I wonder why they didn't. SFT wasn't a ratings winner - but wasn't AW still doing reasonably well then?

They couldn't do anything about MW walking at the end of her contract in 1991, but their HUGE mistake was firing Carrington Garland. She could easily have carried the show's leading lady mantle (along with NLG) the rest of the way.

I hate that they have to bend over backwards to that sniveling coward, but you're right.

Do you think that the only way he'll see any prosecution is with the NYC people and his business dealings? Or will he wiggle his way out again? We'll never again have any peace in this country until that orange beast is dead - and maybe not even then. P.S. I want to throw shoes through the TV every time Joe Manchin is on. He's a sniveling coward, along with nearly the entire Republican Party. They all make me sick. There is no justice in this country anymore. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I agree - and I loved E&C. It just seemed like they put all their eggs in one basket.

Yes. I have DVR'ed it since 2016 and have deleted it without watching for weeks. They've had male guest co-hosts for the better part of a month. I say put this thing out of its misery already.

Those wedding episodes were great. I know I'm in the minority, but I loved those 1800s style gowns!!!

I really can't add to what everyone else has already said. I am beyond livid and incensed. @marcelineand I can take away the fact that one of the six R senators who voted in favor of the commission was Ohio's Rob Portman. He announced months ago that he will not run for reelection in 2022, much like Pat Toomey of PA. At least Portman actually showed up to vote yes, unlike Toomey. All of the Republicans in both the Senate and the House who voted against this commission are nothing but feckless, sniveling, traitorous and hypocritical cowards. McConnell and McCarty are the worst. History will remember them, and not with kisses and flowers. 😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

And of course, he was also censured by the Ohio Republican Party for saying the same things that got Liz Cheney kicked out of leadership. But I digress. Anyway, @marceline, here's a kind of interesting story about one of your former Reps. In the late 1990s, my dad was teaching at the now-defunct Regina High School in South Euclid. He was at some event for the school and Stephanie Tubbs Jones happened to be there. Someone introduced the two of them, and after exchanging pleasantries, Ms. Tubbs Jones asked him if he'd voted for her. My dad said no, because he lives in Lake County. She was persistent and ended up asking him if he'd work on her campaign (she was up for reelection then). My dad got so uncomfortable that he excused himself and wasn't comfortable again until she left.

Brenda Brock (Brenda McGillis Grande) now lives in RI and owns an organic beauty supply company. I recently wrote to her and not only did she autograph the photos I sent, but she sent me a box of her Farmaesthetics beauty products! Watercress eye gel, a bar of saltwater bath soap, Cool Aloe Body Mist and Nourishing Lavender Milk lotion. I was so touched! It's going to be fun trying these products out.

Yes! So did another Republican representing Cleveland - Anthony Gonzalez.

The View
I watch to hear what the other ladies have to say, not MM. I either mute the TV or FF when she talks, mainly because I can't handle her screeching. When a good percentage of your audience tunes in every day hoping she won't be on, that's usually not a good sign.

As a lifelong Northeast Ohioan, I certainly don't care what a Californian thinks about one of our races. This is @marceline's district in Cleveland at stake. She's in Cuyahoga County, and I'm her next door neighbor to the east in Lake County. My district is represented by Dave Joyce, and the only good thing I can say about him is that he was one of the 35 House Republicans who voted in favor of the 1/6 Commission.

True story - this morning as I drove to church, I spotted the license plate of a car going the other way. It read "TRUMP D". I wanted to pull over somewhere and hurl. Never, ever will I understand why people choose to ally themselves to that monster. Never, ever, ever. 😢😡

I actually liked the show a lot, but guessing by the ratings I was in the minority. YMMV.

Do you all think Biden/Harris should be speaking up more about what the GOP is doing? Schumer so far seems too passive. The Dems have the majority but sure don't act like it. They need to push back much more against The Big Lie before it's too late.

That is sad news. Being a Clevelander and Cleveland Indians fan, I remember well the domestic violence charges she faced against her then-husband, Chuck Finley. It really wasn't known to the public at that point that she struggled with addiction. I feel for her daughters and hope that Tawny is at peace now. 🙏❤
