was on GL, too? Wow.
  5. Phillip Townsend III has escaped from the mental hospital and has made his way back to Hope Memorial. Yes, he is still played by Ralph Purdum.
  6. Ilene Kristen would be in another "Saints vs. Sinners" week on FF.
  7. Somehow, I can see her character doing that...
  8. Oh, my goodness...that actually sounds like something Marian might have done. LOL
  9. Maybe they should have cast him as a lawyer, a cop - something a bit different. Funnily enough, he had a short arc on Dallas a few years later - playing, what else? - a doctor.
  10. They both look terrific. Whatever they have been doing to barely age, it obviously works!!
  11. Thank you, cassadine1991, for clarifying.
  12. I miss the old charity softball games between soap casts. I remember one in the late 90s at Yankee Stadium for ALS research (Michael Zaslow was still alive then and was there to watch the game) with stars from various NYC soaps.
  13. Thanks - I don't think the scans are bad at all!! I have quite a few SB cast member autographs. Many of them have since left show biz for the most part, but it didn't make me any less excited to hear from them. The only SB people I have written to and have yet to get a response from are Marcy Walker and Kerry Sherman - and I doubt if I will, especially in the case of the former. I tried writing to Kerry back in 2013 and tried again several months ago, but no dice. Oh well, you can't win 'em all!! I hope everyone will enjoy them - especially what may very well have been the last autograph to a fan given by the late Dane Witherspoon.
  14. I'm not surprised to hear that, as Retro TV is currently running the episodes of The Doctors (which of course starred the actor who played Andrew Jackson to Fran's Rachel Jackson, Gerald Gordon) co-written by Rita Lakin and the aforementioned Rick Edelstein. He then moved on to primetime, and one of the shows he worked extensively on, both as a writer AND a director, was Starsky & Hutch!!! Allan Miller guested on four episodes of that show. If you can post or transcribe any of those articles, I would love to read them. Fran is also the one who integrated the "boys' club" (Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Richard Hunt, Jerry Nelson, Caroll Spinney) of Muppeteers, as she was the first woman on the show to join their ranks. I wonder how she juggled her HTSAM schedule with Sesame Street. Of course, with both shows taping in NYC helped. I'm sure her work with the Muppets helped counter the tears she shed on the soap!!!
  15. Thanks. You may have to start a new thread titled "all" because I couldn't find a current similar thread. Lewis Arlt also directed soaps, IIRC. So did Susan Flannery, Don Scardino and David Forsyth.
  16. Love it!! Hey Carl, do you think you can post the article next to it, about soap actors making the transition to soap writers? I would love to read it. Thanks!!!
  17. Sweet!! Is it OK if I share the first article on FB with A, Nicolas and Shell?
  18. I know Susie Horgan and Thom Racina wrote OLTL 2.0 - who wrote the reboot of AMC?
  19. He was indeed on today's first episode, as Officer Stefano (ha) takes Penny back to the Bellini/Davis apartment and her frantic parents. Carl, you might want to take some screen caps of that scene as it is an "indoor" set where the lighting is much better and his face can be seen more clearly. I was half-expecting him to kidnap Althea and keep her in a cage with the people of the night running around. LOL
  20. I DVR'ed the Knight Rider episode myself. Did you record it off Cozi TV, too? There were two other soap names in that episode - Catherine Mary Stewart (Kayla Brady #1, DAYS) playing GG's daughter, and off course the Hoff himself, a Y&R alum. Michael Fairman was on Y&R himself a few years ago - but then, what show HASN'T he been on? Ever seen his imdb page? Wow!!! Check your PMs because there's something I think you'd like to see. Always fun to hear your thoughts.
  21. Thanks!! You're right - I now remember seeing promos for it while I would watch 48 Hours.
  22. Until ABC once again got in the way. Then again, Prospect Park had nothing but problems from the very start - not necessarily from a creative standpoint, but from outside forces.
