POTOMAC LOL!!! La Dame called it at the reunion last year. She said she and Wendy would be friends. And if you had told me that not only La Dame would be right, but that I would be enjoy them so much, I would have thought you were tripping. But...I REALLY LOVE THEM TOGETHER. And they were even rubbing off on Askale. Her chin check of Gizelle (not to mention La Dame and Wendy tag teaming her) was just delicious. I was cheering on Team Left at the dinner table. The only thing I did not like about another good episode of POTOMAC was what @NothinButAttitude said. This commercial promos kept it real, but the preview from last week said the mess was really suppose to start this week. It looks like it is going to be a slow burn, meaning I suspect next week's cliffhanger will probably be Wendy vs Gizelle. And the editing is wrong for that. False advertisement indeed. LA DAME. And this is why we love her. She had straight talk with Wendy at the end, uplifting her after the Green Eyed Bandits tried to tear her down. She kikied with Askale...even though she is actual ROBYN'S friend. And she still had time to gather Gizelle together. But still knew to pick her battles, using a good amount of wit and grace. She was great throughout. GIZELLE. She was really pressed. And then at that dinner she was going after THREE people (Candiace, Wendy, and Robyn), one of whom is her BFF. WOW. And then her continuing to spread the Eddie rumor...not unlike how she did Monique last season. Always in everyone else's business when she should be in her own. Love the chin check from Askale and gathering she got from La Dame. ROBYN. Okay, I get what you all were saying about Robyn and depression. I loved the talk at dinner about that. The pandemic was not easy on a lot of people. And while it's not over and people have gone on as best as they can, one can forget about the aftereffects. I did not like how Gizelle was badgering her about Juan. Especially while the other ladies were being sympatheic. ASHLEY. ON THE OTHER HAND...I LIVE for Michael Darby shading Robyn re: Juan. I so giggled at him being all I told you so about Robyn and Juan getting married. Oops. It was great to see her with her babies, but it's time for Messy Ashley to hit. CANDIACE. OOooooo look at that!!! Gizelle attacking her marriage? Shocker! But Candiace checked her with the quickness. and La Dame's looks when she did was the icing on the cake. lol. And her as the voice of the reason during the first round of La Dame vs Gizelle...growth? MIA. Had a few brief moments, but was really minimum this week. WENDY. Like I said earlier, I liked that the group got into it about New Wendy. And for the first time, I liked that I saw signs of last season's Wendy. And while she owes (especially those Bandits) anything, I liked that she explained herself. I did wonder if that 'a lot going on' comment was subtle shade at Production editing out her fight with Gizelle at the spa. And of course all of this talk led to her and La Dame tag teaming Gizelle...and the look Gizelle gave her when she giggled at La Dame gathering her...PRICELESS. A good start to the trip, but ready for the mess.

I haven't finished it yet, but I have started to watch the latest BH and I stopped on the scene where Garcelle said that it was telling that all of the Coven was out with Erika while basically the newbies were along in the room. And THAT said it all. And she's right. There has been a divide since last season. There's a reason why people like her and Sutton. Simply put, we got to see their friendship begin. We watched it grow. And most importantly it is a friendship that is consistently one outside of the show. And SPOILER ALERT!!!!...Sutton has gotten close to Crystal as well outside of the show. Those three (and Kathy to my knowledge) do act like actual friends outside of the show and are not afraid to have some problems that we get to see on the show. It does not at all come across fake at the moment and people can relate. To the good and bad. It resonates. Then you have the Coven outside. They are trying to sell that narrative while being sure they are not overstepping too much because like true mean girls, one of them might turn on the rest. Where is the friendship indeed? It's why the majority of the audience is over them. Nothing is real...not even their 'friendship.'...which is more about making a statement on and off the show...funny since they really don't hang when they are not filming. And I think we all know the best HW shows (*cough*Potomac, NJ*cough*) are the ones centered around the real friendships. Even the POTOMAC clip I posted earlier...for all the potstirring in that scene and shade...they come across as an actual group of friends. And the talk was totally relatable since we (and the online community) have been talking about the changes with Wendy. Don't remind me re: Season 8 Kyle. Ugh. Ex Soap Opera Star can obsess all she wants. As long as she knows Black Twitter will get her face, lips, and body all the way together if she comes for Garcelle obsessively like she does Denise and LVP (who is opening yet ANOTHER restaurant and continuing spinoffs). Yeah, I haven't seen much Kyle vs Erika yet, but since it was mentioned...I've noticed a lot of looks between Kyle and Ex Soap Opera Star that Erika does not seem to be noticing. So...things that make you go hmmm....would they truly throw her under the bus? REALLY??? Who's Terhadee? Yeah...it really was a good one.

I feel that Kyle has totally ironically been a Bobby Fischer in this whole Erika deal. It's why I continue to bring up the point that it's clear...like with Erika's mascara rundown scene with Kyle being the talk-to versus Erika's BFF Ex Soap Opera Star...when Kyle is being 'Producer Kyle' versus just 'Kyle Wannabe HBIC.' She definitely knows after last season that last label won't fly right now given how they ganged up on Denise...though she tried it this season with Dorit. But she really are moving people along right down to dear sis Kathy. It's plain as day, but subtle enough to give one pause. And I feel she is playing it well IMHO. I hate to say it but she really is spinning a clever web that intrigues as it goes on. However, Erika is not a fool regardless of her questionable acting skills. There's a reason why she has FINALLY changed her tune online like how she should have been from the beginning...a victim with perhaps some sympathy for the victims if she herself was not in suuuuuch pain. That debatedably MIGHT make her more favorable. But she has been taking pot shots at people and I don't think it is just Sutton she is aiming at. I also feel there is a reason as this has gone on (and it should be a 20 episode season per Kathy and Andy C unless they cut down the number like they did last season due to backlash allegedly) that online opinion appear to be that it will be Kyle vs Erika at the reunion. It is like you and FrenchBug said and I agree as well. It's not the first time a Housewife was one way and watched the season or edits and suddenly or slowly changed their tune. Remember Kyle last season? Then they took that unannounced hiatus and everything shifted in behavior AND confessional. So I am sure as a Producer, Kyle has a hint of where things are going, told her henchwoman Ex Soap Opera Star like they did with Denise, and have started a counter narrative to Erika. At some point, they have to know some of the information the rest of us do and see the need to step back enough to not feel the backlash, but make sure Erika does not see them do it. And now they have scapegoats in Garcelle and Sutton so that makes it even easier. Meanwhile, they can paint themselves as victims of the whole ordeal, hoping to smell like roses...rather than being seen for the thorns they are. So while I am sure they are being supportive on WWHL, I really do expect the worm to turn. And while I do think Garcelle and Sutton will still get attacked come reunion time...they might not be the only ones this time. Assuming the cracks in the Coven right now are truly that. Cracks.

I agree. There be too many moments that just scream soap opera and that they get it (the wedding, Tracy's visits, the current stuff with Willow/Michael/Chase, Spencer's return) and then there be clear ugh in the direction. And it goes downhill.

HAHAHAHA!!! So if this article is true...I called it right yesterday with Dorinda!!! Perfection. As for SLC and the timeslot...AT LAST!!!! Last season the main complaint was its timeslot because their first season was FLAWLESS. And now putting it there...WITH POTOMAC!!!! I might have to keep two bottles of wine on Sunday. BH Episode 11. And totally a misunderstanding on Garcelle's end. Now everyone else's...??? If Episode 10 was about setting up Erika to have a big fall, this episode felt like the Coven needing a convenient scapegoat to me. As usual Kyle was background. It was telling when Erika had her meltdown that Ex Soap Opera Star was there with tissue ready and throwing daggers with her eyes at Garcelle. And then Dorit wanted to paint a picture...a comment she made earlier in the episode ironically about Erika. Felt a lot like gaslighting. And I can't say those tears looked fake. As others have mentioned, were the tears real because Erika had been caught in a lie and thus, deflection? Probably. Such a careful house of cards she was trying (and doing poorly) to keep from falling. And...Oops!!! In any case, she's lucky Garcelle didn't drag her like how she drags Ex Soap Opera Star every chance she got. That said...if this is about having a scapegoat, it is good to see Crystal and Sutton have Garcelle's back. She'll need it. More notes... KYLE. So sniper from the side. It was telling to me that the next day after Erika talked about Tom's crash, there she was with the Coven (+ Crystal) really and truly trying to save that 'Tom was mean' narrative. It made me wish that there was some way for Tom to have his own narrative. Not that he is not to blame, just because right now we really only have one person's word: Erika. And she has proven not to be completely reliable. Of course, she would sit back during Erika's meltdown. The better to have others do the heavy lifting. And lest, we forget...Kyle is the one with the wacky sister. God, she's so calculated. DORIT. Hehe. Trying to be Team Coven and sneaking in to attack Garcelle, too. SMH. Bad look, honey. EX SOAP OPERA STAR. Over there next to Erika playing Taylor McBride with those looks and arm moves. Speaking of calculated...THIS. She was just waiting to pounce on Garcelle for something. Trash box. CRYSTAL. Didn't really do much, but have Garcelle's back. Good for her. SUTTON. THANK YOU for having common sense. Of course, this meltdown is about something else. And definitely seem to be on the nose of what's up given her past experience. GARCELLE. Heart was in the right place. Also due to past experience. It was clear a misunderstanding. And Garcelle has always established that she is a straight shooter AND a ride-or-die kinda of friend. And those friends WILL keep a secret if told. No one told her so she revealed something she shouldn't have. And she owned that. I also liked that she did not back down from anyone trying to gaslight her. That said...I hollered at the Hamzat suit. ERIKA. I swear watching just makes me think of POTOMAC's Robyn saying you almost had me. For every moment I feel she gets a little real, there are so many more when it feels staged or fake. And I also have to keep in mind what she was doing online as this was being filmed on top of that, making it hard to be sympathic at all. And then jumping Garcelle? Girl, go look in the mirror with your sloppy self-editing work!! That's on you slipping, not on Garcelle for mentioning it when she did not know nor is she Jean Grey. You can have ALL the seats. And just because I did not mention her, Kathy is still a hoot.

SLC SEASON 2 TRAILER!!!! AKA BOOM!!!!

BH Well I'm finally sitting down (with a glass of wine) and playing a game of catch up. And I left off at Episode 10 and...WOW. Episode 10 is the start of the La Quinta trip (which must have been what they filmed without Garcelle here in my area of town a while ago) and the story of Erika and Tom's car crash. What I found interesting about it was...it already seems like lines are being drawn. And moreso since it's a Garcelle-less episode, the fact that it revealed cracks in the Coven. Surely Erika did not tell Kyle, Dorit, and Ex Soap Opera Star to pick on her character in their confessionals. Aren't they supposed to have her back? Yet here was Kyle throwing shade. And there was Ex Soap Opera Star bringing up the orphans and widows and burn victims. Meanwhile, there was Dorit with the whole article about the assets being frozen. ALL behind Erika's back and when she was not around. And then there they were trying to be sympathetic friends to her face. In fact, the only ones who seem to be (or looked) caring was Kathy, Crystal, and...to a lesser extent...Dorit. Kyle and Ex Soap Opera Star...kept giving looks to each other during the 'confessional.' And for all their COVENness, it seem like they are finally and slowly throwing Erika under the bus and setting her up. Even now, PK is already telling Dorit to keep her distance. And yet for all of that...Erika and that 'acting...' Lord...so much bad extra. That said...I felt there were silvers where she came across...justifically upset...and that made her real. And then she would pull some lame mood, or be fake tough, or take to making a narrative...and that realness fell apart. And NO, I would be like Sutton, confused over that story, too. So...quick notes... KYLE. People are already saying that it's going to be her vs Erika come Reunion time. And you know what? Just looking at this episode, I believe it. Up until now, it would seem Kyle...both Kyle and Producer Kyle...had Erika's back. So perhaps at some point even Producer Kyle saw the writing on the wall...or the Producers did...and are now starting to set Erika up. And yes, I do not feel Erika will take kindly to watching all this back and seeing it. Before Kyle would be all 'be honest, walk in her truth, etc.' Now she really is throwing major shade at Erika, even hinting that Erika is putting on an act. Damning to her courtcase for sure. Thankfully, she has Kathy to keep her appearing human. Though...why are they letting her cook again? DORIT. Bringing up the frozen assets? Hmmm...did that Coven have a BTS meet? It was just so produced and even I arched an eyebrow. And then those scenes with PK and FINALLY touching on the lawsuit they had seriously. Well, using it as the reason for Dorit to strategically back away from Erika. Obvious and yet...well played. EX SOAP OPERA STAR. Look at her running with the frozen assets narrative. Using it to mention the victims. Something Erika has not done up until now. So funny given how she keeps wanting to be Erika's BFF. SUTTON. Hmmmm...I see her wheels turning. Which I find sad since she really has been truly supporting Erika right up until now. Now that doubts are creeping in, we know this won't end well. CRYSTAL. I like her and Sutton getting along, but I am disappointed that it happened off screen. Her feud with Sutton has carried the whole first half of the season and we as viewers deserved to see them turn the corner AND the process of the turned corner. As Sutton would say...that's not right. All right onto Episode 11...
