IMO the Republicans endgame is to control enough state houses and seats in Congress so they can have virtually permanently control and they have enough votes to add or get rid of some Constitution amendments. They are already know that about 70% there in meeting that goal. They might not succeed in having Trump as president for the rest of natural life but they will make sure the next Republican president will be able to.
