  1. Definitely. Too bad TIIC have never realized (or cared) that the audience is almost always smarter than they give them credit for.
  2. No problem. Yes, I remember that Eden was kidnapped and left for dead by Peter. Cruz rescued her (I think that was the first of millions of times that he rescued her).
  3. I'm pretty sure that she did have to sleep with him while he held her hostage, but I haven't seen those scenes in a long time (mostly I remember her hideous pink nightgown). @Wendy, do you remember?
  4. I happen to love Sherry as Liza, but I can see your point of view. Her Liza often WAS on the verge of hysteria. The only other Liza I ever saw was Louan, so I can't judge Sherry by her predecessors.
  5. Actually, Kelly was forced into sex by her violent, delusional ex-fiance Peter Flint (aka the Carnation Killer). That was in early 1985 and he kidnapped her when she was on her honeymoon with Joe Perkins. Those scenes were very disturbing.
  6. My brother, who is 35, is a fan of jazzy music and loves "Rise". He has absolutely no idea of the GH connection to the song. He just likes the song.
  7. Have any of you read Ronan Farrow's book? Is it worth a read?
  8. I think "disgusting" is too kind a word. That was just nasty.
  9. That makes him sound like a cat or dog. 😂
  10. As far as I know - Sophia, Augusta, and Santana off the top of my head.
  11. Thanks for all the info, and for clarifying how PFS wrote the story. I didn't know all that.
  12. They could have aged Clarice's kids as well. Maybe Robert could have died offscreen (since Nic Coster was in LA on SB), and his and Clarice's son would have been immediately thrust into running the company and dealing with other corporate intrigue.
  13. Definitely. Louise Sorel will always have my undying respect for being willing to risk her job for speaking out.
  14. I know you're right, but did any fans write in and complain, or did any columnist take GH to task? This week marks the 40th anniversary of the day the rape was originally aired. I was only a month old at the time, so I have no memory of it or what the public reaction was back then. I've seen some clips on YT of Laura's group therapy sessions and how triggered she was every time "Rise" (which was one of 1979's biggest hits) would play. To think that it was a woman writer and a woman producer who set that story into motion is disturbing...and disgusting. What a slap in the face to so many real-life victims.
  15. I would be heartbroken. At least Jed eventually landed SB. Most of them didn't work in daytime (or show biz altogether) again.
  16. It is very disturbing, especially in light of the fact that Eden's rape was so graphic. It's even more disturbing because MW was pregnant in real life when they filmed those scenes (a double did the most physically taxing stuff). It's disturbing that SB chose to write so many rape stories, but that's another rant for another day.
  17. I have to wonder if anyone at ABCD back then thought that this was a bad idea, or if anyone objected. Didn't anyone consider what type of message they were sending?
  18. How were Clarice and Larry written out? Did Gail Brown and Rick Porter chose to leave or were they fired? (I know they both came back for Mac Cory's funeral in 1989, and she came back for Ada Hobson's funeral in 1993.)
  19. Also: Jennifer Houlton became a writer, and has also directed and produced several short films. Frank Telfer was one of Jay Leno's stock performers on The Tonight Show for many years, appearing in many sketches as various politicians. Jada Rowland became a full-time painter and children's book illustrator.
  20. From Daylight TV Yearbook 1978-79:
  21. Would it have been so hard to come up with a name that doesn't rhyme with a slang term for vomit? Camille was played by Schuyler Grant, fondly known to me and many others as Diana Barry in the Anne of Green Gables movies. She deserved better than what she got from AMC.
  22. Not to mention Luke before them.
  23. Sheryl was sexually abused as a child and then raped as an adult, and has always been very open on the subject when it comes up. She is absolutely right about grooming.
