RHOP Love every moment of it. The spotlight was on La Dame, hunni!!! And for me, she was spectacular!!! Did @VirginiaHamilton watch? hehe. I almost wanted to watch the episode later because it's been a rugby weekend for me. But I could use the break from the hot men and focus on La Dame Grande. I know there are plenty of people who felt she could not carry a show without the others in the DMV. But I felt she has enough of a personality to carry something as short of this (2 episodes...though after tonight I would have mind 5 episodes top just because I felt we were getting a lot and even I found it hard to keep up with the family tree). She...did not disappoint. Legacy. As black people, yes, that can be a big thing. Especially when your family goes back centuries. And La Dame was not wrong. Most families...it usually takes something bad like a funeral to get people to regroup. I know my family on my father's side tries to do family reunions as best they can. But we all have such different lives even though a bunch of us are grouped around St. Louis and Arkansas respectively. That was why I did like being best man in my brother's wedding (though he scheduled it around my bday...the only time he knew I would be off guaranteed hehe). I got to see a lot of my late father's side of the family and we got so many pictures. And I was kinda sad another of my cousins was engaged because I knew I would not be around for the wedding. This was all pre-pandemic, but I was happy to hear they did get married. I have another cousin who still tries to get us together as best she can...my cousin I always mention here since she and I usually watch RHOA and RHOP across time zones. This year she has been following her lifelong dream to be a nurse and I've been cheering her on for years so it's been great to see her going after her dreams and accomplishing them while staying humble. Love her. But I went off on a rant. LOL. The point was...we as black families do tend to get together for black news, but good news...??? So good to see her trying to organize something. And let me start with La Dame's family. Sorry to not see her son wasn't around for this. But OMG her daughter!!!! She has really, really grown. And look where she's been. Globetrotting bringing fashion just like her mama. And she was such a fun mini-Kuurren while staying humble. And Ray...was Ray. And hahahaha at him and La Dame being stronger than ever with the family reunion dancing. And wait...it's been a minute...did we know this was La Dame's SECOND marriage? I feel like it was briefly mentioned. As for her extended family. I liked them a lot. Ms. Val though with her guns... Being from Arkansas, other I hollered at them and the names. And Le Dame with the caterer kikiing over Ms. Val having a man who was 20 years younger...and her son's reaction since they were friends...oops. Messy. lol. But her son is messy, too, doing that swerve to wake up his sisters. And I love that they want to stay around the farm and keep it going. Stay in the family. And who didn't have that uncle who you and your sibling have to double team on. Just saying. It was just so relatable to me. And resonating so well. Bonus...I love Gizelle and Wendy were out there promoting the show.

They are all back. And I've been enjoying seeing the new season on Tuesday on Bravo so thank God. I think that would be especially cool given the format allows for them to talk about what it would be like to be filmed on a reality tv...especially with such dramatic moms.

BH Hehehe. Tell it, Garcelle!!! I've been behind as well, but it's from the finale where I believe Shannon had a theme party and they did a show together...that fans really seem to like though they said the finale was meh. I'm gonna finish out the season because while the middle is boring, the cast is suppose to gel by their next cast trip and Heather vs Noella is going to heat up. I'm sorry the finale got really low ratings and that reunion trailer doesn't look good but it sounds like the cast will find its footing. Hehe. You remind me that I need to start my binge as well. Tubi has been calling me all week to start. So happy they picked up the majority of the international housewives shows.

4-13 Oooo....YES, YES, YES!!!! And there it goes...watching the art gallery scenes between Spencer and Trina. And I now really seeing the sparks. *promptly swoons* And nice catch that he's her abili in a way. OH...so we are going there with Willow and Nina...well, Harmony has come to life over the mess at least. Can we keep Felicia and Anna on missions and looking fabulous? lol. I loved their first adventure and I'm loving this one, not realizing Valentin is involved. Shut up, Michael!!!

I definitely think Robert Newman is a great recast. But I have always had a soft spot for 'Joshua.'

I'm still getting used to it being on Tuesday. I almost missed it due to being busy with work, taxes, and working on a new novel. lol. But yes, it's been the highlight of my Tuesday. I've behind on NJ still, but from what I got from Twitter, it wasn't so much just Teresa as it's the fact that the Producers tried to do a Denise Richards Special on her when 1) you know and I know and mention often how much Marge talks crap about Teresa...to the point Teresa finally brought it up at last season's reunion...but Production wanted to forget about that and 2) the fans remember the wine toss, the husband toss, and the water drop that Marge did so no need to paint her as a saint. And since the fanbase from what I can tell is split pretty even between Team Marge and Team Teresa, they were tearing up Twitter over Round 1. I guess I will see how I feel once I'm caught up, but I'm not currently liking Marge, but I still feel there have been enough clues on air to see she is behind so much of the BTS stuff. I agree. RE: NY Season 10. I remember liking it the first time around. Especially Lu in Boss Bitca mode with Bethanny in those power suits pre-wedding. And I thought how the cast felt about her Lu said it best at the start of Season 11...the show must go on...WITHOUT YOU. *giggles* And yeah, there was a lot going on, but Bethanny vs Carole was so LC vs Heidi 2.0 in how real it was when they feel out. And good friendships falling apart has always been good, resonating trainwreck drama that one couldn't help, but watch. But with them, yes, it got toxic reeeeeeeal quick.

I would love for Kyle to come back like he was when he was introduced again under Sally and Mel as an ambitious player.

4-8 Yeeeeeah no to Liam/Steffy again. I know he's the father of her kids, and yet...why is he there? I am HERE for Sheila vs Li. I could watched more of that. And for once, it's Sheila against someone that doesn't know (or does she?) Sheila's rap sheet.

I was SMH so much during those scenes. She should have totally faked out everyone, but Nikki. Or better yet, Nikki would have seen through the act. She knows Nick will try to save her, Adam will try to either screw her over or betray her to Ashland outright (and Victor will probably forgive him), and Victor will try to oneup her because he can and hates Ashland more than he loves Victoria when it comes to business. She really should have gone it alone. Me, too!!! I've lived for the Abbotts growing up. And I loved that was reference last week when Jack was talking to Allie about what it was like to be a member of the Abbott family with their breakfast routine because there are COUNTLESS flashbacks to be used because it was completely true and not just some made-up memory as writers tend to like to do. Same. It should say something that through all the writing regimes in the last few years that the writers do seem drawn to the Abbotts rather than the Newmans. And that's sad because the Newmans are still written for and nothing new really comes of it even when the writers try. Meanwhile, the Abbotts could get just pieces of storyline and turn that little bit into threads of gold. Just look at right now. The Abbotts are attached to the Diane Return Story. The Newmans are attached to the Ashland story. And one story is playing the beats for the most part and you can see the care the writers are putting into it. The story seems like people in a room talking in circles and no showing of any action or progression...like people talking just to talk rather than using the story to make some conflict. I think we can guess which story has more beats to it. But seriously, just in what is going on it feels like you can tell what the writers like writing about and for versus who they don't care for.

4-5 I swear...Laura just makes everything better. And I love how she LOATHES Esme. There really isn't anyyone on canvas that gets under her skin like Esme does. Not even Victor. It makes me think of old school DAYS Marlena vs Kristen. Le sigh. So...they are going there with Liz? I know I was warned here. And that plot twist scene was well done with her seeing the shadowman and then jumping awake. And then finding the note. I...have mixed feelings. I believe I said it in the March thread that it is plausible at least...but I don't remember Liz's backstory except that she was sent to live with Audrey because she was rebelling. But I cannot remember if they said why. They might have since I was in HS then. However, like others I hope they are not going to do a Rick Webber 2.0 on Jeff Webber cuz ewwwwwww. And any story centered on Liz...as a RB fan...I like and RB is selling this story so well. I loved seeing those Spencer/Sonny scene. And I hate to say it, but since Nixon Falls, MB has been looking like a snack for his age. So Gym Sonny was kinda foine. I know I feel soooo guilty. Yaaaaaay we finally got to the Deception launch!!!! I liked it was brief, but so much happened. Maxie/Austin's coming out party. The Austin/Brooklyn truce. Sasha high as a kite and no one knows it...and that story is progressing finally. Even a bit of comedy as Gladys realized Sasha just became wealthy through stock. And...the reveal as Ms. Wu as a stockholder in Deception. And speaking of Ms. Wu, let me repeat myself from my status update: ---I love that since the actress got back from her family trip that the writers have slowly but surely have her weaving herself into everything. So subtly. So stealthy. So many threads she is getting into and STILL have a respectful relationship with Sonny so it's not all out war. Yet. She has always had the presence of an adversary since Carly was in charge of Sonny's empire and I love she is truly getting to live up to the potential shown in those scenes. I want more. Can you imagine if she and Lucy have a conflict? Not to mention it's just a matter of time before she runs afoul of Orbecht now that she's holding something Faison related over Britt's head. Very happy to see Ms. Wu is so weaving into so many things like a octopus with many tentacles. She is totally outshining Victor Cassindine right now. A hard thing to do. 4-6 BOOM!!! What am I talking about? I see the Trina recast has found her footing at this housewarming party. And she's giving off all kinds of chemistry with her mother, her mother's man, and TJ. Promise for that promo I posted in the spoiler. I knew she would find her footing. Like most newcomers. And DOUBLE BOOM!!! I see the writers are picking up the Jennifer Smith thread again. Now let's see if they reveal who this secret mob boss is and hope it is not what I suspect and it's Hat Dad.

4-8 That was a chore. lol. However, I hollered at Adam trying to screw over Victoria's plans when all he had to do was sit back. But...like father, like father I guess. Victoria should have just played all close to the vest and told NONE OF THEM. Okay, except for Nikki. Realizing I'm not liking this new Chance. Still stuck on Mr. Melissa O I guess.

You're welcome. As soon as I saw it, I figured you would want to see it. Now I need to find time to watch the flagship myself.

4-6 I've said it before and I've said it again...I've been LOVING all of these flashbacks during Diane's return. Whoever went and found them so deserve a bonus. They have been so specific and worthy and definitely would not have been easy to find so I'm all for them getting. I did not see all of the Diane/Jack/Phyllis triangle Round 1 so some of them flashbacks have been eye opening. Like the Phyllis skinnydip one...and the one where Phyllis comes up to see Diane stroking Jack's hair as he plays with young Kyle. They have been oh so priceless. It is definitely clear that the writers are invested in this story...even if the story of how with Deacon and the cropse was eye rolling. There are beats that are surely being played. Twists like Phyllis still hating Diane, BUT willing to be the voice of reason in the situation (and we know I don't like Giggly Heffa, but credit where it's due). And the foreshadowing scene with Ashley, Traci, and Billy about Allie, not realizing that Diane is slowly but surely about to come back into their lives...excellent. But since they are clearly invested in the Diane returns story, it shows (pun unintended) in the other stories how not invested they are...cuz Nate changing careers...that is nothing but lip service. It would be something if Nate clearly was conflicted. Or what if Olivia showed up and disapproved which put her in conflict with Lily or Devon because they felt it was a slight to Neil's memory? Noah falling into a depression has potential, but again that (like Chance's PTSD) is soo undercooked. Not to mention a lot of telling and not showing. The writers did not show Jack calling Kyle...a missed beat...but I STILL feel they are more invested in that story than Nate, Chance, or Noah...and they are the next generation. In fact, the only other story I feel the writers are focused on is Victoria's revenge on Ashland. And even that felt half-hearted given the great intervention scenes of Victoria vs everybody. Oh....off screen Victor pulled some strings to keep them in town. Oh...ok. However, we let AH play what she plays well...an ice bitca...and she hits Ashland where he hurts? But...time will tell.

4-6 I am still waiting for a fakeout a la DAYS Melaswen. That said...those scenes were crazy!!!! But again...SHEILA. Happy that if anyone found them, it was Deacon. And it says a lot about him that he was able to move past his issues with Ridge and call to let him know. And wow at Sheila keeping it together when Deacon found her. If anything bugged me, it was that the Carter story really and truly has upped and vanished. I would rather had that as a B plot while the Sheila drama was going down instead of Ridge, Taylor, and Thomas in between scenes just talking about Steffy and memories with no flashbacks.

4-4 GET HIM, AVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, how stupid is Nickolas to be falling for this 'fake' act when she is anything, but fake with everyone not Spencer/Nickolas? Wow. Nothing too major to bind everything together right now, but I've been liking the developments. First of all...HARMONY IS BEING NEIL'S DEATH!!!!??? Because they weren't already doing a good job at organic conflict with Alexis and Harmony by Sam's clear disdain as well as Molly's concern? Not to mention how Harmony is slowly falling into the Nina/Willow/Wiley mess. And now we have Neil's brother with a file on her. I thought a good job was done because we have been watching Alexis get back into the thick of PC stuff. Meanwhile, Harmony has been off in her own corner, brought into slowly. Now they are in each orbit and gradually dealing with that. So perfect time to move them from C burner to a nice B plot. Second of all...The Trina story. I liked that as soon as it went down 1) Portia was there and TAGGERT. Glad I loved seeing them together and Taggert was about to tear that police office up for his girl. 2) Everyone immediately just went ESME. No hesitation. Carly and Ava at the Metro Court with Sonny and saying her name in unison was a hoot. 3) AP stepped up her game as Esme. She's been great so far, but more in a 'I hate her' way...somewhere in the last few weeks of this...perhaps around the Ryan reveal...she moved to 'love to hate' for me. And one cannot help but wonder what she will do next. I am looking forward to Ava making good on her threat a la GOSSIP GIRL vibe on her. That's for sure. As for the recast, I've been enjoying her for the most part so far with TA...but I am still undecided on if she and AC have chemistry to me, but I thought I saw a spark in this week's promo so I will wait and see. Love that Scotty is her lawyer, too. If anyone can get to the bottom of it...it will be he. And if not he...Sonny...Ava...Carly...now that I think about it...The Trina story is bringing everyone together. hehe Third of all...Scotty and Nina??? I am all for more Scotty. If anyone will make sure Nina gets it...or a secret comes out...it will be Scott. So I am here for it. Awwww at Laura and Liz interacting. But Laura always makes my viewing better. Is it too much to see Dr. O vs Ms. Wu?
