  1. The Frank Valentini way - it’s been like that since the end of his OLTL tenure and almost immediately when he came over to GH. The only way they’re getting an aesthetical makeover is if he and the people he brought along with him are gone. GH still has a great variety of sets, but that’s just about the only thing the show has going for it under Valentini’s vapid and soulless production.
  2. I think she's a terrible talk show host, but I did enjoy her recent reunion with Cynthia Erivo and them singing a bit of What About Love? from The Color Purple Broadway revival they were both in.
  3. Beyond the whole Laura absence, it’s going to drive me crazy if Lulu is at the Quartermaine mansion and doesn’t get to interact with Tracy, who loves her and thinks of her as her daughter as well.
  4. If they can’t commit to love and intimacy scenes the same as any other character on the show, then these types of scenes should not be written. This is not real life, and no actor gets to dictate how much effort they pour into certain scenes vs. others. i’d gladly write Brook Lynn and Chase out, and have Brook Lynn return solo with an actress that can commit to all aspects of the character regardless of her personal religious beliefs.
  5. I hope the holes that were poked through were wide enough! Brook Lynn's wardrobe rivals 90's Laura wardrobe in the frumpy department most of the time.
  6. They wouldn’t air reruns for cancelled shows regardless, but to your point, since they didn’t own those shows or their distribution rights, they don’t have rights to re-air them.
  7. RIP, what an incredible talent and what a career and life lived.
  8. MTS is looking exquisite these days.
  9. I wonder if Genie's guarantees are just very low and they wasted it on a lot of the Heather garbage this year.
  10. BET, like its sister MTV, is basically a wasteland of repeats and marathons of shows at this point.
  11. Like Carly, everyone has to be friends with and love Joss and her self-righteous ass. You can’t have anyone antagonistic with her for too long.
  12. Paramount+ from all media accounts has not been profitable and has been a source of concern for Viacom, so even a moderate success on that platform would be notable.
  13. I guess AMC was a happier personal experience, but she faced the same thing character-wise. Hell, I’d probably go as far to say Ceara was more poorly developed than Diana (despite Agnes Nixon’s involvement).
  14. I hadn’t seen this interview before, not the first time she’s done this, but Genie Francis shades the hell out of DAYS for not giving her a character. She really seemed to hate her experience on DAYS.
  15. It’s impossible to feel any sympathy for Giggly Heffa/SyPhyllis when she goes on her victim act and starts spouting crap about her “rivals” like Sharon, Diane, and Cricket when she’s consistently and intentionally done much worse crap and has never been held accountable for anything for more than 5 seconds. At least Stafford has started to tone it down a little recently, that’s as much as I can say.
  16. I wish she could be a 2024 “dead” character instead. 🙂
  17. Unless there is a complete regime change and people come in who actually care and aren’t afraid to embrace black characters, the status quo on this show will never change.
  18. They also have a park set that they’ve used, so it’s random as f.uck when they use CGI. It’s clearly to save money and time, but they use it so randomly that it’s even more jarring as hell. They could afford a new Newman ranch set and a car crash explosion last week, but can’t bring out the park set they’ve used for this? But, otherwise, the production has vastly improved since Ed Scott came back. The CGI looked even worse before.
  19. Oddly, Sam was probably at her most interesting and dynamic during the summer of sleaze. She could have worked as a venomous, give no f.ucks vixen, but they had no interest in keeping that up and it was back to years of JaSam after that.
  20. Tomorrow’s US episode makes me want to stop watching again (and I probably will soon). I just can’t deal with Giggly Heffa’s sainted victim routine as if she hasn’t done sh!t worse or as bad as what she’s accusing Sharon of.
  21. Abby never acknowledges it was Brad Carlton, not Victor, that raised her dumb ass either.
  22. And Rylan read a lot older in the role too - when the naked heiress stuff was going on, she looked damn near 35 doing that sh!t.
  23. More recently, thank god for Ed Scott coming back to Y&R and refreshing the overall production. The lighting, directing, acting, and general aesthetics of the show have gotten so much better since he's been credited as Senior Producer for the past 2 weeks. Production-wise, it's almost night and day.
  24. Robert Calhoun for centering both ATWT and GL during his tenures at each show and for realizing that there was nothing wrong with "going back to basics."
