  1. Thanks for sharing that.
  2. Bernie Barrow has a big role in this episode.
  3. From one of the articles it looks like she wasn't even supported by Berniebots as she supposed Hillary in 2016, so I guess she really did have to fight all on her own. Maybe that means she will be able to surpass expectations for November. I guess it depends on whether the DCCC is willing to go along.
  4. Most of the talk I heard about with Nebraska was that a big progressive won the primary for their Congressional seat over the former rep (Ashford) and how Democrats in DC are saying they're unhappy at how moderates lost key races last night, etc. I have hard time believing Democrats will win the House (I think at best they'll pick up a few seats, maybe a dozen or so) so I wonder if this is their starting to manage expectations.
  5. That's sad, especially for those who have lost their families through this process. And I have a feeling this will last even after Trump is out of office. I saw some of the photos of Ivanka at the Jerusalem embassy opening and I swear it was like Valerie Cherish had come out to play. Why she decided to act that way and style herself that way at what any idiot would know was a serious and very dangerous occasion, I don't know. I sometimes feel that people put too much blame on the women in the administration or the Trump family, but in this case they aren't wrong.
  6. I'm surprised it took this long. I wonder if that Nobel Peace Prize is still up for grabs.
  7. Disgusting. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/2018/05/trumps-new-cdc-director-aids-is-gods-judgment-against-gays/
  8. More Big and Little Edie footage on the way. https://www.interviewmagazine.com/film/watch-grey-gardens-little-edie-talking-cats-lost-documentary
  9. Didn't they get a lot of criticism this year for mostly bitching and talking over the skaters?
  10. Yes, and we were supposed to be moved when he porked her 'best friend' Kelly.
  11. I could see what you're saying, although I don't know if JFP even knew who Joe was. I took him at the time as JFP's beloved interchangeable [!@#$%^&*] super-stud leading man. I think Gibbs' glaring lack of chemistry with any leading lady also got in the way. Reading that article - I never knew that Justin Deas was ever considered to be joining OLTL. I guess he made the right decision to stay with GL and get a decade more employment.
  12. Tim Gibbs was one of the worst recasts OLTL ever had. I always got the feeling JFP was flummoxed at how unpopular he was with viewers (and he was unpopular from first episode to last). He was clearly supposed to be a big hit. Even Kale Browne was liked by some fans before people began to loathe the character as he took over the show and Nora was made into a mannequin.
  13. Thanks for finding these.
  14. This drives me nuts - all that blather about China yet here we are:
  15. I'm glad for her but she also signed a law at the same time making it more difficult for lgbt people to adopt or foster kids... @marceline I guess you probably weren't surprised Kucinich flamed out in the gubernatorial primary in Ohio, but did you think it would be closer? The media was pushing him so much, I guess because they want to keep the Bernie vs Democrats war going.
  16. Oddly enough they planned to in 1994 but the story was leaked to the press so they dropped it.
  17. This came out yesterday - it talks some about what you mentioned. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/05/10/trump-north-korea-kim-jong-un-nobel-prize-218357
  18. I think: - the testing site collapse has a big role in this - there are probably still other tests or research facilities that we won't know about (and if Trump knows he will stay quiet about for PR reasons) - the sanctions have taken a big toll - China probably got involved as last year they seemed to be increasingly fed up.
  19. I watched a lot of it and it was too self-aware for me, although Richard Hawley (Johnny) gave a very powerful performance.
  20. Disgusting, if not surprising. (and she looks like Kellyanne...) https://www.thedailybeast.com/hes-dying-anyway-white-house-official-mocked-mccain-at-meeting-report-says
  21. Not sure ABC will love this interview...
  22. Lesley Ann was also engaged to Floyd, who dumped her when he found out about her prostitute past.
