I was happy to see that after being background for so long that Portia was getting a family. They casted him and her father. And they showed up for the wedding (which was during a good February Sweeps). I knew I shouldn't get my hope up to see another black family in town...and SOD back then was even saying he would pop back in at some point...but I was interested when he finally came back in the fall for sure. That could be a possibility. I just wish we had gotten a one liner about where he vanished to. I figured something was up when Scott finally came back into play.

Portia's FOINE brother who popped in for her wedding to Curtis when Trina found out about her parentage. He later came back in the fall and flirted his way into Jordan's pants...which now that I think about it might have been the last time she had sex but anyway...Jordan had slipped and told him about her kissing her ex who was now married not realizing she was talking to Portia's brother and he put two and two together. And it was a little bit of drama since Curtis couldn't decide if he could forgive Portia for not telling him about Trina which led to said stolen kisses. It appeared that the writers were going to let him stick around because it turned out he was a lawyer and he was getting story with Drew and anyone who needed a lawyer. But then...he vanished.

And for Sidwell? Ugh. smh. I like them in the mix as well with Curtis and Portia, but I'm not totally on board with a Jordan/Curtis/Portia 2.0 and Isaiah taking Zeke's place.

There's nothing wrong with being bias toward Alexia. What made their argument at the table good was that they both had valid points. Both were right, but neither of them were wrong, either. Heck, I'm sure that I said the same about Stephanie when the season started about her being too new to the group to offer an opinion on the dynamic out of the gate. She should have pulled a Season 1 of BH Garcelle or Season 1 of OC Jen (from what I remember) and just sat back and slowly got a feel for the group dynamic. I know I said Alexia is at her best when she's been activated which Stephanie is doing so points for her for doing that.

Oh, I for sure think SilkPress will go over there to make her presence known which is why I said the obvious. But I do wonder if there is something in the paperwork that she might need Anita for just off the dialogue on Monday about the benefiency. When my father passed, there was drama over that very thing (the wording). Allegedly. Even though my father made it very clear about some things. And the state also made it clear on some things. Some family members felt differently. But I disgress. Short version, there was paperwork specifically with MY name on it. And those members had no choice but to back down.

I'm starting my rewatch for the week and while Anita had mentioned the trust to Vernon when she revealed the truth about Barbara to him, in the talk Anita is having with Nicole, she's giving specifics on the trust. The money was set up to what Barbara would have earned if she had continued on with the Articulates as well as investments that had been made throughout the years (and Anita said invested wisely). Barbara's family is listed as the benefactors and Anita's name is hidden on it. And as Anita also mentioned the reunion concert money went into it as well. It seems like Anita is still actively involved in that trust so I can see why SilkPress will be going directly to her this coming week...outside of the obvious.

Taste. No worries. I am more in the B&B thread (and of course the BTG thread) more than the Y&R these days. I stumbled out over the Damian stuff because that was so distasteful for me. And for CANE? And given my story feelings for Chance...not to mention what happened to Cole...I couldn't keep going. I saw Jill's first (phone) appearance. And that was just it for me. I can't with JG. The show needs a change. And teasing a Shick reunion ain't it. And even B&B was harmless, but enjoyable fluff for me until Friday's Grace scenes. I finally picked up Monday's episode more due to my love of Li, but that show is on a slippery slope with me. Come on in re: BTG and enjoy the mess. Especially after that Friday coda. We been discussing that allllllllllllll weekend. I bet the thread will hit 100 pages again this month.

I agree. They could have reset Luna now that she was out and kept her sane, but an interesting bad girl. Though she could have been an interesting bad girl without sacrificing Hollis for sure.
