  1. I also liked the one at the Triple L diner with Bryan Ferry's version of "Will You Love Me tomorrow" which kicked off Luke and Laura's return.
  2. Mostly agreed, although I didn't like 96. And I generally liked the show up until around 2021, although problems with it were definitely growing after 2018.
  3. I only just watched now, but I think the logic was about getting a succession plan in place just in case Sonny suddenly croaks it for any reason. They mentioned Nixon Falls and all the drama that happened then with Carly and Jason having been unprepared to take over - Sonny doesn't want that sort of situation to happen again.
  4. That's actually a scene taken from the first episode of Night Shift where the paramedics were affected by a gas leak in the ambulance and they had a Jane Doe in the back who was continually teased as Brenda - she was badly burned after someone lit a cigarette and blew up the ambulance https://youtu.be/gVzcMzf6M0M?si=mg2zASgs4sLgIN2-&t=206
  5. I'll have to disagree with you there, now granted I don't know what is common in the US but where I am from it is expected that one can have a support person in a work meeting (and the employer cannot legally refuse either) who can be a family member, friend, partner, legal representative, union member or even an emotional support clown lol. That said, I do think that Ric was clearly the better choice to be the support person in this case.
  6. Helena got a brainwashed Lucky to give Lucas something that triggered Lucas' blood sugar to rise (especially dangerous because of Lucas' diabetes) and sent him into a coma. Then kidnapped Tony and told him she wouldn't give him the cure unless he woke up Stavros and also added that she would do the same to Lulu and Michael if he still refused to comply.
  7. Ah yes, I remember now, it was indeed a miscarriage and not a failed implantation, which tbh would've been more plausible than having sex the same day as miscarrying. I mean I'm pretty sure ovulation wouldn't happen that fast after a miscarriage.
  8. There was a childrens love quadrangle between Cameron, Emma, Spencer and Joss about 10 years ago. I kid you not. They were all of about 10 at the time and it went on and on for months. And it was truly weird because they all acted like little adults but also somewhat fitting considering who their parents were i.e they were copying the behavior of the adults around them.
  9. It played out over most of 2013, including before the 50th anniversary when Maxie told Frisco and he threatened Britt to stop blackmailing Maxie. Britt's pregnancy being from one of Dante and Lulu's embryos didn't come out until toward the end of the year, possibly sometime in 2014.
  10. He's got hungry eyes which is usually a good sign. Brenda/VM was another one who had them, back in the day Sonny/MB had them too but not so much anymore.
  11. 6 pages later and nobody mentioned that Maxie was actually supposed to be Lulu's original surrogate. But she had gotten herself pregnant by Spinelli after she either miscarried or the enbryo transfer didn't work (I forget what) and passed off her baby (Georgie) as Dante and Lulu's child for months. While Britt (the ob/gyn) knew the truth and had herself stolen one of Dante and Lulu's embryos to pass off as her child with Patrick - that baby became Rocco
  12. That would've been interesting, could've even plopped Audrey into the story to offer her own insight into the process since Audrey had herself artificially inseminated back in '67 (under much different circumstances of course and Audrey eventually lost the child).
  13. As I said back then my favourite part of the original possession is the Horton Cabin stuff when Mardevil tries to seduce John, and Kristen comes along and tries to throw holy water on her and then Marlena momentarily breaks free and takes off, pursued by the Devil all the way to St Lukes.
  14. Was it perhaps Samantha drugging Marlena and impersonating her while Marlena was locked up at Bayview?
  15. Yeah but that wasn't revealed until 2002, when they decided to make Daphne John's mother (since retconned several more times lol), in order to have Tony (later retconned to be Andre) and John be half-brothers.
  16. I don't think he's been faking per se, more likely that he's so deluded his "reform" has made him believe he has the right to choose life and death for others.
  17. Yes depboy's summaries first mention him on August 2, 1965: When Meg returns home, she finds Brooke is resentful for having had to babysit Scotty and miss a beach party. Meg had arrived about a month earlier so unless Scotty was an off-screen character until his tonsillectomy in December, he would have been around longer than Julie.
  18. I did like Scott's fatherly relationship with Liz which was just about the only good thing to come out of the Liz/Franco pairing
  19. I meant to reply weeks ago but somehow I forgot. I think Mike/Robin were kind of GL's version of Penny and Jeff, they even had similar storylines with slight changes (e.g imagine if Jeff had killed Tom Pope instead of Al James and you get Mike killing Karl Jannings). In the end though Robin and Mike never found there way back to each other after their teen marriage was annulled. Robin went off with the much older Alex Bowden and later Paul Fletcher while Mike eventually got Julie pregnant, which resulted in Hope then moved to Another World for a year after Julie died and didn't come back to GL until after Robin had died.
  20. Interesting:
  21. Yes, that should have ended when Lisa kidnapped Robin and Robin fell down the well
  22. I remember how shocking it was when the summaries from depboy revealed that Polly Prentice's 1969 car accident death occurred whilst she was being rushed to General Hospital following on a DIY abortion. And while that story was likely more about punishing a "bad" character rather than any meaningful debate on abortion rights, GH wouldn't even dare touch it today. Lulu's abortion in 2006 was also told quite well I think. I do wonder how much they were aware about Mark Fowler over on EastEnders at that point. By the time Robin was diagnosed, he'd been HIV+ for 4 years (and like Robin had even lost his own love to AIDS). Not that I'm saying they copied or anything but rather they may have had a look and thought "well he's still a viable character so Robin could still be too." I also remember the episode where she and Jason talked about her going on new medications. Yeah, I think back then testing was at the stage where if it wasn't picked up in the first test you were still advised that it could be up to a year after exposure before you could be truly considered negative, so Robin testing positive at first and then later testing positive was realistic.
  23. Even Alexandra Quartermaine and Tony Cassadine after they got frozen by the ice machine would still be hotter than Chase/Brook Lynn
  24. To be fair, they kind of lampshaded that when Tracy, the last truly "old money" Quartermaine left, walked into the house and saw it for the first time and absolutely hated it.
