  1. You know, I didn't make this clear. The second set in and of itself was just fine. I just didn't like it for this show.
  2. I've never been a regular B&B viewer, but I've seen enough of both to completely agree with you. Plus, RM's Ridge was sooooo believable as a mama's boy. Susan F was already off the show when TK came on, right?
  3. OK - I thought it was just me!! McKenzie was actually 22 when the show debuted...she was born in April 1977.
  4. Has McKenzie had work done on her face or was it just her rather heavy makeup that made her look so different? Maybe it's because I haven't seen her since the show ended. She looks so different.
  5. Nice...thank you!!!
  6. During lockdown, I found RH (on YouTube) very comforting. Though mine is an essential job, it was so relaxing watching the Ryans, Coleridges, etc. while winding down after a tough day. That little Irish bar, the Ryans' living quarters upstairs from the bar and the Coleridge brownstone were so cozy to me. The family dynamics - especially when they faced adversity - rang a deeper chord when going through such challenges in real life.
  7. I haven't watched it yet, but Alan put a good group together. It should be fun!!
  8. Exactly right. It's one thing to have a conservative panelist who is a strong debater...it's another to have a conservative panelist who has supremely thin skin, a temper that can materialize at the drop of a hat and no impulse control. It's one thing to have a conservative panelist who is passionate about the issues of the day...it's another to have a conservative panelist who takes every little thing personally. It would also be nice to have a conservative panelist who wears normal clothes and has normal hair, and doesn't post selfies every minute of the day!! 😉
  9. That is good news. Meanwhile, this is what has worried me for weeks: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/07/09/politics/justice-department-trump-warning/index.html
  10. I read the AW bible at AWHP and was completely sucked in. It's always been fascinating to me how what is written in an original presentation is often different from what goes on the air. Most of the AW characters presented in the original bible were either demarginalized or phased out that first year. I wonder what the show would have ultimately been like had they stuck more to the original vision.
  11. From your description, she probably was. All I have seen and heard of GH in the 1960s and early 1970s (which admittedly isn't much), it seems that the acting was very straightforward. It was drama, not melodrama. Plus, John Bernadino hadn't really been a pro actor for all that many years when cast on GH. He had been a pro baseball player. It's hard to imagine anyone else as Dr. Steve Hardy.
  12. They wouldn't even have had to go the plastic surgery route...plenty of actors have returned to soaps playing different characters, most not changing their appearances.
  13. There you go! Someone should put a bug in his ear - and in GH's!! 😊
  14. I like that idea, and I think he and Genie would be an inspired pairing. Is Robert Newman based in LA now or is he still living on the East Coast?
  15. You're right - hence the reason why Jerry Springer, Geraldo and Maury lasted so long.
  16. Who could you see playing Tom? I know Matt Ashford is on DAYS again, but he never seems to stay there too long. I am stymied.
  17. I don't even understand what the point of that story was supposed to be. Couldn't they have introduced Sam in a less convoluted way? Yes, I realized I just answered my own question!! 😂
  18. I'm honestly surprised that she's still on the air. She honestly seems to have an axe to grind with a great many people.
  19. Wasn't Audrey's son, Tom, being groomed as a leading man for some time? Despite being the son of a legacy character, Tom never seemed to have the relevance of other male characters of the time like Robert Scorpio or Sean Donnelly.
  20. It's nice to see Vivica Fox and Jordana Brewster fondly recalling their soap days. 😊
